Aparrently it has something to do with uefi boot. The default bootorder was UEFI first. I manually booted it through legacy mode and its been running fine for 8 days now.

Same thing happened, the dashboard became unavailable and today it was crashed again I hope these two files help syslogsyslog-previous

so today when i woke up the server just completely crashed. No SSH, no SMB, No dashboard, no video out when mashing keyboard attatched to the server

Yes, i currently have the problem of not being able to get into the dashboard. I went to the login screen, put in my credentials, nothing happened for a while and then I got the files via ssh.

Hello, I´ve been experiencing a few issues here and there over the last few months but ever since I updated to the current stable version my dashboard doesnt open anymore after about a day of runtime of the server. When I restart it, it works fine for a while, after a day or two I can still get to the login screen but after entering crendentials nothing happens, it just loads forever. SMB still works fine and i can log in with ssh. Any file or something else I can provide to help troubleshoot this, or is there a known solution to this problem?

Ok, ich hab jetzt einfach testweise mal einfach alle Ordner aus dem Config Ordner rüber copy pasted und doppelte ersetzt und von den Dateien darin hab ich glaube ich nur die Docker.cfg übertragen und des scheint bisher zu funktionieren.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe aktuell leider ein Problem mit einen meiner Unraid Sticks und möchte die wenn möglich die ganze Konfiguration des alten Sticks auf den neuen Stick übertragen, damit alles wieder sauber läuft. Der alte Stick lief noch unter Trial Lizenz, auf dem neuen läuft bereits eine Basic Lizenz. Wichtig ist mir hier dass ich diese nicht ausversehen überspielen oder sonst irgend was möchte wodurch die neu aktiviert werden müsste oder sonste was, ich möchte dass das unbeeinflusst bleibt. So gut wie alles was ich zum USB Umzug fand war mit Umzug der Lizenz, daher mache ich hierfür mal ein neuen Beitrag auf und hoffe, dass mir jemand helfen kann. Ich habe bisher meinen Mini PC mit der Trial Lizenz laufen lassen und habe da einige Docker Container, eine VM und Wireguard VPN drauf laufen. Der Stick wurde jetzt aber mittlerweile 2 mal mitten im Betrieb nicht mehr vom System erkannt, weswegen ich dem Stick nicht mehr vertraue, ich KANN aber auf sämtliche Daten noch zugreifen. Ich habe eben einen anderen Stick mit bestehender Basic Lizenz eingeschoben und das System läuft zwar prinzipiell erstmal, aber mein Wireguard ist weg, gut das wäre nicht so schlimm, der is schnell neu gemacht wenns is, aber es scheint mehr nicht zu funktionieren. Die Docker Container scheinen zwar noch zu laufen, aber es werden keine Bilder mehr angezeigt, Bild dazu hier Und ich kann die Container auch nicht mehr updaten Ich habe hier also quasi 2 Möglichkeiten, alles komplett von vorne anfangen, worauf ich nicht wirklich Lust habe, oder was offenkundig die sinnvollere Möglichkeit wäre, spezifisch die Dateien/Ordner des alten Sticks einfach auf den neuen packen, damit das wieder läuft. Ich weis halt nur nicht welche Ordner / Dateien ich dafür benötige. Ich möchte halt nur auf keinen Fall die bestehende Basic Lizenz auf dem neuen Stick deswegen neu machen müssen. Ich kann wie gesagt noch auf alle Daten des alten Sticks zugreifen, wenn mir also jemand sagen könnte was hier die beste Vorgehensweise ist bzw welche Ordner/Dateien ich einfach vom alten auf den neuen Stick packen kann und dann läuft das wieder wäre ich sehr dankbar. Ich möchte das ganze gerne möglichst schnell fertig haben, da das Gerät nicht bei mir zuhause sondern bei einem Verwandten steht und ich nur jetzt heute bis Abend da bin und nur bedingt Lust habe da jetzt 20 mal deswegen hin zu fahren^^ Gruß derWinky

Apparently my mistake was not having crossplay enabled. I wanted to do that after making sure it works, but apparently starting the game form the epic launcher already counts as a different platform, didn´t expect that... First I had the fields empty in the template and only configured the ini file. I only started using the template for name and passwords after the passwords in the ini had been reset multiple times after stopping the container. I actually read that comment earlier and I did try it as you mentioned, stop container, edit file, have the template be empty, start container. But the next time I stop it passwords are both gone while the name is still there. The CSGO Server is apparently kinda working fine, I can connect to it using the local IP and my ddns with the port specified behind the IP. The only thing that´s kinda throwing me off is that it does not appear in Steams Server Tab. In Steam in "View" --> Server--> LAN as far as I know I should be able to see all my local servers for Steam Games. It was obvious for me that my Minecraft Testserver wouldn´t magically show up here but as far as I know the CSGO Server should be in here. Does it not List my CSGO Server because I changed the default port or what did I do wrong here? My Ark Server shows up just fine here Thx for the advice, I deactivated the forwarding rule for that port.

