  1. Everything seems to back to normal after a clean power down and power up. I did check the flash drive from Windows and it went fine. thanks, ~joy
  2. Hi All, Is my Unraid dead? \\TOWER\flash is showing "folder is empty". When I putty in there, \boot is also empty. I am able to see my files and I can use the browser to login to http://tower. The log file doesn't help much, it's just repeating "Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14)" Is there anything that I need to do to restore Unraid? I have UnRaid Pro 4.7. I am currently backing up my photos and video just incase. Any help would appricated. thanks, ~joy Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:01 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:03 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:03 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:03 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140) Dec 28 04:40:03 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 14) Dec 28 04:40:03 Tower kernel: FAT: FAT read failed (blocknr 140)
  3. wow, one bug after another. The memory came back good but I hit the unRaid 4.5.3 all disks unformatted bug. Good thing I wasn't finger happy to click on the Format button to add the new disk. Anyway, I think I should upgrade to 4.7. Does anyone know if there's any major bug on 4.7 that I can read about? thanks, ~joy
  4. I found this old thread but doesn't seem like there's a solution. Is it safe to reboot? http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=6302.0
  5. Hi All, My unRaid 4.5.3 seems to stuck at Starting.... after adding a new disk. I'm only getting "Starting..." from the command area. Also, all the drives have "Mounting" status. Here's a copy of the Log. Should I just do a reboot or is there a better to restart it? BTW, anyone know what is this bug? 7. +1. I still don't get why so many people in love with Atom. I3 530 + H55 setup cost and power consumption are similar to Atom setup but I3 can do alot more then Atom.
  8. Trust me, I wish I don't have a Frys or Microcenter around. I spent a lot more then I should have.
  9. If you do plan to buy it, make sure you are buying the newer version of the motherboard. The new version has pciex4 and older version has pciex1. Also, I think Fry's deal ends today.
  10. Just in time to get my $17.00 credit back. I brought it on 4/20/10 for $125.00.
  11. Hi All, I just upgraded my motherboard to MSI 785GM-E51 but log is showing a lot of ACPI Errors. Does anyone know if those errors are harmful or harmless? Full log attached. thanks, ~joy syslog.txt
  12. I don't know if I got a fast cpu or I missed something. It compiled within 3 minutes. I am able to watch the bluray .m2ts files with live conversion now. Thank you all for putting this together. :-) One happy camper here. ;-) ~joy
  13. j.metts, Thank you for posting the steps for unMenu. I will try that tonight. I used to think I am wasting my Quad 9550 on unRaid but looking at the cpu usage on AirVideo and PS3MediaServer, I am glad I have a quad in there. thanks, ~joy
  14. Yes, I have unMenu installed but I don't see AirVideo in there with the latest update as of last night. Maybe I over look it. I will check it again tonight. thanks, ~joy
  15. Hi all, This may sound stupid but I will ask anyway. How do you install the .conf file? I've downloaded and unzipped it. Do I treat the .conf file as a script like typing ./airvideo.conf and let it run? Sorry, Linux noob here. thanks, ~joy
  16. prostuff1, Thank you for doing this. Also, this should be a hobby not work so please don't kill yourself for it. ;-) thanks, ~joy
