is there a way to easily upgrade Big Sur to Monterey if you followed the previous Big Sur installation guide? If anyone has done this before, would love to have exact steps you followed before i do something stupid to break my installation

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Sonarr
hey guys - i randomly just got the error "database disk image is malformed database disk image is malformed". I restored from backup just now via built-in backup function but while googling the error, i'm worried that my current backup (5 days old) is going to encounter this issue down the line. Some people who had same issue seemed to mention this was an issue with Unraid 6.7.0 + SQLite DBs not playing nicely. I'm on 6.9.2. Should I be worried with my Radarr/Sonarr/Lidarr/Prowlarr instances for DB corruption over time? Is there any best practices to avoid future corruption?

[Support] binhex - rTorrentVPN
I'm having trouble with something relatively simple that I'd like to incorporate into rtorrent/RuTorrent. I'm running Binhex's rutorrent container on Unraid Docker, and I want the ability to have a change in label / category of the torrent move all the associate files into the related subfolder within my broader Downloads share. I want this to work whether the file is actively seeding, downloading, finished etc. I know qBt does this so I would think rTorrent through a script can accomplish the same task. I'm relatively new to scripting on rutorrent / docker / unraid so any beginner tips to figure this out would be very much appreciated

[Plugin] rclone
hello - does anyone know how to properly setup local share mounts that can be used within the built-in rclone web UI? I installed the waseh plugin, inserted my config for g-drive mounts (which it correctly sees) but i wasn't sure how i can begin both uploading / downloading files from my rclone g-drive mounts <-> local shares. See screenshot below - when you type "/" it automatically gives a button to open local path, but any combination of /mnt/user/[share] or even /mnt/ doesn't show any folders. I assume I have to give some sort of access but where do i do that? for reference: i have this script running to access the web UI at http://[LOCALHOST]:5572/#/remoteExplorer rclone rcd --rc-web-gui --rc-user=admin --rc-pass=admin --rc-serve --rc-addr :5572

I did this and it worked for me. Not sure why it’s not working for you

Is there a way to change resolution? I can’t seem to figure out as it’s stuck on 2560x1600 for me. I’m not using an external GPU either.

If i don't have an external GPU, just onboard intel graphics (which are being used for Plex transcoding so i don't want to pass it through to my VMs), is there a way to get sound working on the mac VM? On Windows VM, I installed VB Cable to get audio working. Is there something similar for macOS? Separately, i followed the instructions here to get iCloud working: 1) Download hackintool (https://github.com/headkaze/Hackintool/releases). 2) open it (using same steps as you first used to open OpenCore Configurator) and go to System -> Peripherals 3) Network interfaces should have a en0 but the built in is unchecked 4) open opencore -> mount EFI -> open config.plist 5) go to DeviceProperties and select ethernet controller from list of PCI Devices at bottom (if it's not listed already) 6) click the + on the far bottom right of the right box to add a property to the ethernet controller. 7) For "key" use: built-in 8) For "type" use: Data 9) For "value" use: 01 10) save and reboot 11) log in to apple services! 12) The hackintool technically isn't needed but it provides an easy graphical way to see if that "built-in" check box is checked.

hello - is there anyway to have the VM automatically sleep or hibernate when not being used?
-
This is an easy way to sleep and wake Windows VM's from sleep:
How do you enable a Windows VM to go to sleep if it's not being used? I don't want my Windows VM hammering my CPU / HDDs if not being used and i forgot to manually shut down the VM. Is there a way to do this?

Just wanted to quickly update that this fixed my issue with the install. Using 2.19.1 is critical. this should be pinned to front of guide . A few follow-ups: 1. how do i make the VM automatically start the mac partition when booted? found instructions on reddit: Open OpenCore Configurator -> mount the EFI -> open the config.plist -> "Misc" -> disable picker and otherwise make it look like the below 2. how do i rename the VM itself from "Macinbox Big Sur" to say just "macOS"? actually it was quite easy lol...just rename then run the script again with the new name 3. How do i get audio working on the basic mac install (i.e. no GPU being passed through)? For my windows 11 VM, i had to download a driver called VB Cable that allowed me to get audio. is something similar available for mac VMs? 4. can i delete the macinabox container once done or do i still need it? 5. is it safe to update macOS from within the VM once you've successfully installed?

I see. Is there any place to tell that bootloader version isn't compatible with the configurator version? I used 2.50 which seems clearly wrong in hindsight given I otherwise followed all of SIO's instructions to the T = didn't add a GPU but it locked up when I tried just editing the Vm to (1) more ram, (2) use 3 cores + 6 threads and (3) removing the two non-relevant vdisks). I did execute the script to fix the XML so it points to opencore 2.50 being the issue. I just spent the time to reinstall Big Sur so hopefully doesn't mess up again this time.

Just spent last hour and half setting this up but i guess i used the wrong version of opencore configurator causing the above style error I am now trying to fully reinstall from scratch again. Which version of opencore do i need to use to set this up properly? What are issues can cause the above screen? I had tried 4 cores / 8 threads, 3 cores / 6 threads and using yes and no on the topology (I thought it was that error at first but going back a few pages, people said it may actually be an opencore software issue) How can i rename the VM to just “macOS” instead of “Macinabox Big Sur” once I’ve properly installed?

Keep getting locked out
I keep having this issue. I just tried the uncookie link and was able to re-login. I am not doing anything unique - just browsing to unraid forums from either my ipad or iphone and using 1password to fill in my login information…and getting locked out. Any idea what’s going on?

ah i see. sorry i totally missed that post. do you know the name of the default user if i want to use the command to change the password via that command; is it "root"? or do you recommend setting up a completely separate user and leaving the default as is? docker exec -it rtorrent /home/nobody/createuser.sh <username to create> <password for the user> docker exec -it rtorrent /home/nobody/deluser.sh <username to delete>

is there any downside to setting this up as a variable? I asked this question in the LinuxServer discord channel and i got a stern, resounding "wtf are you doing, that's a very stupid thing to do" response, as if i was committing arson. I'm not sure what the downside of setting these permissions are, does it mess with the Linux file system or something else I can't think of?

Write permission denied for SMB share
hi all- I have linuxserver qbittorrent docker downloading files to my Downloads user share (which has SMB read/write access setup correctly to my Windows VM). When I try to edit said downloaded files in that Share in Windows SMB, it gives me the error "You require permission from Unix User\nobody to make changes to this file". Is this maybe related to the qBt docker not giving proper permissions for full read/write to files being created through it? If so, is there something I need to do to the docker container template / actual config files to enable this? I need it specifically for some post-processing that a Windows program does to downloaded files, which I can't do otherwise through Krusader etc. (normally, I use Krusader to otherwise move/copy files instead of SMB). The only thing I was able to find online so far is someone on this forum recommending to set extra parameters of the qBt container to "-e UMASK_SET=000". Does this sound right / is it safe? I ask because I'm seeding tons of files and don't want to mess up anything by hastily setting a parameter that I'm not 100% familiar with.
