[SUPPORT] DiamondPrecisionComputing - ALL IMAGES AND FILES
Hi, If you go to your Docker tab, then select 'Add Container' down bottom left of the screen (under your last active container), you should be able to select your GluetunVPN config from the 'Template' drop down list. Hope that helps.

[SUPPORT] DiamondPrecisionComputing - ALL IMAGES AND FILES
Evening all, After SpaceInvaders latest video, I thought I'd try out GluetunVPN. I've successfully setup Sabnzbd, Radarr & Sonarr to run through Gluetun, which is running ProtonVPN (wireguard). My issue however is that I can not for the life of me get qbittorrent (Linuxserver version) to work with Gluetun. Qbittorrent will start up and returns the VPN IP provided by Gluetun, however it won't download anything. I believe it will be down to me not having successfully set port forwarding. I have tried a million different things, resulting in a mixed bag of Gluetun and/or qbittorrent refusing to start, and me having to start over several times, but I have now exhausted my ability to solve this on my own. I'm sure it will be something simple. Below are screenshots of my GluetunVPN & qbittorrent setups. Qbittorrent; GluetunVPN; Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ***Update*** For those that may run across this issue in the future, I managed to resolve the matter. Having a further look around the settings within qbittorrent, I changed the network interface (tools-options-advanced) from wg0 to tun0, which is what is set for the GluetunVPN VPN_INTERFACE option, and its working (just tested via ipleak.net). It seems so straight forward in hindsight, but I've been wracking my brain's for the past few days on this.

Urgent help needed
Hi, That's an excellent idea, thank you so much for taking the time to reply, it is very much appreciated. Fortunately I have space on my server to move things around (currently using about 1/4 of my total space) so I will do exactly as you have suggested. Many thanks. p.s. just installed unbalanced and running that now. 👍

Urgent help needed
Hi JorgeB, Yes a passphrase, not a keyfile. I'm frantically trying to salvage as much as I can as I have been using unraid for several years now but I've never had a massive issue like this (completely my own fault). My media can always be replaced, but my overall setup of my server along with all my dockers/configs/mappings would be an absolute nightmare to start over. Any help or guidance would be massively appreciated. Kind regards.

Urgent help needed
Good afternoon, I sincerely hope someone can help. I have just locked myself out of my Bitwarden account and so I have lost access to my passwords and 2FA. I am still logged into my email app however if that helps. Don't worry, I'll be beating myself up for a long time regarding this. As I no longer have access to Bitwarden, I do not have my array encryption password. I am logged in to my server however and the array is running and so is there anyway I can disable my password or change it without losing everything? If this is not possible, what would anyone suggest to be the easiest way for me to maybe backup and start over, however I would very much like to avoid that if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

USB boot drive with pin
😯 Crafty gits. At least you got a new laptop out of it. I've started to use the "freeze card" function on my Curve Card whenever I'm not using it, took me a few weeks to get used to it, now it's not a hassle.

USB boot drive with pin
Thanks for clarifying for me. As I already use encryption on the array, I think I might need to divert my attention elsewhere then.....I'm sure I'll find something that needs correcting in my setup. Thanks everyone. 🤝

USB boot drive with pin
From my understanding of those two drives, once unlocked via pin, they remain unlocked until power is lost to the drive. No additional software is required for operation, it is all handled onboard the device. Fingers crossed it should not cause any issues. You make a fair point. I don't have anything exciting on the usb, other than the standard system files. Am I right in thinking though that information is stored in plain text, or is it obfuscated to an extent? My honest reason for looking at this is that a few weeks back an £800 transaction was made on one of my bank cards by Ticketmaster (US), I don't even have a Ticketmaster account, nor did they know anything about it. Anyway, luckily my bank reimbursed me and since then I've been on a bit of a tinfoil hat crusade, degoogling, password and security hardening, closing old inactive accounts via 'right to erasure' letters. After all that, the only thing I had left to look at was my unRaid usb......I think it's time I come out from hiding under my bed and get back on with my life. 😂 It's been a fun few weeks.

