  1. My Cache drive died yesterday and since then my Plex Server has not worked or rather the media libraries are not working correctly. If I try to "manage libraries" it tells me that " There was an unexpected error Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems" I have tried the plex forums but have had no replies yet, any idea what to do? Nuke it and start again?
  2. I have a feeling that the data was being stored on the Cache drive and my issues have been caused by the cache drive dying. Am I right in thinking that the data was being stored on the cache drive is what is indicated "/mnt/cache/appdata/roonserver/app", "/mnt/cache/appdata/roonserver/data" what this indicates or am I barking up the wrong tree?
  3. "/mnt/cache/appdata/roonserver/app" Am I right in thinking that that is on my Cache drive?
  4. I thought I had setup the backup but it would appear that there is nothing in the Backup folder, sod. Can I copy the data as a backup? According to the config it is in /mnt/cache/appdata/roonserver/data I can find a cache folder on the server but there doesn't appear to be anything in it.
  5. over on the roon community they seem to be indicating that this may be a corrupted update "That usually means that Roon Server didn’t update properly… Can you try reinstalling (over the current install is fine) Roon Server from our downloads page" However, how can I try the reinstall when it is in a docker?
  6. Hi, I have been running the ROON Docker on unraid for a couple of months and it has been working well. But today the core seems to have been corrupted of something. The core was starting this afternoon but I could not connect to it, but it wont even start anymore. If I look in the logs all that seems to be there is "Initialising Corrupt Build Initialising Corrupt Buiild" Which does not look promising. Any suggestions as to my options?
  7. I have taken it out, put it into another caddy (there are no cables as it is a Disk Shelf) and am rebuilding parity.
  8. Extended Smart Finished without error. I have attached the diagnostics, any ideas what to do? tower-diagnostics-20201204-2335.zip
  9. Mmmm not convinced by the Extended Smart Self Test, it's been going for the best part of a day now and it is still at 20%, even on a 14Tb drive that seems a bit long. Doesn't it?
  10. Pretty sure, it is a NetApp DiskShelf with 4 PSU's and a Dell R710 with 2 PSU's. (Whether the wall socket can take it is another matter , but it does not draw as much power as you would think)
  11. OK, Rebooted and now the diagnostics works and I have attached. Any ideas about what is going wrong and what I should do next? tower-diagnostics-20201203-2154.zip
  12. Can someone please try to shine a light on the errors I am getting here. The system was doing its monthly parity check and now it is saying that the Parity Disk is in error with read and write errors. I have captured a syslog, attached, and am trying to download the diagnostic file which is still going after a good 10-15 minutes (is something wrong there?) I am loathed to turn the system off until I have captured the diagnostics. syslog 031220.txt
  13. I just tried to replace a reiserfs 1tb drive in the array with a 14tb drive, which didn't seem to go well as it hung whilst mounting the drive. I noticed it was trying to use reiserfs on a 14tb drive will that work? I had done a parity check prior to the drive replacement. Now I cannot roll back to the 1tb drive or seemingly use the 14tb as it reports invalid config. Not sure what to do but was thinking new config, setting all drive allocations as before, check everything seems to be working, then rebuild parity with the 1tb back in place. Add the 14tb to the array with xfs and then copy data from smaller drives into it so I can remove them from array. Any gotchas, checks I should do before going forward? Or should I even do this? 14. I don't think the Matrox onboard graphics is an integrated GPU as such but rather a discrete GPU built onto the motherboard, isn't it? I have got it to pass through successfully now by turning on "VFIO allow unsafe interrupts:" to "yes". I will look at fitting a more powerful GPU later. Thanks for your help.
  15. I have a Dell R710 Server that I am trying to set up a couple of VMs on. The Dell R710 has a built in Matrox GPU which I am having a great deal of problems passing through. Everytime I try I get a " failed to setup container for group 13: Failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted". I have tried all settings for "PCIe ACS override:" but whatever I try I get the same error. If I look in the IOMMU groups I see, no matter how I set PCIe ACS Override IOMMU group 13: [8086:244e] 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev 92) [102b:0532] 08:03.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Electronics Systems Ltd. MGA G200eW WPCM450 (rev 0a) Any ideas what to try next? *The Dell R710 has a built in Matrox GPU, fitting alternatives is a possibility but is not easy as the PCIE slots are only 8x (so you have to butcher the slot to fit a 16x card in and run it at 8x) and the slot can only draw 25w so you need to provide external power to the GPU and this means hacking into the PSU or SATA line as there are no "spare" power taps like in a desktop. I do intend to try though, anyone fitted a GPU into a R710 for UNRAID?
