  1. To anybody trying to purchase the RTL8125 NIC - DON'T.

    Unraid recognizes the 8125 NIC as a 1.0 gbe.

    I have just purchased a brand new OEM Intel X540-T2 from Ebay for ~$90 USD.   Seems like that NIC works with Unraid.

  2. Am trying to get this NIC to work with UnRaid OS: Asus XG-C100C 10G Network Adapter.   This adapter is using the Aquantia AQN107 Chipset.

    I cannot get UnRaid to recognize the NIC as a 10GBE NIC.   UnRaid recognizes the NIC, but recognizes as a 1.0 GBE NIC (1,000 mb/sec).

    How can I install the drivers to make the NIC function on the UnRaid OS level?  In Win10, the NIC functions well after driver install, but I would like the NIC to function at 10 GBE on UnRaid...

    Is this possible?

  3. ## am a noob, and would like to passthrough the GPU to VMs including: Linux, Hackintosh (Catalina) and Win10.

    Wondering if and when UnRaid will help support EASY passthrough of Nvidia 3000 series GPUs...

    Am currently using a RTX 580 and would like to upgrade whenever I can get a hold of a 3000 Series.

    I am particularly concerned about the new GPU breaking my VMs (requiring reinstalls) when upgrading to the 3000 Series GPU.

    Are there specific things I need to wait for (VBIOS via TechPowerUp.com or UnRaid Win10-RedHat drivers, OSX Drivers), before I can pass through a new GPU through UnRaid?

    Will this GPU even work with OSX?

    Is there documentation/forum posts/videos/recent Space Invader One videos on to how to modify the XML/vbios/etc when installing a new GPU?

  4. Does the v6.9-beta25 include drivers for Realtek RTL8125 (no "B") correct?

    I know this is a stupid question, but I have some serious issues with NIC installation with Unraid and want to be 100% sure this time...

    Am about to pull the trigger for this NIC (built with the RTL8125 chipset):

    Ok,  found an issue with  /etc/libvirt/qemu/LinuxMint-XFCE.xml

    There were duplicate entries for <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'>

        <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'>
          <source>
            <vendor id='0x1c4f'/>
            <product id='0x0048'/>
          </source>
          <address type='usb' bus='0' port='3'/>
        </hostdev>

        <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'>
          <source>
            <vendor id='0x0b05'/>
            <product id='0x17cf'/>
          </source>
          <address type='usb' bus='0' port='1'/>
        </hostdev>

    After removed the offending entry for 1c4f:0048 it boots up,  but as yet wont see any usb drives plugged in.

    The remaining questions are ..
    How did this entry become incorrect, get inserted etc.?

    Will this be an ongoing issue.?

    this worked for me.  thanks for the post - saved me many hours of trying to figure it out/reinstalling my VM.