Hi, I tried setting up an ARKSurvivalEvolved Server for my friend for the last few hours but it doesn´t work and I don´t know at which part I fucked up. This is my ARK Container: and apparently the container is indeed hosting the game: that´s at least how I interpret the ram usage. Here are the containers Logs: And here are my portforwarding rules in my FritzBox router. I´m downloading CSGO right now just to check if it actually works. Just from looking at my settings I´d think this would work, but the ARK Server does not show up in the games list of unofficial servers and even if I try to directly join it by starting a private game and then typing open 192.168.178.13 to join my own local server, it doesn´t work. Can you please tell me where I fucked up? Also, at first I tried leaving the passwords and server name in the docker template empty to configure it in the .ini file. When I stoped the container, configured the .ini, started the container the settings would still be there, but as soon as I stop teh container again both passwords disapear from the .ini file.

Hab mir jetzt dieses aktive USB Verlängerungskabel gekauft: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08GP6WYW3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Mit dem kann ich den Heimserver jetzt starten mit allem angeschlossen und kriege keine Fehlermeldung wie bei dem anderen. Sollte also jemand das selbe Problem haben, dürfte sich ein Blick auf das verlinkte Kabel lohnen.

Danke nochmal. Eben die Datei erstellt und die Kiste rebooted und es wirft den Fehler nicht mehr und in der VM wird alles korrekt erkannt. Mega Nice. Jetzt nur noch hoffen dass das nächste aktive USB Kabel nicht auch in Linux den Fehler wirft und dass die bestellte USV vor dem nächsten Stromausfall kommt^^ Vielen Dank für deine Hilfe.

Ich auch nicht. Gigabyte und Asus waren immer die, mit denen ich bisher die meisten Probleme hatte, MSI bisher verhältnismäßig weniger. Asus ist zwar oft die Hardware geil aber die Software war lange Zeit extrem kacke. BIOS und treiber updater die einem sagen alles is up to date, obwohl es schon 1 Jahr neuere Versionen gibt, RGB Software die das eigene Board nicht erkennt etc. Und wenn man dann den Support anruft heist es instalier doch mal Windows 1803, da funktioniert es^^ Gigabyte ist sowohl Software als auch Hardware und BIOS technisch bei mir relativ weit hinten. Fast immer irgend welche seltsamen Probleme, BIOS Optionen von denen man ausgeht, dass sie existieren sollten und absolut standard sind existieren nicht, oder machen nicht das was sie sollen. Und fragt man den Support weis der genau so wenig und gibt einen nur einen Text aus dem Handbuch der mit der Frage nix zu tun hatte.. MSI hatte ich was Motherboards angeht bisher die mit Abstand beste Erfahrung bei Hardware, Software und BIOS. Dragon Center mag ich zwar nicht aber es funktioniert zumindest, 1x einstellen und dann deinstallieren. BIOS is meiner Meinung nach im Consumer Bereich das beste. Das einzige was mich nach wie vor nervt ist dass man m.2 Slots in keinem Board von MSI das ich bisher hatte deaktivieren kann. Muss man immer physisch aus dem Board nehmen. TLDR: Ich hab das Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Master auch nur genommen weil ich nen integrierten 10G Nic wollte und das das einzige Board zu nem annehmbaren Preis mit dem Feature war. Zu dem Zeitpunkt knapp 260€. Interessant, hab ich so vorher tatsächlich noch nicht gesehen. Hab auf Arbeit schon einige Laptops und mini PCs aufn Tisch gehabt, bisher war immer alles nur "reguläre" m.2 Karte über PCIe only Das is mir klar^^ Meine DT 990 Pro laufen auch über nen USB Fiio DAC. Finds nur irg wie seltsam alles intern per USB anzubinden. Wird schon nen Grund haben, wenn die das so machen. hmm ok. Denke ich werde dann mal die nächsten Wochen ein anderes Kabel testen. Das seltsame ist halt dass es ohne Probleme funktioniert wenn ich es anstecke nachdem Unraid läuft. Wenn ich es aber vorher anstecke sind die Logs vollgespammt. Unter Windoof funktionierts komplett ohne Probleme. Und an Unraid an sich liegts halt auch nicht weil das unter anderen Linux Distros die selben Meldungen beim boot wirft.
