    It depends the type of drive you are using the environment that you are working with. I used this model before SSD was a normal thing now but didn't experience any heat issues. Fan was always on low or off.

    If you are using M.2 NVMe drives, I would suggest icy dock's MB833M2K-B. I have using it in my rig and it seems reliable, well I hope so lol
