  1. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this. I think you need to add a decimal point or perhaps just two characters instead of one on the Stats - Network section. See screenshot below, the scale goes 800mb/s, 2gb/s, 2gb/s 3gb/s.
  2. From what I read computer to computer backups will end when the service ends. Small business doesn't support computer to computer backups either, only to local folder.
  3. Hi, if I look in /boot/logs I can see saved syslogs. The last one is dated 9/21/16. Does anyone know how I can turn this back on so my syslog's are saved on reboot? Thanks.
  4. I don't really want to get involved in this discussion but I wanted to point out, deregulation was not the cause of the financial meltdown. What led to the financial meltdown was Fanny & Freddy Mac offering sub-prime mortgages to unqualified borrowers which was a Clinton era initiative to make housing more affordable. A good rule of thumb is if the government is involved, they are going to screw it up.
  5. It's not new, it's refurbished.
  6. You can run teh pre-clear with 0 reads so it should finish faster.
  7. You can find Intel X540 knockoffs on ebay for ~90 dollars.
  8. I looked on the console and saw these messages, not sure what it means grep: /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.file.integrity/disks.ini no such file or directory grep: /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.file.integrity/disks.ini no such file or directory /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.file.integrity/scripts/bunker: line 347: 24875 Terminated $exec $argv "$file" > $tmpfile.0
  9. I have 17 disks and I setup the schedule for 1 task for each disk daily at 00:00. Yesterday disk5 ran fine. Today disk 6 should have run but i did not get a notification it started and I do not see the bunker script running. Is there any way to find out why it didn't run this morning?
  10. So you have to start with RAID1 and then convert to RAID0, thanks.
  11. Hi, I read the FAQ on cache pools and I apologize, I am still confused. I have a single 256GB NVMe cache drive that I want to replace with two 850-EVO SSDs as RAID 0. I get the part about moving the data off the old cache drive. I saw where the FAQ says you have to put the -dconvert in the balance section of the cache drive. How do I get from having the single cache device to having a pool? Do I have to add the two new drives as a cache device in RAID 1 using the GUI and then convert to RAID 0 using the -dconvert command?
  12. I can't get these two to work together. I have 4 SS-500's and six sets of cables. Whenever I plug the AOC into the SS-500 it times out on bootup. If I hook the SS-500 up to a motherboard port it works fine. If I remove a drive from the SS-500 and hook it up to the AOC it works fine. I'm running the .15 firmware and the controller, drives and cables were working in a Cooler Master 4x3 drive cage before I installed the SS-500's.
  13. Check your syslog. Thank you. I was able to find the two files that were reported corrupt. They were .jpg files and seem fine. The next question would be will it recalculate the checksums for these two files or will they forever, be marked as corrupt and if the latter, how do I fix it? Hash keys are never regenerated for corrupted files. To force a new hash key you need to move or rename the original file. ok thanks, so rename, wait for it to run, then rename back right?
  14. Check your syslog. Thank you. I was able to find the two files that were reported corrupt. They were .jpg files and seem fine. The next question would be will it recalculate the checksums for these two files or will they forever, be marked as corrupt and if the latter, how do I fix it?
  15. Sorry if this is a stupid question. Say you have this setup to run on a nightly basis and one morning you get a report that two files are corrupt. How do you find out what files are being reported as being corrupt? I know what disk they are on but no clue on the file names. Thanks.
  16. I apologize if this was mentioned before, is it possible to turn off auto-update of the Community Application plugin itself?
  17. The parity check speed is calculated by dividing the size of your parity disk by how long the parity check takes so it's not a real transfer rate, more of a guideline.
  18. I use a cache drive and get 112MB/s writes over GB Ethernet consistently.
  19. Hi, I updated to 6.1.9 yesterday and today I checked the plugin page and see there is an update to Dynamix Webgui, version 2016.03.05. If I click the Information button it says Please refer to commit history on github which is a link. If I click on the link it redirects me to github and a list of I don't know what, there's version numbers, pull requests, looks like maybe fixes I don't know? If I look around here on the forum I don't see any mention of an update so was there an update and if so, what did it fix? Thanks in advance.
  20. The amount of storage in the array doesn't matter => it's the size of the parity disk. Didn't know that, thanks. It makes sense now.
  21. I guess I'm confused by the reported speed then. If Danio has a 23TB array that took 19+ hours at 114 mb/s, how is my 49TB array that took 18 hours only running at 93 MB/s?
