  1. Can Someone explain howto reformat external usb disb drive with UD ? Already installed UD+, precleared disk and signature is valid and destuctive mode is enabled... cant find anything with reformat the disc or creating fs (even with stopped array) Can someone explain me also why a seperate plugin (UD+) is needed for formatting disks and I have to enable destructive mode ? Do I need UD for mounting external disks to unraid ? I am sure formatting / mounting the disk with terminal tools will be faster than looking howto reformat disks with UD :D
  2. Yep fixed it! Both @bonienl @MAM59 was right, but the KEY! was to reboot... deleting network.cfg without rebooting -> fix nothing ! Thanks for your help !
  3. Hm ok, shall I repost this topic to bug reports or not ? Not pretty sure for now if this is a real bug or someone can reproduce ?
  4. I only have eth0 on my unraid, but good to know - make sense Yep I know coz DHCP gives you DNS entrys anyway. But I fully agree your post but on my Server (Unraid 6.12.3) I cant change to static DNS on static IP (like I said in first post). Watch Screenshots: This is my current IPv4 config... (DNS server is fixed to automatic) When I change IPv4 Address config to automatic: I can change DNS Servers... But If I switch back IPv4 Address config to static: DNS Address config is fixed to static (like you said) - BUT If I setup my DNS Server here and save it... The Settings will fall back like in Screenshot 1 and "/etc/resolv.conf" is empty also... For now: I am using my current IPv4 Settings (Screenshot 1) with a startup script (using go file on flash device) - which replace complete resolv.conf with my correct DNS Servers and domains after complete startup.
  5. Hi Guys I just want to know why I cant setup a static DNS Adress when IP is configured to static on unraid Webinterface ? Same goes with IPv6... I can only change it to static DNS if Address configuration is automatic / DHCP ? I thought DNS configuration is seperated from IP configuration, so it doesnt matter if IP is set to DHCP or static to change DNS settings ? have a nice day!
  6. Hey Guys, first of all thanks for your great Software I tried 3-4 times to transfer my data to a new installed unraid server - using rsync. Everytime with the same issue. Also it doesnt matter with rsync options variation I am using. During rsync transfer (external usb Device with UD plugin to my parity drive) rsync is crashing - after an hour i think (varied). Web-Terminal freezed also... Then after 10 minutes Unraid also freezing without coming back. After a Hard Reset: Unraid starting a parity check and no (automatic) diagnostic file was created on the flash drive So, I created a diagnostic file later (by myself) and post the old syslog part with the kernel Bug (with trace) before unraid was frozen. Kernel Bug: Pastebin.com Have a nice day ! MisterT saschanas-diagnostics-20211025-1652.zip
