It’s been a long time since I last used Unraid, and I completely forgot some of the basics 🙈 Sorry for the dumb mistake — thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a strange issue with Unraid and hope someone here can help. Every time I reboot my Unraid server, the Docker page is completely empty — no containers are shown at all. However, the appdata share is still present and appears to still contain all container data. To get everything working again, I have to reinstall all Docker containers via Apps, which is quite tedious. What I’ve noticed so far: Docker tab is empty after reboot appdata share still exists Container data does not seem to be deleted Reinstalling the containers restores functionality Has anyone seen this behavior before or knows what might be causing it? Is there something specific I should check or repair so that the containers are properly restored after a reboot? Diagnostics are attached to this post. Hi guys, I was wondering if it’s possible to assign a separate MAC address to each Docker container, so that the UniFi Controller can assign IP addresses (via DHCP) directly to the containers. A few years ago this didn’t really work as expected. Now I’m considering coming back to Unraid, but this point is quite important for me — I don’t like not having full control over my network 😉 Thanks in advance! Regards, fiR3W4LL

Hi JoeJoe Try this: Click on the Plus at the end of the Line -> Permssions -> RW every where and try it again. After a successfull install, revert it to RW / RO / RO Regards

Can you retry? Maybe change for the installation the Permssion for the folder for every one to r/w. After the installation/update you can change it back to owner: r/w and the others to RO Regards

Hi JoeJoe Checket this right now, did you check the Permission for the installation Folder? ERROR! Failed to install app '530870' (Disk write failure) I changed the Settings under Shares and changed the permssion to for all read and Write, now its installing.... Can you check this? Regards

I have an issue with managing Docker. It seems it's not starting correctly. I'm encountering this error: "Error: failed reading provided config file: /etc/netbird/management.json: read /etc/netbird/management.json: is a directory." I haven't made any changes. Any ideas?

I'll check that myself. Not realy sure about that. Some of the Mods where not working for me to, wasnt a big deal for me, they where more esthetic I'll try to find this out. I did not have this Problem. Maybe you changed the Permission folder in the Appdata/SpaceEngineers? Regards

Hi @Landermark Did you try it without the GPU? i Just changed back to unraid and just setting the things up..... Next things are Space and Empi Server again. But the last time i did this, it was working without GPU. Why are you trying to get it work with the GPU? It does not need one Regards

I understand your concerns. Over the past few weeks, I've migrated all three of my systems from Proxmox back to UnRAID. Although I already had licenses, I had to replace the sticks. Then the relevant information came out. From my experience, Proxmox offers many possibilities, including backup. However, it requires a considerable amount of time. Therefore, I ultimately opted for the convenience of switching back to UnRAID. None of the systems are as straightforward to manage as UnRAID. While you could run MergeFS and Snapraid on OMV, which I've done and works well, you'd have another system to manage aside from Proxmox, and updating the LXCs and their respective containers takes a lot of time. Not to mention if the SMB connections don't work correctly or if errors occur over time. Additionally, not all systems have as clear a GUI as UnRAID. But for now, we're just speculating. We'll have to wait and see. Even for me, it's not easy to consider another change after a weekend of migrating from Proxmox to UnRAID. However, even if the price for a lifetime license is overly high, I'll still consider purchasing it. It shouldn't be too long now; I'm also eagerly awaiting the relevant information.

Are there any? DonT think so. No NAS OS is like UnRAID. My System does not consume much Power due to spinndown of the HDDs and has that easy Interface for Docker.

If that would be true, i think no one will not be upset to pay this. But we have to w8 on the official statement. I don’t think it will be long before we get it. The information is out, and many users on Reddit are upset, so the tension is rising.

I think that's correct from the company's point of view. Currently, the purchase of the software is based on a one-off payment and somehow perhaps you’ve reached a juncture where one-time payments are no longer sufficient.. That's why I see the step with a kind of subscription model as the right way. But you just can't forget the users who have been with us for a long time. It's possible that some of them might jump ship if the price is too high or simply out of principle. As B1scu1T describes it: Unraid is only what it is thanks to the community. If the community turns away because of the price and model then it can quickly go down the drain.

Hoi DataCollector Besten Dank für deine Zeit und Antwort. Ich habe zuerst denn Array erstellt, die Daten über LuckyBackup vom 2. Server kopieren lassen und danach die Parity Festplatte hinzugefügt. „Ich mag mich von früher erinnern, dass diese Variante denn vollen Speed ausschöpft, um Daten von 2 Server zu syncen.“ Wo kann ich den reconstruct write forcieren? Und würde dies nun bei laufendem Sync auch funktionieren? Meine Hauptsystem konnten damals auch fast permanent mit fullspeed syncen, dies dennoch über 24H, 16TB Platten.

Hoi Zusammen nun bin ich doch wiedermal hier unterwegs. Lang langer Pause hab ich mich entschieden auf UnRAID zu setzen. Es ist hald um einiges einfacher ich habe einen kleinen Server für backups erstellt. 1x 10TB als Parity Seagate Ironwolf und 2x 8TB als Pool. Soweit funktioniert alles wie immer. Nun habe ich den Sync gestartet damit die Daten auf die Parity übertragen wird, aber erreiche nur die im Bild angezeigte gewchwindigkeit: ich weiss dass alle 3 Festplatten 250mbs erreichen können. Darum frage ich mich, warum kastrieren sie sich auf 100mbs? was habe ich verpasst? Besten dank für eure Rückmeldung

It's been a while since I had Unraid as a server. I keep looking back and sometimes miss the simplicity of it. The advantage of Proxmox is that the VMs and LXCs automatically take over the IP from Opnsense. Now I wanted to ask, do the containers now also get the iPs from the DHCP server or is everything still entered manually? Kind regards
