After some researching, I've decided to go with a physical method for turning on the server. I bought a SwitchBot remote switch with the SwitchBot hub (for around $65 usd) so I can activate the switch via the cloud using IFTTT or Shortcuts. Works like a charm! Video below Switchbot.mp4

Hello, thanks for reading my post. I appreciate your help. Main point: I need to set up Wake On Lan (from shutdown) for my Unraid server. I will be traveling for a few months in Europe, and I need access to my Unraid server. It would be nice if power outages weren't a thing where I live, but unfortunately, they are. They happen about once a week during the summer due to heat waves. I have the pre-requisite hardware that supports WOL, most importantly the NIC. Additionally, I can VPN into my home network to send the WOL signal. I have tried multiple guides out there, including: https://engineerworkshop.com/blog/remote-start-for-servers-how-to-set-up-wake-on-lan/ & I have successfully woken up my server from sleep using the above guide "***Guide*** Setup WOL for UNRAID" but again, this is only WOL from sleep. I need to WOL from complete shutdown. Has anyone successfully implemented WOL from shutdown on their Unraid server? Do you know of a guide that can help with this process? Thank you!

Hello, thanks for reading into my issue. I've had this UnRaid server for about 2 years now, never had a single issue. Recently, I've been seeing my server's Docker memory allocation creeping up slowly. Today, it hit 100%, and now none of my docker containers will start up. I've attached my server's diagnostic logs. Hello thanks for reading into my issue. I have FTP enabled for a short period of time to run a couple of tests. When I enable FTP, UnRaid asks for a username, and that's all, it doesn't ask for a password? When I FTP through via VM terminal, I am able to provide the right username, but I do not know what the password is. What is the password? Is it the UnRaid user's password? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all thanks for reading into my issue. For a bit of background, I had a usb HDD plugged into my server to use for one of my windows VMs. I used the HDD and everything worked fine. Now that I have unplugged the HDD from the server, the VM will no longer start and I get the error in the attached screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I am trying to move away from openvpn on Unraid because it is deprecated and seldom works nowadays. I am trying to install the WireGuard plugin by Dynamix but I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone have any insight into where I can locate this plugin??? Thank you

Hello Thanks for reading into my issue. I have created VMs before, I have a few windows VMs, a MAC OS Catalina VM and a DietPi VM and they all work fine. I have previously had an Ubuntu VM and it ran perfectly, not sure what the case is at the moment. I have tried a myriad of settings options, but none seem to get the VM off the ground. The VM starts fine but when I try to VNC Remote into the VM, I get an error and am not able to. I have attached the VM template that I'm using and the Log file for the the VM. Would appreciated your help, Thanks!

I am using ARQ 7 with S3 Glacier now and it has been super smooth. Setup is super smooth and works very well.

I use Backblaze for my PC backup. I have looked into their B2 service and it would be around $10 a month. So far AWS Glacier is the best bang for the buck.

This looks like a sweet service! $1 per month per 1 TB...that's not bad at all!

Lately (idk why) I have been thinking about all the TBs of important documents/videos/pictures & critical backup information that is stored on my Unraid server, and how I would feel if all my data went up in smoke in some sort of freak accident like a fire or something (heaven forbid!). I started looking around for offsite (cloud) services that I can basically copy my Unraid server to. However, they are all VERY expensive and more than often marketed as business solutions, and, a lot of the time there is a minimum user sign up of something like three users. I don't have deep enough pockets for any of that stuff. If you know of a service or solution for safe offsite backups that are reasonably priced, please let me know. I am curious as to what the community does to offload TBs of data offsite. Cheers!

The way I have my server setup is with only a root user (me). My unraid server is visible on the home network and can be accessed by the family. Their PC's don't require a login to access the server. I just tried creating a user with credentials and access to the share, however, when accessed Windows and it's credential manager always seems to ruin things. There is only one username and password for the new user I just created on Unraid, but windows wont accept the credentials and denies me access. Not sure what's going on.

Hello, I would like to know what the best of going about creating a password protected share for sensitive information? At the moment, anyone on my home network can access any share. I would like to create one that requires credentials. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hello, thanks for reading into my issue. I have some lingering files sitting in my cache eating up space and I would like to delete them. I have been trying to locate the directory /mnt/cache/ but my trials have been unsuccessful. The cache directories seem to be hidden. Can someone please point me in the right direction of finding the /mnt/cache/ directory so I can delete some files? Thanks!

Thanks ich777 I have reset passwd via console however still no luck. I deleted mariadb and photoprism and setup from scratch again with the passwd reset and im still not able to login. this is the photoprism log, not certain what these errors are. This is a result of a fresh install of both mariadb and photoprism.

Hello, Setup went fine with Photoprism, when I open up the web UI, photoprism loads. However, I cannot get past the login screen! Login defauts to admin. I am inputing the same password as I did duirng the setup but I keep getting an "invalid credentials" error. Can anyone help me out?