  17. Try starting the airvideo server (bash air-video-server.sh test.properties) from the consol so you can see the error messages. Assume there must be a way of capuring what's happening some other way but not sure how. I think I reallllllllly missed the 'libmp3lame'. Here's the error from log. Hopefully, prostuff1's package will resolve my issue once he is done with it. No pressure, prostuff1. :-) DEBUG: LiveConversion: Getting segment 0 /boot/airvideo/ffmpeg/ffmpeg --conversion-id 492d1f61-c461-4f37-8a0b-bd2401a6b04c --port-number 46631 -threads 4 -flags2 +fast -flag s +loop -g 250 -keyint_min 25 -bf 0 -b_strategy 0 -cmp +chroma -deblockalpha 0 -deblockbeta 0 -refs 1 -coder 0 -me_range 16 -subq 5 -partitions +parti4x4+parti8x8+partp8x8 -trellis 0 -sc_threshold 40 -i_qfactor 0.71 -qcomp 0.6 -map 0.0:0.0 -map 0.1:0.1 -ss 0.0 -i "/mnt/disk1/MyMovies/Action/2012/2012 (2010).M2TS" -cropleft 0 -cropright 0 -croptop 0 -cropbottom 0 -s 568x320 -aspect 1.775 -y -f mpegts -vcodec libx264 -bufsize 128k -b 1200k -bt 1300k -qmax 48 -qmin 2 -r 23.976 -acodec libmp3lame -ab 192k -ar 48000 -ac 2 - DEBUG: LiveConversion: >> 347974746F347A72696D727F7E74347D7D766B7E7C347D7D766B7E7C3B36367874756D7E696872747536727F3B2F22297F2A7D2D2A36782F2D2A362F 7D282C36237A2B7936797F292F2B2A7A2D792B2F783B36366B74696F36756E76797E693B2F2D2D282A3B366F73697E7A7F683B2F3B367D777A7C6829 3B307D7A686F3B367D777A7C683B307774746B3B367C3B292E2B3B36707E6272756F447672753B292E3B36797D3B2B3B367944686F697A6F7E7C623B 2B3B3678766B3B3078736974767A3B367F7E79777478707A776B737A3B2B3B367F7E7977747870797E6F7A3B2B3B36697E7D683B2A3B3678747F7E69 3B2B3B36767E44697A757C7E3B2A2D3B36686E796A3B2E3B366B7A696F726F727475683B306B7A696F722F632F306B7A696F72236323306B7A696F6B 2363233B366F697E777772683B2B3B366878446F73697E687374777F3B2F2B3B3672446A7D7A786F74693B2B352C2A3B366A7874766B3B2B352D3B36 767A6B3B2B352B212B352B3B36767A6B3B2B352A212B352A3B3668683B2B352B3B36723B393476756F347F7268702A34566256746D727E68345A786F 72747534292B2A2934292B2A293B33292B2A2B323556294F48393B367869746B777E7D6F3B2B3B367869746B69727C736F3B2B3B367869746B6F746B 3B2B3B367869746B79746F6F74763B2B3B36683B2E2D236328292B3B367A686B7E786F3B2A352C2C2E3B36623B367D3B766B7E7C6F683B366D78747F 7E783B77727963292D2F3B36796E7D6872617E3B2A2923703B36793B2A292B2B703B36796F3B2A282B2B703B366A767A633B2F233B366A7672753B29 3B36693B292835222C2D3B367A78747F7E783B777279766B28777A767E3B367A793B2A2229703B367A693B2F232B2B2B3B367A783B293B36 << DEBUG: Encoder: FFmpeg version UNKNOWN, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 Fabrice Bellard, et al. 18. Thank you, Joe. Press "1" did the job. I also installed htop and it's pretty cool. The htop refresh the status bars every second while top refresh like every 3 seconds. thanks, ~joy
  19. Hi, I have a Quad 9550 in my UnRaid but I could only see 1 cpu stat from the top command. Is there another linux command like top to show all 4 cores cpu stats? thanks, ~joy
  20. I was using 4.4.2 and updated to 4.5.3 a couple weeks ago. I didn't know 4.5.3 use 4 cores. Wow. that's good to know. I will try to run AirVideo conversion again and see how much improvement from 4.4.2 to 4.5.3. thanks, ~joy
  21. Does anyone know if AirVideo converter is using all 4 CPU cores or limited to 2 cores due to UnRaid is only supporting 2 cores? thanks, ~joy
  22. Queeg, I just want to say thank you. I finally got it working. :-) Keep up the good work. thanks, ~joy
  23. Yes, you probably need a couple of the SAS->SATA cables. Sorry, I forgot the model #. Maybe other will remember.

  25. I got no idea but I am doing a preclear on that disk right now. thanks, ~joy
