  1. Can do it right now - should I edit the GO file to remove the lines added previously?
  2. @ich777 I think this is a decent chunk of logs for a 1080p file I started up and then immediately transoded down to 720p 4Mbps. Admitedly I don't have a lot of experience analysing logs so let me know if you need something else/more.
  3. I have attached pics of the container settings and Plex Dashboard. The change in Plex is that transcoding is now being done in software, as the "hw" is no longer present on a stream. Prior to the install of the dGPU I have had binhex-plex running with QuickSync for months without any issues (so with the "hw" indicator present). This morning as a sanity check I unistalled the Nvidia driver and physically removed the dGPU, then did the Quicksync setup again as per the guide and it was all working pefectly in Plex once more. Then once the dGPU went back in and had the driver installed, Plex lost its "hw" transcoding again. The only other thing I can think to add is that I did run the unlock Nvidia GPU script once the drivers were installed - but not idea if that would contribute to the issue. Thanks again! Edit: Didn't know about Intel GPU TOP - thanks will do that now.
  4. Yep I've had a dummy HDMI plug installed in the iGPU both before and after adding the 1050ti. When I do a cd /dev/dri ls in the terminal I also get Card 0 and renderD128 which are for Quicksync. Also now present is Card 1 and renderD129 which I assume is the dGPU. Perhaps also worth noting that when initially setting up Quicksync months ago I did add the required lines to the GO file so that the setup would persist on reboots. Diagnostics are attached - I really appreciate your help.
  5. Hi all, Have recently added a GTX 1050Ti to my server for use with Tdarr for converting my X264 library to X265. This is working well which is great. For some reason though the addition of the GPU seems to be disabling QuickSync Hardware transcoding in my binhex-plex container. I haven't made any changes to the Plex container config in terms of adding an Nvidia GPU - this has only been done in Tdarr. Is anyone aware of a why this might be happening, and if so how to get both working at the same time in different containers? Many thanks.
  6. Hi all, My setup is fairly simple and I'm wondering if there is a straightforward backup solution that includes a GUI. Like many, my array is predominately TV and Film media. But it also includes shares with personal and professional documents, projects, pictures, etc. For the important shares I have a 4TB unassigned drive formatted for NTFS where I am manually maintaining backups so that if UnRaid craps out at the very least I can plug the backup straight into a Windows machine and carry on. I'd like to be able to automate this process, which in backup terms seems pretty straightforward. Unfortuantely I haven't had much luck finding a Plugin or Container with a GUI (I'm not much good in the terminal without clear instructions) that can manage this. Ideally the solution would "watch" the appropriate Shares and selectively update the full backup daily. But if need be I'm happy to settle for a weekly dump of all files in each Share. Any suggestions from the Pro's? Thanks in advance

  8. I didn't realise it was needed, but yeah it was already installed for something else. Any other ideas?
  9. Hi there, just trying to get the Auto Fan Control plugin up and running. For some reason the "Detect" button next to the "PWM fan" field is greyed out, and also for the same button next to "Minimum PWM value". The "PWM controller" drop down also has "None" the only option. Am I missing something simple here by chance? The mobo I am using is the ASRock B250M Pro4 with an i5-7600K. The board does have 4 pin PWM headers that are currently in use via a basic fan curve in the BIOS.
  10. Thanks, although I can't see anywhere in that thread a recommendation to disable hardlinks. Are you able to clarify this further?
  11. Like many recently commenting on this thread, I have watched Space Invaders setup video and figured I would give this a go with an old 1050Ti I have kicking around. Did some initial testing and it seems to work well. I have though come across some threads where Unraid users are reporting daily loss of their Shares since using Tdarr, that can only be temporarily rectified by daily server reboots. https://forums.unraid.net/topic/114921-692-stable-release-losing-access-to-all-shares-dockers-crash-webui-still-reponsive/?tab=comments#comment-1044770 https://forums.unraid.net/bug-reports/stable-releases/683-shfs-error-results-in-lost-mntuser-r939/?tab=comments Hard to get a feel for how many people this is affecting, but eithe way I'm now feeling pretty reluctant to fire Tdarr up and set it to work on the 40TB or so of media I have. Has anyone on this thread heard of this but not experienced it, or experienced it and found a fix? Very keen to get started but the paranoia is real!
  12. Just to clarify, are you suggesting you can't confirm this because its not behavior you've ever heard of within the community, or just on your machine?
  13. I understand where you are coming from, it's just that as you can see with my logs, there is nothing else going on other than a spin up for a SMART data read. So doesn't that suggest in my case the number 1 is what is happening? Either way I'd like to understand if this if common behavior that other users also observe. My concern is that constant spin ups for SMART data only puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the drives
  14. I've previously been told that when UnRaid does its periodic SMART data reads that this doesn't physically spin up the drives. I would really appreciate some clarification on this as it seems in my case that the drives do in fact spin up. You can see from the syslog pasted below and the attached screenshot of my array drive (taken at the same time), that the Colored Status Indicator is green. As per the tool tip this means the drives are active and spun up, or am I missing something here? I have also attached diagnostics taken at the same time on the off chance they are needed. Many thanks - Noob Sep 23 07:03:00 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdj Sep 23 07:07:21 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sde Sep 23 07:07:21 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdb Sep 23 07:07:21 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdc Sep 23 07:07:25 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdd Sep 23 07:07:37 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdl Sep 23 07:07:51 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdk Sep 23 07:17:54 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdg Sep 23 07:18:05 TheMagicEye emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdh Sep 23 07:18:49 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdj Sep 23 07:22:55 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdd Sep 23 07:22:55 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdl Sep 23 07:22:56 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdk Sep 23 07:29:12 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sde Sep 23 07:29:12 TheMagicEye emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdb themagiceye-diagnostics-20210923-0717.zip
  15. The help tip description for this setting states 'The minimum free space available to allow writing to any disk belonging to the share.' Does this include any cache drive that might be part (or the whole) of a share, or just array drives?
