  1. I see, thanks for the clarification. TapTap
  2. Hi guys, I installed Plex and I created a cache only share to store Plex's temp and library files but the cache disk is orange and says there are pending files waiting to be moved. What did I do wrong?
  3. Ok, I got it removed after I searched a little more. Here's what I did: From this forum post.
  4. I've purchased the two license Plus and I have unRAID installed in running on one of my USB drives. I need to submit the second flash GUID to obtain the second license key file. Short of installing the basic unRAID onto this second USB drive, is there a way of obtaining the GUID? If I do install the unRAID Basic on the second drive, can I boot my current unRAID hardware from it without screwing up my existing installation?
  5. I'm having trouble deleting an AFP share because, as has been previously noted, I can't delete hidden files. I've tried some commands that have been offered previously to others with the same issue but they did not work. The share is named TM. I turned off exporting of the share and have stopped the array and rebooted the server after each attempt but the share is still there. I've tried the following: "rm /mnt/disk1/tm/.*" rm /mnt/user/tm/* rm /mnt/disk1/tm/.*/ rm -rf /mnt/disk1/tm/ Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. I have a question about this. I dedicated an entire disk for time machine backups. I excluded this disk from shares. Is there anything else I should do? On a related note. While playing with shares, I created a share called time machine and got it working with time machine but it got borked somehow. There's an Apple .db file I can't delete and thus I'm not able to delete the share. Any help on how to delete this share? TapTap
  7. Thanks for the info. Are you running Mountain Lion and have you tried restoring from a Time Machine backup from unRAID?
  8. But I have a question: 1) What is the best way to implement Time Machine backups for a Mac? Should I have a separate hard drive dedicated solely for this purpose? This is the only Mac on my network and I have 4 Windows machines also. I'd like to back these up to the unRAID server as well. Would I need a dedicated drive for these machines too? Or just a share for backups?
