The bad news is thats seems like 5700XT passthrough at least for kvm is not working.. Can tell that from My experience, working perfect in 10.15.6, not working in 10.15.7, would be interesting of someone could confirm My case EDIT: Ok, reading around found out that if you add the boot arg agdpmod=pikera fixes this issue , I am using opencore so dont know if clover has the same problem or if this works for it too

@Leoyzen hello man, first thanks for the kvm opencore, second, my Catalina VM was working great with passthrough Radeon 5700XT up until 10.15.6.. then 3 days ago 10.15.7 came out, unlucky I didnt backup and updated just to find that the 5700XT won't boot anymore, it works perfectly with VNC but no more 5700XT and I cant go back to 10.15.6. Anyways I saw in tonnymac Hackitosh that people there with clover and 5700XTS are working just fine with the upgrade and nothing extra done.. I did a clean install and nothing, got the whatevergreen 1.4.2 tho and the latest lilu, rest are the same kexts you have in the EFI folder, would love some guide on what to do bacause anyways this patch was almost all about apple fixing everything wrong with the 5700XT so it is the version to go for 5700XT owners. Install with everything as the video says, then in the xml you change the auto created disk for the path to your unmounted ssd, thats it.

Hello, thanks @SpaceInvaderOne for the container. After few days and reading every post about problems with the 5700XT, I see some of you managed to do it.. I haven no matter what, I have 3 VMS on my UNRAID, Windows 10, Ubuntu 20.04 and madOS Catalina clean installation from macinabox Windows and Ubuntu passthrough the 5700XT no problems at all but macOS just hangs on the the boot screen as I will show in the images, another thing to notice is that in software extensiond info it shows the 5700 as not loaded like you can see in the image too.. I have tried everything, Im connected via HDMI as some guy found that it wasnt working with the DP. also backed up and changed the EFI folder for the opencore from Liozen https://github.com/Leoyzen/KVM-Opencore and with that, everything loads but screwed up, very small and like repeated several times the same image across the top screen Tried every single xml from people that claims it is working for them and nothing.. Extracted my own .rom from the 5700XT (not downloaded from techpowerup ) UPDATE 09/21/2020: Bought a cheap -O- nvidia GT710 and passed it through to macOS catalina and worked OTB. my guess is that I need some kind of args to add to clover.. Would be nice of someone that has succeeded with the 5700XT would share his EFI folder... UPDATE 2 09/22/2020 I finally got the card passthrough as you can see in one of the images below it just loading 7mb video memory, UI is choppy and sound does not works... playing yt videos in kinda choppy too. I found out that my motherboard has 2 options for booting, one that refers to the boot device that could be legacy or UEFI only and another one that refers to every other device.. I am not able to install with the error in the picture and if I ever do, then in the next boot screen it says it could not load and resets EDIT 1 ok after 1000 tries it got to this screen and will show you the next.. I have got my vbios and I have a TRX40 AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) with a threadripper 3960x, have tried with the same EFI you mention and thats a no go.. have put several days into this and still nothing. yes windows 10 and linux both get the GPU passthrough perfectly full drivers installation a nd gaming tested on both

could you post your EFI folder or at least your config.plist? i have manage to change to opencore and and run perfectly from vnc but when passing through my 5700xt it start booting up good and at half bar it goes BSOD i got the agdpmod=pikera in the config.plist args.. but is the only one.. ok ill inject the lilu and get my own bios.. did donwload from techpowerup

hello, I am running unraid 6.8.3 and got the macinabox comunity container to deploy a catalina latest version vm The thing is that I cant seem to be able to passthroug the 5700xt, I got it working with windows and linux, but I think Im missing some configs in the config.plist because when ever I passthrough the card I get the small apple logo way up in the monitor and got stuck in the loading
