Hi all, can anyone recommend a good/fast way to copy/sync data from one server to another? I have roughly 100tb that I need to backup and SMB is taking too long. All the data is pictures, so of course it is going to be slower than large files. But I’m hoping to find something that is faster than SMB. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I do know about rsync and rclone, but have never used them. Thanks

I tried following your old video, but some things have changed it seems and every guide I find and try to follow, it seems like I always get an error. Was just curious if you had a new updated video or plan on making one? Thanks for all of your videos as well! You are a true rockstar!!! I always recommend your videos to my friends for anything regarding Unraid, and I have watched a lot of them to find out how to do certain things! Thanks again for all you do!!

I did try to post in the Docker Container group, but couldn't. I read the "why can't I post in docker container" and send a message to Jonp to request moving it to the Docker Containers group.

Hi all, I just got Filerun setup in Unraid and am trying to figure out where to change the file upload limit size. Does anyone know where to change it? I looked for the php.ini file but don't see it. I am using this to back up data, and some of the files are upwards of 25gb. I found the correct location once before, but its been a while and can't remember where it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Thanks, Is there a good guide on backing up the app data? I have the backup/restore app data plugin installed, but setting the directories is a little confusing.

I backed up my Unraid server on 7/20, the file name is tower-flash-backup-20210720-1638.zip. If I restore this file, will it restore my dockers/appdata on my cache drive? Something happened with my other cache drive and had to replace it. I have it as an unassigned device right now, but can't mount it for some reason. I don't want to have to reset up all of my apps again. Thoughts?

i took a backup of my unraid server back on 7/20 and i installed a new drive and am trying to get my dockers/appdata back, if i do a restore, will it restore the apps/dockers back without me having to reconfigure everything?

So I rebooted out of Safe Mode back into normal mode and the cache drive is unmountable it says. But it shows the drive is healthy.

Thanks. I booted into Safe Mode while I was waiting on your reply and I was able to run the diagnostics. Here it is. Earlier, I took the cache drive out and put it in my windows machine, but couldn't see any files, which it isn't formatted for windows, so I knew I probably wouldn't be able to see anything, but figured I would try. I was going to try and delete come stuff off the cache drive and free up some space. Right now, there is zero bytes free on it. tower-diagnostics-20210731-1536.zip

Ok, is maintenance mode the same as safe mode? I try to reboot from the GUI and it doesn't reboot. It just hangs. So I have to do a hard reboot.

It isn't saving the diagnostics for some reason. No clue what to do now..

I reseated the connections and booted back up. I’m in the terminal window and typed diagnostics and it’s starting collection but has been sitting there for about 15 mins or so. Should I close the window?

Ok, I’ll give that a try. I did reseat the connections last night and moved the usb to other port. But I’ll try it again and see what happens. Will report back shortly. Thanks!

Here are the logs from yesterday. I tried the diagnostics command from the terminal and it gave me this error: "Starting diagnostics collection.... mkdir: cannot create directory '/boot/logs' : Input/output error. Luckily it did have the logs from yesterday, which is when this happened. tower-diagnostics-20210730-2131.zip

I was downloading the diagnostics (well running it) and now the GUI isn't loading at all. What should I try to do? I don't want to mess it up any more than I already have

I'll post the diagnostics here shortly, as soon as it lets me get to it. When the GUI is working, it is really slow, and keeps going from responsive to unresponsive. Give me a few mins and I'll post it. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m having a problem with my unraid server. I added another cache drive last night after finally getting my other one to show back up and booted the server up and it was stuck starting the array for a while. I shut it down and removed the second cache drive and booted back up, now the GUI won’t load. I can ping the IP but even on the console, the GUI doesn’t load. Any ideas on how to fix this? EDIT: the gui finally loaded, but is starting the array, its been sitting there for a bit. I do see the cache drive is completely full. Do I need to clear it out?

Hi everyone, I am new to Unraid, a friend of mine is running it and said I should try it. I have a pre-existing ESXi server that I am running and want to load Unraid on a vm. I've been looking through the topics and instructions, but having a hard time finding an updated set of instructions. Some of the options for USB controller, etc, are not in ESXi 6.7u2 and 7. Has anyone successfully done this? If so, are there any instructions for it anywhere? That are step by step. Some of these kind of jump around and they are a little confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