  16. Thanks for the reply. Can I ask how you are able to work this out? Would be great if I could fix this sort of thing myself in the future.
  17. Hi there, This error has popped up in my syslog and although I found an old thread covering it, there was no resolution contained within. So I thought I'd see if anyone else out there has had this recently, and if so, what they did to resolve the problem. Thanks in advance. 18. @ChatNoir you are a lifesaver thanks so much. I think I'll go with your option 1 and learn more about MC another day. I assume the two step mover will work for all of the system based shares - Appdata, System, Domains, isos? I'm a bit surprised that there are no instructions in the creating additional cache pools documentation on moving these critical shares safely. I guess they assume most folks have broad knowledge which is a shame if correct.
  19. Hi there, For too long I have had both my downloads folder and appdata etc all on the same single cache drive. I have now setup a second cache pool/drive and feel like I am stuck in a circular reference trying to work out how best to move the files from one drive to the other. - All relevant shares have been adjusted to Cache:Prefer with the new cache drive also selected. Mover did not move any of the data when invoked (something that seems to be a constant problem with Mover in many situations) - In order to use Krusader I would need to turn on Dockers which then creates new Appdata in the new cache drive while all the old data also remains where it was. This feels like bad practice destined to end in disaster. - Using CA backup restore requires me to change the Appdata Share path on the backup tab in order for the Restore tab to deposit the files on the new cache drive. But the new path won't save unless I click 'apply' on the backup tab - which will then initiate another backup of the new empty share on the new cache drive and overwrite the original share I want to restore. Please help me with this madness! I assume as a relative noob I a missing something obvious here, but I have been unable to find instructions either in the forum, via SpaceInvader, or elsewhere. Thanks!
  20. Apologies if this is not in the right place - it's not really specific to one container so didn't seem to fit elsewhere. I have tried a few methods to route traffic for a few of my containers (Radarr, Sonarr) through the Binhex DelugeVPN container. First attempt was by changing the network type in Radarr to None and then adding --net=container:binhex-delugevpn to the extra parameters field; then adding Radarr's port to the Deluge container settings, all as per SpaceInvader's video. I could see via the console that the IP address for Radarr had changed to that of Deluge, but am still unable to get the GUI to show its face. The second attempt was via Privoxy in the DelugeVPN container, again following SpaceInvaders video on this. Both Radarr and Sonarr lose connection with Deluge as soon as I add the Proxy into their respective settings. I am far from an expert on this, and only a few months into my UnRaid journey, so not quite sure what to try next. I have attached diagnostics themagiceye-diagnostics-20210331-2246.zip
  21. Hi there, in the last few weeks the WebUI for DelugeVPN has been displaying itself incorrectly on an intermittent basis. See the screen shot below, where it appears that the bottom of the GUI is now right up at the top with nothing below it. There is also no scrolling available so I can't just navigate upwards to solve the problem. I have been using Firefox for years, and have had no issues in the last 3 months since setting up UnRaid - until now. I do have UBlock Origin, DuckDuckGo privacy essentials and Privacy badger added as extensions, but these all have my Unraid Server IP whitelisted. I also use the LastPass extension (for now anyway, lol). Not sure what else it could be, as when I open up Chrome on the same PC there are no issues whatsoever. Super not keen to use Chrome though. Anyone have any thoughts?
  22. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Squid. As a first time server builder I have to say I'm really enjoying learning about how it all works with UnRaid. Great fun.
  23. Hi all, I've started having some weird Plex behaviour over the last 24 hours. Yesterday I started getting Error code: 4294967283 when trying to playback content locally on my Windows PC. A few of my users also reported no longer being able to access the server. This morning I rebooted the Unraid server, and am now getting no dice at all from Plex: Execution error / Server error is the message being thrown up when I try to start the container. The only change made to anything at all leading up to the issue was changing the number of disks in the array that some of the Shares related to Plex can use to store files. These were increased to all drives as I had inadvertently limited it to two drive previously. I have attached a log, any thoughts from the Guru's would be much appreciated. Don't mind reinstalling the docker at this point but figure it's worth checking to see if there is a fix first. Cheers themagiceye-diagnostics-20210305-1848 (Plex).zip
  24. As a new Unraider I'm absolutely loving all your containers Binhex. Thanks so much for all your hard work! One question regarding this Plex docker though - I set it all up and got into the GUI with no issues at all, started configuring the server, organising libraries and confirmed remote access was working. At some point out of curiosity I then clicked on a link within the settings that took me to a Plex webpage for paid services, and ever since I have been unable to access the GUI again. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I am using Firefox, have disabled browser extensions that might get in the way, and am still able to access GUI's for my other Dockers without issue.
  25. Great video, many thanks. Based on the content I take it there is no longer any need for these drives to be USB 2.0? I had read in a few places that this was preferred for compatibility and reliability, so was planning on using a USB 2.0 drive mounted to a little Type A adapter sitting atop the USB 2.0 header on my Mobo.
