  1. Friday I fixed my DB.

Tonight it corrupted again 6 days later !!

Any help would be greatly received ?

I used to run my Plex server on an intel nuc windows machine for like 3 years solid and never had these types of issues.

would love to know if it’s my unraid set or a bug in unraid or the docker or something I’m doing with either backups or PMM ?

    Help !

    Thanks

Have the ducts lowered your HDD temps? And would you mind telling me which online service you used to buy  them please?

Well I've always used them, so I couldn't tell you how much they lowered by temps by.

I cant find the guys i used but I think it was here:- https://3dprintdirect.co.uk/quote/

And it cost something like £25-30 ? which is a bit steep for a bit of plastic, but worth it for peace of mind.

An FYI, i had to shave a bit off the ducts to get them to fit, not alot, but a bit.

  3. Hi All,

I run 3 VM's on my unraid server.

    2 Windows 10 and 1 Windows 11.

They are nothing special (no graphics card passthrough or stuff like that) just daily drivers and normally only 1 is running at any one time.

Both of my Windows 10 VM's are corrupted and wont load now giving me a "windows error 0xc000021a" BSOD. on boot.

The latest one asked to add some windows updates and hit restart as soon as i did this I get the above message so i dont think its a corrupt Cache drive.

Can anyone help or give advice as to how to get this back ?

    Cheers

    Dan

  4. Hi All,

Is PIA down for everyone else too ?

    I keep getting:-

    Quote

    DEBG 'start-script' stdout output:

parse error: Invalid numeric literal at line 2, column 0

    today at 18:39:51 2021-11-15 18:39:51,729 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output:

  5. Hi,

I think my Samsung 970 EVO 500GB cache drive is dying. I'm starting to have multiple random errors on my system such as:-

    1. Docker image becoming read only
    2. VM discs becoming corrupted
    3. Shares disappearing and reappearing on reboot.
    4. Dockers becoming unavailable, shutting down and not updating (Tautulli, & other stuff) ... probably same as 1.

The S.M.A.R.T results for my cache drive are the only drive in my array thats showing errors (Its less than a year old):-

    1. Numb Err Log Entries = 172
    2. Media Errors = 1

    So heres my question:-

Can i move everyting off of my cache drive and onto my array for a period of time (Until I can save for a new SSD) to be my system stable again and then move everything back to the array once i install a new one ???

What would the steps be (Is it as simple as setting all of the shares to Cache:No) letting the mover do its thing and then continue that way

    Thanks

  6. Proper random (Probably stupid question).

If I run a terminal command (Using the web interface) on windows using Chrome I cant escape out of a running script by hitting "Ctrl + C."

On the screen is shows "^c" am I missing something, maybe a keyboard driver update or something silly ?

    Cheers

    Hey!

With some stress and vms running I am at around 70 C on the cpu. I have not yet got the temps for MB. I have not found out yet how to get them to show correctly. Idle at around 30 -35 C

Cheers, mine is idling around 50c with a load of Dockers running and a single windows 10 vm. The motherboard is about the same. I wasn’t sure if that was high or not, but most people are saying that normal and ryzen runs hot

  8. I'm hoping this is a tech issue as im having kittens with these readings on a Ryzen 3600 !

  9. I should probably add that i did the heat mod on the case by adding the air flow ducts to the case!

Here are some picks of my build (Still proud !!)

    Hers all the parts !!

Heres the 3d Printed Air flow mods, my HDD say between 30'sC to 45'Sc unless running parrity then they can jump up to 50c

  10. Hi All,

I recently built my unraid server (about 7 months ago) With the following spec:-

    CASE:- DS380b

    CPU:- Ryzen 3600

    MB:- Rog Strix B450-i

    RAM:- 32GB ddr

    CPU Heatsink & Fan = Noctua L9a

    Case Fans = 3 X Noctua NF-F12-PWM FANs

And until recently i couldnt get the temp info (As Ryzen wasnt supported in the 6.8 kernal).

Now I've got 6.9 (Hurray !) I can see whats going on (No PWM fan control though), and im slightly alarmed by my CPU and MB temps.

I've seen these being refered to as normal, and as its a SFF case i know there can be issues with temps, however i was hoping somone on these forums could alivaite my fears.

I cant run cinebench or anything like that as I dont think you can install ryzen chiopset drivers on a windows 10 vm ?

The CPU Idles at around 50c - 60c at between 10% + 20% utilisation I've got the fans on silent mode, ive set them i the bios to full but that doesnt effect the temps, so i put them back down to silent.

Mothebaord is around the 50c's too as you can see.

Any Advice would be great !

Am i making a mountin out of a mole hill ?

    Cheers

You need to run “sensors detect” from the command line to see what drivers you need to load

I'm guessing this is my problem:-

    Driver `to-be-written':
      * ISA bus, address 0x290
Chip `ITE IT8665E Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)

  12. Hi All,

I've been patiently waiting for 6.9 to come out so that i could get my temps and fans working on my ryzen system.

    I have a ryzen 3600 & ROG STRIX B450-I MB.

I managed to get the temps working but the PWM fans arent being recognised.

I installed Noctua case fans and CPU fan.

Heres my temp set-up in Dynamix System Temperature
