I am trying to run tdarr in RAM (I have 192Gb) and I have set the /temp transcode cache to /dev/shm/ in both tdarr and tdarr node but when it is transcoding Unraid is only showing that 13.5Gb of my ram is being used and I am transcoding three files that are 43Gb in total size. With tdarr won't the entire 43Gb be loaded into ram if I set to /dev/shm/ or have I missed something?

As luck would have it I have now got an AMD 470 that is looking for a home. Would that work?

If I wanted a gpu for an unraid server hosted on a dell R720 forvtranscofing and possibly light gaming what would you recommend that's going to be stable and not souch hassle to install?

I am new to IPTV so please bear with the Noob, I have a sat > IP box and I have installed TVHEADEND which has picked up the channels and built an EPG. I can watch the channels through VLC etc. I am trying to use XTeVe to allow me to watch the Sat TV in PLEX on my NVIDIA Shield but I am having problems setting it up, where do I get the XLMTV files from, can I not use the channels/EPG than TVHE has built?

Thanks for that, that helped to get that part working. However it did not solve my problem. TVHeadEnd has found 100's of channels, I am using Antennas to create a virtual HDHomeRun to all PLEX to access them but when add the HDHOMERUN it scans the channels finds 900+ on the tuner, 400+ on the EPG (Freesat UK) but then only lists 13 channels with 3 matches. Any idea where I need to look to see what is going wrong?

I may have made a mess here. I was in Sonarr and I noticed that an update was available and so I installed it. Hi, I got it to work, thanks. One or two issues remain though. For some reason when I scan the channels in Plex it only returns 13, when TVHEADEND found 200+, why am I only getting 13 channels? Also, in the Plex system if I choose record, where is it setting the recording up, on my Nvidia Shield or on my UNRAID box?

Where would be ontopic to discuss this sort of thing?

I have set it to "Host"* and it has seen the sat>IP server straight away and is now busily scanning for channels, thanks so much. * which is preferable "Host" or "Custom:br0"?

I have just got an Sat>IP tuner/Server(?), this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016XL584C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And I have tried it out using a standalone player, which found the server, scanned the channels and allowed me to watch all the Freesat channels across the network, great! However, I cannot seem to get TVHEADEND to work with it, should TVHE detect it like the standalone player did? Any advice or links to help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorted, I was hacked and someone was crypto mining on my machine 🤬 You can see it in the syslog, XMRIG and Miner jobs being launched continuously. Luckily, there seems to be no lasting harm just some extra to pay on the electricity bill. My fault for opening up my router for "5 minutes" whilst I test something.

If I wanted to host several "lan" games pretty low overhead old game, with up to 8 players on each on my unraid server*, how would you do it? *R720 2 x Xeon E5-2690 @ 3GHz and 128GB of RAM.

I have just switched from a Dell R710 to a Dell R720 server and after being up a while the system starts to use all of the CPU capacity (see pic, though "normally" both CPU/Threads are both pegged at 100%) Any idea what could be causing my System to do this? What do I need to put into the device type if I want to use iptv? I have tried --device=/dev/iptv or --device=/dev/IPTV I get a failure with "Error response from daemon: error gathering device information while adding custom device "/dev/IPTV": no such file or directory." What do I need to change?

NO, UD is not giving me the option to mount it.

I have just installed a 4Tb HDD that was in a draw... in unassigned devices it is asking whether I want to format it. However I am wondering if there was anything on it would the system allow me to mount a FAT32 or NTFS drive. In other words do you think the drive is empty and I can go ahead and format/clear it? Or am I wrong.

ROON was working fine earlier in the week but since I rebooted the server for an unrelated reason the Clients just sit there "Waiting for remote core" The server has started and the logs look clean with no errors that I can see. Any ideas other than choosing another core and rebuilding which is something I would like to avoid?