USB boot drive with pin
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll go ahead and purchase a "datAshur Personal2" from Amazon and give that a try, I've never had a problem returning things with them. 👍
-
USB boot drive with pin
Evening all, If I understand correctly, the unRaid usb boot drive can not be encrypted. However, would something like the datAshur Personal2 or Kingston Ironkey work? I appreciate that the pin would have to be manually entered each time the system was to be booted, but is there anything actually preventing either of them being used for unRaid? If not then I'll buy one of them.

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
Thank you kindly.

[Plugin] Appdata.Backup
Good morning, Whilst reviewing my appdata backup, I noticed that it was backing up historic docker xml files going back years, most of which I no longer use. This led me to locate my "previously installed apps" list under Apps (never even knew these where there), and removed them all. However, after another manual backup, the old xml files remain. I've tried scrubbing the docker image, and looking around my system to see where else these old docker templates could be stored, but I've not had much luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Which VPN should I use for Binhex *ARR containers? Is Tailscale compatible?
Hi, For what it's worth, I run Binhex-privoxyvpn as my VPN container, then route Prowlarr, Radarr, Sonarr, Deluge, Bazarr and Sabnzbd through it. As like anything new, there is a learning curve but Binhex has excellent FAQ's and he is very active in this forum (I'm still learning myself). One of the highlights of using unRaid for me, was the discovery of the Binhex containers, I would encourage you to have a read of this link, I'm sure you won't regret it; As for the VPN, I have tried previously Mullvad, PIA and Nord, but now personally use ProtonVPN (wireguard protocol), it's fast, reliable and relatively cheap. NordVPN does not use wireguard I believe, it uses Nordlynx (a proprietary version of wireguard exclusive to NordVPN), so you may want to have a read up in the Binhex-privoxyvpn forum for compatibility, it's been a few years since I last used Nord. Once you establish which VPN provider you will use, you will need to download a CONF file from them and place it in the Binhex-privoxyvpn appdata folder. Regarding Tailscale, I only ever used it when my Internet was previously behind CGNAT, it worked great in that instance when I needed to connect back to my unRaid server for Emby, however I'm not sure how that would play out for the ARR containers. My understanding is that Tailscale is a peer-to-peer VPN, meaning it is geared towards establishing a connection between two of your devices, ie connecting to your unRaid server whilst you're away from home. A traditional VPN provider like Nord and Proton establishes an encrypted tunnel between your server and a remote server owned/run by the VPN provider. Lastly, if you are not behind CGNAT I would encourage you to try out the Wireguard feature of unRaid. My experience using this and Tailscale is like night and day in terms of speed, but that's just my personal experience.

Android phone backup to unRaid?
Evening, I'm not quite sure where best to post this, but here goes. Does anyone have any knowledge if it is possible to automate a complete Android phone backup to unRaid, specifically system settings, contacts, apps etc? I really want to move away from the built-in Google/Samsung backup options and keep my data out of their hands. For reference, my phone is not rooted. Many thanks.

[Support] binhex - Radarr
As always, thank you kindly for replying so quickly. I learn something new every day. I've now gone through each container connected via Binhex-privoxyvpn and removed their ports. Cheers.

Thank you very much for such a prompt response, it's much appreciated. Keep up the excellent work!

[Support] binhex - PrivoxyVPN
Good morning, I have recently updated my binhex-privoxyvpn (and binhex-deluge) images (I have been using old versions for some time). Anyways, my weekly backup took place this morning (via the Backup/Restore appdata plugin), however I woke to two warnings in the backup log for binhex-privoxyvpn & binhex-deluge; Checking the template for both I note the addition of the binhex-shared variable, which I have not edited; My question is, and this may show my lack of understanding regarding mappings, but does binhex-shared need to start with a "/" like the other mappings for it to be valid? I'm just curious as to whether I need to alter anything.

Cloudflare dns to access unRaid - any downside?
Excellent, thanks, that's just the reassurance I need for Cloudflare. I never even thought about using both Duckdns and Cloudflare, that would be great redundancy for my system, I'll look into it. 👍 I've just looked and found a .uk domain for £3.86/year with Cloudflare, I'll register now and go and watch Spaceinvaders DNS video to get setup. Thanks again.

