  1. WIll do, thanks. I assume you mean after doing the quick push of the power button to trigger a safe shutdown?
  2. Thanks @Frank1940 I've just given this a go and am unable to type anything at the command prompt. The cursor is frozen and the text being displayed I have attached in a pic to this repy. Should I just go with the quick push of the power button, or do you recommend trying something else first? Possibly also worth adding that I have had a numner of issues with the array recently that are covered here https://forums.unraid.net/topic/138789-parity-swap-second-data-drive-has-disabled-after-starting-data-rebuild/#comment-1259752 There also seems to be a container that for some time has been filling up my docker image but don't expect that's related. And finally I have noticed that a recently installed container is not working - Minecraft Bedrock. All others continue to work as does the array, despite the attached error message. Thanks again!
  3. As per the title, I am randomly unable to access the GUI and attempts to establish an SSH connection seem to be hanging. How can I safely reboot the server so I can log in using GUI mode? Or is there something else I should try first?
  4. Hi there, I'm getting a 502 Bad Gateway message, with NGINX beow that, when I try to access to UnRaid GUI. All my containers appear to be fine and I can access them as normal, as is access to my SMB shares over the local network. Have never had this happen before - any advice?
  5. Hi all, I've read lots of other threads that cover this issue, and the best approach to identify the problem always seem ambiguous or different. I run Nextcloud, Plex, related arr's and thats about it. Started with a 20GB image, increased it to 30GB when it first filled up, and here I am again. I've checked the mappings of all my containers and can't see any obvious errors. My Plex transcodes to RAM. Can anyone advise on the best process of elimination for solving this problem? themagiceye-diagnostics-20230510-2128.zip
  6. Yeah I did give this a go too. This is the response I get in the WebUI
  7. Thanks! One question has come up - it seems the syntax in the container webui isn't the same as the Java version. For example typing "help" in Java will display a list of possible commands. With bedrock I get I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but am a complete minecraft noob.
  8. Just a quick note for anyone who comes here looking for similar. It appears both Bedrock ports need to forwarded on your router. I have also setup just the one SRV record on Cloudflare for the port minecraft uses at the Add Server step. It's possible this might not be necessary, but haven't checked that. Enjoy.
  9. Hi all, Have just checked out SpaceInvaderOne's video on setting up a Java Server, and wondering how different the process is for setting up Bedrock instead? I would be hosting this for a youth mental health facility so it's important that the young people can access the server on different devices. I noticed the Bedrock version has two Ports compared to Java's one. Do I need to forward both of these ports, and create two SRV records in Cloudflare the same way SpaceInvader does for one with Java? Are there any additional steps to also be aware of? Thanks in advance for any help
  10. Alrighty, so passed the memtest without any errors, ran the xfs repair again without the -n. It found some issues (see screenshot), but appears to have fixed them as when I ran it again with the -n there were no issues this time around. Fired up the array out of maintenance mode, and Disk 3 is back! Thank you so much! One last question - given that the SMART data for disk 2 seems fine, if the best plan just to rebuild the drive on top of itself? themagiceye-smart-20230507-2336.zip
  11. Apolgies @JorgeB for the noob question, but I've started the memtest. Has been running about 10 mins and all that's happened is below the Boot Options menu is a single line of text that says "Loading /memtest... ok". Should something else have happened/progressed, or is this normal behaviour? Also curious how long I should run the test for - anywhere from a few hours to multiple days seems to be recommended in various forum posts. Thanks again
  12. Extended SMART test has completed without error. Have attached the results as well as latest Diagnostics. @JorgeB will run a memtest next and see how that goes. I do have an issue with memory filling up doe to poor config somewhere in one of my containers - but I assume that's not going to contribute to this? Besides Docker has been disabled since this all started last week. themagiceye-smart-20230507-1811.zip themagiceye-diagnostics-20230507-1838.zip
  13. Yep the diagnostics were taken immediately after the second test. I have no idea how/why there was a cancellation of a correcting parity check. So many strange things keep happening
  14. Things seem very off. First -nv check ran for about a second and reported no issues. Ran it again and had literally thousands of lines as the test ran, then provided the following results, again with no suggested repairs. Very unsure what to do from here - format disk 3 and rebuild it again? themagiceye-diagnostics-20230507-0010.zip
  15. Sheesh have also just noticed the 10TB data drive that just finished rebuilding is reporting as Unmountable: Wrong or no file system. Can be seen in the screenshot of previous post. Not sure what this is about as the rebuild appeared successful.