  16. For anyone in the UK, preferably SE/Essex I have a Nexus Edge Full tower case that is in need of a good home. These cases are fantastic for UNRAID and the case has served me well, I have just moved onto a rack server and diskshelf. Internally it has space for 20 3.5" HDD's (with the supplied 4 3.5" in 2 5.25" converters, full atx sized board and good air flow. https://www.quietpc.com/nx-edge I would prefer the case to go to a fellow UNRAIDer who can appreciate the space available in the case as I know cases with this much space internally are hard to come by nowadays. If you are interested then please DM me.
  17. binhex-sabnzbd has been running fine for ages, recently I changed my server to a Dell r710 and it ran fine for a week or more. However today it seems very flaky, when I click on the gui to change something or whatever invariably it pops up "Lost connection to sabnzbd" and after a few 10s of seconds it pops back up but if I click again, it loses connection again. When I start the GUI from the dashboard it takes ages to appear, it used to be nigh on instantaneous. I managed to pick up this error message "Traceback (most recent call last): File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/_cprequest.py", line 670, in respond response.body = self.handler() File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/lib/encoding.py", line 220, in __call__ self.body = self.oldhandler(*args, **kwargs) File "/opt/sabnzbd/cherrypy/_cpdispatch.py", line 60, in __call__ return self.callable(*self.args, **self.kwargs) File "/opt/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/interface.py", line 127, in internal_wrap return wrap_func(*args, **kwargs) File "/opt/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/interface.py", line 413, in index history['slots'], fetched_items, history['noofslots'] = build_history(limit=cfg.history_limit(), output='json') File "/opt/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/api.py", line 1797, in build_history items, fetched_items, total_items = history_db.fetch_history(h_start, h_limit, search, failed_only, categories) File "/opt/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/database.py", line 289, in fetch_history res = self.execute(cmd + post, tuple(command_args)) File "/opt/sabnzbd/sabnzbd/database.py", line 132, in execute error = str(sys.exc_value) AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'exc_value'" Behind the scenes it seems to be working, I think. Any idea on where to look?
  18. I have just finished transferring to a new server in a 19" cabinet from a very, very full full tower cased one. Dell R710 x 2 Xeon 2.8GHz CPUs (6 core, 6 threads each), 96GB RAM, Dell H200 flashed to LSI IT Mode to control the 6 3.5" internal bays (Converted to fit where the Perc controller sat) and an LSI SAS9200-16e to control the 3.5" Drives in the NETAPP DS4246 Disk Shelf that can hold 24 drives. Belkin rack KVM rack monitor/keyboard Total Array (for now) 84Tb. Quite pleased with it.
  19. I replaced my USB drive in January, unfortunately this one died today. How can I get the registration swapped over to a new one, it is telling me that I cannot replace this registration till next January!
  20. The H200 works for me once flashed to IT mode. I also change the SBR so that it would work in the internal slot where the Perc controller was. You will need to get replacement cables to connect the h200 to the backplane. I have a second Controller in a second pcie slot to control my NETAPP Diskshelf. There are several versions of the R710 some with 2.5" bays and others with 3.5" bays, I would go with the 3.5" version.
  21. I have several 8Tb drives (mixture Seagate and WD) as well as a WD 14TB parity all working fine, well they were until I wrote that.
  22. I am, slowly, making my way forward with using a Dell R710 Server and a NETAPP DS4246 Diskshelf instead of my current full (very full) tower and Diskshelf. I think I am nearly there but I have come up with an issue that is probably something that can be sorted in a minute by someone with knowledge of these things. I think I have set the NIC on the R710 to DHCP and I had set the server on the Tower case using the same config to 192.168.32. Now the server boots and I can access the server via 192.168.1.32 but on the Router it is showing as 169.254.228.146 which appears in the log here. Any idea what I need to do to have the router see the server IP address rather than this IPv4LL one?
