I was able to load games off a mounted share with no issue, but the read speed might make it less attractive for bigger games (bg3 for example) Lately my windows 11 vm has been using 100% of one the cores on my system (core 1) for reasons I can't figure out. Btop just shows qemu with no other clues. I unmount Ed the vfs share and the same thing happened, so it's not that at least.

yeah this is using the scripts posted. Same speed using old and new version of virtiofs, ~650MB/s. Can someone post a crystal disk mark of their vm maxing out an NVME? does the fact that i'm running a vdisk instead of baremetal affect my speeds?

i got the rust version working but my speeds (vdisk and share on same nvme) are exactly the same as before, ~660MBps

Popping in to talk about the speed issues as well. Using the unraid-included virtiofs i get ~650MB/s (vdisk on same nvme as share). over SMB its the typical 120MB/s. Wondering where the other 3GB/s are going.

I only knew something happened because someone told me my server wasn't resetting on schedule, took a while to figure out what exactly was up

solved: I had special characters in my password, notably it started with a "$". i think that probably broke it. changed to simple letters and it worked

i am certain, like i said I was able to use rcon from the windows client. i even copy pasted from the config file to be sure.

if i include my admin password i get i assumed i should leave it blank using timeout prevents the error, but it doesn't return a response either

ich777, im having trouble getting your rcon plugin to connect to my palworld server. I can connect just fine with arrcon on windows this error is returned

The server saves once a minute, I wrote a simple user script to backup the Saved folder every 12 hours and hold the backups for 30 days

ok something even weirder happened. previosly i used a find/replace to turn "," into ",\n" to see the server parameters better and i think something about that broke the parsing i did another find/replace to remove the \ns and this time when i stopped the server the enter config file was empty i copied over the default config and set it all in-line and it works no go figure

how it looks after i stop the server edited to add quotes and commas server restarted, log shows it picked up custom public ip stopped server, reopened config file, quotes and commas are gone

i stopped container, added quotes, saved, restarted the server went back up with the default name and description. when i stopped the container again, the quotes and commas had been removed from every parameter except PublicIP: ive tried this probably a dozen times and its the same every time. i'm at a loss.

either i accidentally deleted all the double quotes in the settings ini or they weren't present when the file was generated (they are there in the default settings file). thanks

i have a password set in my ini but there's no password on my server. does it (and other text, like server name) need to be in quotation marks?

12 hours/14 days server is running 24/7 the folders are all there, every 12 hours, but there's nothing in them.

anyone have any idea why my backup folders are all empty?