Cloudflare dns to access unRaid - any downside?
Good morning, I've been happily using Duckdns to access Emby on my server (via Wireguard), however this morning Duckdns has been down intermittently. As such I believe a cheap domain with Cloudflare in order to use their dns service will be more reliable. I have limited experience with dns/domains etc, and so my question is, is their any downside to using Cloudflare dns to access unRaid? I won't be using their tunnel service as I believe media streaming is against their TOS, I will only be connecting to my unRaid via Wireguard, no proxies etc, just their dns instead of Duckdns. I wanted to double check before I purchase a cheap domain and set about learning how to set this up, those domain records look fun for the novice like me. 😂

Wireguard connection - Spain to UK issue whilst attempting to play media
Afternoon all, Long story short, I have a conf file created by unRaid's Wireguard, which when used on my phone in the UK, allows me to connect to unRaid and play Emby content with no issues. If I use that same conf file on my phone whilst in Spain, I can again connect to unRaid, load up Emby, however no media will play. For reference, I have a 5G mobile signal in Spain and I have also tried connecting to a 1G WiFi connection, however with the same result. I have eliminated it being a transcode issue or a speed issue. For further clarification, I also have a Nvidia Shield in Spain, which has its own Wireguard conf file (with the same settings as my phone) connecting it with my unRaid server back in the UK, and that plays Emby content fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Wireguard overlapping issue
Morning, I have been successfully using the unRaid built-in wireguard for some time with my phone. Yesterday I tried connecting a remote Nvidia Shield (in Spain) to my unRaid server (in UK) via Wireguard, however it would appear that I have run into the "overlapping IP range" issue as it will not connect. As such, am I right in thinking that I need to change my whole home LAN subnet from 192.168.1.0/24 to something a little more unique to prevent overlapping, or is their a simpler solution (I'm hoping that I have misunderstood and their is an easier way)? I want to double check that this is necessary, as I've never done this before so it will be a huge undertaking for me to change everything on OPNsense, static leases, docker containers etc. I'm tempted to just keep the remote Nvidia Shield on Tailscale, however I do ultimately want everything running via Wireguard. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. My unRaid Wireguard settings;

My Wireguard setup - Critique & advice
Afternoon all, I setup the built-in unRaid Wireguard a few weeks ago and it's been working great, I'm able to remotely connect via my phone, watch Emby, print etc, no issues at all. Looking within Wireguard, it gives various remarks, which I have actioned in relation to "port forwarding" and static route", however I'm a little unsure as to the last remark; "ensure the peer network is different from 192.168.1.0/24". Reading online, it is suggested that I may need to change my "Local tunnel network pool" from 10.253.0.0/24, however as everything is working I wanted to ask, are my settings below correct and should I just leave things the way they are? For reference, my router runs Opnsense on 192.168.1.1 and within Wireguard I have set the "Peer DNS server" as 192.168.1.1 ***Update*** I have today tried connecting a remote Nvidia Shield to my unRaid server via Wireguard, however it would appear that I have run into the "overlapping IP range" issue as it will not connect. As such, am I right in thinking that I need to change my whole home LAN subnet from 192.168.1.0/24 to something a little more unique to prevent overlapping, or is their a simpler solution (I'm hoping that I have misunderstood and their is an easier way)? Strange server GUI behaviour when using Wireguard (SOLVED)
Many thanks for your quick response. I was using Brave browser (Android) on both occasions. I have just installed Chrome and that works without issue. As you said, it must have been ad-blocking. Many thanks. 👍

Strange server GUI behaviour when using Wireguard (SOLVED)
Good morning, When I remotely connect to my unRaid server via Wireguard (the one built in, not docker), my devices do not show up on the Main tab, nor any of my plugin information along the bottom such as temperature and fan speed. Furthermore, upon looking in the Wireguard service (whilst connected to unRaid on LAN), the handshake information displays as "unknown", whereas on the Dashboard tab it correctly displays the last time I connected. Everything else works without issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Immich - Docker image ballooning
Many thanks for clarifying and taking the time to have a look over my readout. Over the next week or so I'll use that readout command to keep my eye on the docker image size, hopefully it's levelled off now or will do shortly.
