Hello all.
I got a CRC error on a disk I precleared. I was wondering what the general consensus is on this. It was a drive I was using previously in another system with no issues. Attached is the log.
Thank you.

Post a SMART report for the disk or the diags.
I just ran the SMART test and it said "Read Failure". I guess that answers my question! lol Thank you. File attached for reference

Hello all. I got a preclear error. I have attached the log. Our power did go out during the preclear, but I was able to resume. \
Is the drive toast?

Hi gang. I had this same problem with NextCloud and the PHP error (This version of Nextcloud is not compatible with PHP>=8.2.
You are currently running 8.2.6.) and I've managed to fix it.My write up is over on this thread if it's any help. I've tried to make it as step-by-step as possible as it was the first time I had to do this myself.
Worked great for me. Thank you!!

Not that I'm personally aware of. You also want to make sure the clocks on your client devices also have the correct time.
I rebooted the server and that must have synced things up. Running fine now. Thank you!

The most likely cause is that the time on your server is off so make sure the time on your server is properly synced frequently with a time server.
I am using the default NTP server. Is there something I can do to make it sync more frequently?

Ah. I will look into that. Thank you!

I have been using Guacamole now for awhile and it’s been great. However recently it’s hit or miss if I can log in with 2FA. It’s been getting worse and usually fails. Any idea as to what’s going on?

I mentioned this previously, but I'm on unraid version 6.9.2 and I still have the not available issue. The problem stated here isn't on the older version of unraid and cannot be solved with this solution.Yes, I'm on 6.11.5

Maybe this post from March 27th will help?
Thank you for that, but unfortunately, that didn't seem to work. All other docker containers are fine btw

I downloaded Vaultwarden and on the docker tab is says "not available" Just like the old bitwardenrs does. Is this one depreciated as well now? If not, is there a tutorial to migrate our old installation to the new one?

Just FYI to anyone that might have similar problem in the future. My new router was using a private IP and not a public IP. This was due to the way my ATT modem was configured. Once, I passed through the public IP, it worked again.

Hi all,
I recently switched routers (both asus brand). I transferred all of my settings from one to another, including the DDNS. However, I still can not connect to my dockers nextcloud, guacamole, ect through the internet as I could before. I can only connect through my local network. Any ideas before I spend all day on this?
Thank you.

Hello all. I am reinstalling nextcloud on my server and somehow it has memory of my previous username. It says it already exists. However I deleted the docker and the nextcloud folder in the appdata share. Where could this information be stored?
Thank you.

I setup WireGuard and it seems to work fine on my laptop. However, on my iPhone it says I'm connected but I have no internet access. I can not access a single web page. Thoughts?

Forwarding a port only leaves you vulnerable to attack on that port so it only matters if the application on that port is itself compromised. OpenVPN running on Unraid also requires a port forward so WireGuard is no different in that regard. What you must not do is forward any ports to an application that is not itself secure, but one assumes that both WireGuard and OpenVPN are secure applications hardened against attack.
If your router supports openVPN then that is normally a perfectly acceptable alternative. It has the advantage of meaning that you do not require any other device other than your router on your LAN to be functional to be able to access any device on the LAN. This of course assumes that your router itself is not vulnerable to attack.
Thank you for this. It had been so long since I had setup OpenVPN that I had not remembered forwarding that port. My router rarely gets updates anymore from Asus. I wonder how secure OpenVPN would be from the router? Do you see Wiregaurd as the most formidable setup for Unraid?

Hi all. I was just wondering what the consensus was for the best VPN to use for remote access to files and such? Currently I use OpenVPN. Although it still works, it seems like the docker is no longer supported. I was wondering what everyone else uses? Are most people using wireguard? I see that my Asus router has OpenVPN which can be enabled on it. Is that a good option?
I see wireguard requires a port forwarding on the router. I've always heard that this lives you vulnerable to attacks?
Thank you.

Don't see anything out of the ordinary logged, you should probably post on the OpenVPN docker support thread.
Thank you. Turns out that openvpn did have a problem, but I don't think its the root cause. If this pops up again where other parts of the server go down I'll be sure to post diagnostics.

Stop and edit the docker.
Change Repository: to this...
linuxserver/openvpn-as:2.8.8-cbf850a0-Ubuntu18-ls122
Click Apply and it will rebuild the image
You should be good to go after that once it finishes loading up o/
Worked for me. Thank you.

Next time it happens please post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics (before rebooting)
Thanks I was not familiar with the diagnostics feature. I hadn't seen anything on the logs. I have attached the diagnostics. Currently, everything seems to be working fine except for the OpenVPN. If more starts to fail, I can reupload the diagnostics.

Hi all. Have had some strange things happening with my server last couple of days. Randomly dockers will stop working. Or my VM may not work. Or can't access the UI or any files. Reboot always fixes, but symptoms seem to be different. Currently everything seems to be working except openvpn. Any idea what would cause this? The flash drive is about 10 years old. Could it be failing?

I got the RDP working. However, I was not able to connect with SSH to unraid. I can connect via Putty. Anyone else have an issue?

Great vid. Is there a way to use RDP without using a password protected account? Also is there a way where the user at the remote PC can see you control the pc in real time? When I got it to work the remote pc would go into a login type screen whenever I was logged on. Then when I was done the user had to log back in. Even if it was the same account. If end user at remote pc could see me work, it would help in troubleshooting. Thank you.