  16. OK so have now replaced all my sata cables including for disk 2. Powering on see's a message suggesting the array has turned good and now has no disks with read errors. Do I now just stop the array and add disk 2 back into the array? Diagnostics also attached - thanks again themagiceye-diagnostics-20230506-1459.zip
  17. Hi all, I'm in the middle of completing the parity swap procedure - new 12TB drive replacing existing 10TB parity drive which will then replace an old 3TB data drive that had disabled itself. The copy of parity to the 12TB drive has completed successfully and I have just commenced the final step of starting up the array for the data rebuild onto what was the old 10TB parity drive. About 15 mins into this step another data drive, (not involved in the swap procedure at all) has gone and disabled itself. I would appreciate advice on what is my best/safest course of action now? Have attached a screenshot and diagnostics for reference. Thanks! themagiceye-diagnostics-20230505-1034.zip
  18. Thanks - Is it ok to power down the server to do that while a preclear is running on a new disk? And also, by "try again" do you mean rebuild the drive onto itself or something else?
  19. Hi there, Had a data drive disable itself the other day. It's an old 3TB drive so was happy to replace it. Am currently in the process of a preclear of the new replacement drive, which is larger than my current parity drives so will be doing the 3 way parity swap procedure. Today another data drive has disabled itself, so I'm getting a bit concerned. Also an older drive, but SMART data looks OK. I would like to power down the server, re-seat my SATA cables, power back on and rebuild this second drive onto itself. Is this a good/bad idea? Will the preclear in process on the new drive need to re-started if I power down midway through? Diagnostics are attached - thanks for any assistance. themagiceye-diagnostics-20230430-1936.zip themagiceye-smart-20230430-1939.zip
  20. Thanks, really appreciate the detailed response. I guess the conundrum is that although I have no reason not to trust my router UPnP implementation (UPnP is currently disabled on my Synology RT2600ac), I also have no real way of knowing if it can/should be trusted. I'd imagine that might be similar situation for others too.
  21. Curious about peoples thoughts as to the best practice setup of Unraid Connect for remote access? Dynamic - UPnP Dynamic - Manual Port Forward Always On - UPnP Always On - Manual Port Forward From memory UPnP has/had some security issues on home routers, but I am far from an expert in the field so would prefer to defer to those in the know. Thanks
  22. No probs, thanks again. themagiceye-diagnostics-20230427-0744.zip
  23. Thanks! I've also noticed that the disabled drive is now also listed as an Unassigned Device (still disabled). Is this normal, and is it worth trying to mount it that way?
  24. Hi there, As per the title I have an old 3TB drive in my array that appears to have kicked the bucket. UnRaid has disabled the drive and I am unable to access any SMART data/reports when I click into the drive settings. No bother as I am happy to replace it. Currently here in Australia I can get a 12TB external drive for shucking at the best $ per TB, but both of my parity drives are only 10TB. This is the first time I have had a drive fail, so would like to make sure I go about this process correctly. My questions are: - Should I replace a 10TB Parity drive first with the new 12TB drive so that I can then replace the disabled 3TB drive with that former 10TB parity drive? - Would I need to pre-clear the 10TB drive that was previoulsy setup as a parity before adding it into the array? - Can I have 1x 12TB drive and 1x 10TB drive work side by side as my 2x Parity Drive setup? Or will I need to get 2x12TB drives to change over both current parity drives? (All array drives are 10TB or less) Thanks!
  25. It has been a while since I've added a new drive and it appears I've screwed something while doing so as a result. The steps I followed were: - Shutdown server and add new drive - Run preclear with two passes with the drive in the unassigned devices area - Stop array, add drive to array, start her up again. I think I was suppossed to add the drive to the array before running the preclear, unless I'm missing something. Either way, the screen shot is what I've ended up with. How can I resolve this?
