  1. Not sure if this sghould go under this subforum. If not, sorry, please move it. Yesterday I installed the unraid.net plugin from Lime. Eversince on one of my servers I get a double banner (see attached screenshot), on ~50% of the times when I click one of the items in the top menu. Sometimes the banner shows up once, sometimes twice. When it shows twice, it blocks the top part of the section below (ie in this screenshot I do not see parity drive 1 anymore and only half of #2). Im using Chrome Version 89.0.4389.114 (Official build) (64-bits), which should be the latest, according to Chrome.

  3. Thanks, that did fix it! For me to understand, what (probably) happened and how is that related to ie Docker? I put the value for the user shares on 'yes' instead of 'auto' and now all is working. Happy to see it working, but kind of curious now from a learning perspective!
  4. Hi guys, I am setting up a new server (latest unraid version) and both Docker and libvirt will not start. I attached the diagnostics. I see under /mnt/ only disk1 till disk5, but no /mnt/user/ for instance.. What to do? Thanks! folkvangr-diagnostics-20210321-2236.zip
  5. ......I think I found it. I read somewhere online it will prioritize AAAA records if it finds any. I had AAAA records set up, but those were old and not in use right now. When I delete these, things magically work again I believe.. So for now, I can continue!
  6. I was using the older letsencrypt container before, without any issues, until I had to uninstall my server and set it up to a new server. THen I found out about SWAG, replacing the old docker. I was expecting things to be pretty easy to setup, but I have been trying today for several hours, to no avail. What I did: - Install the docker container through Unraids CA apps tab - Forwarded 80tcp and 443tcp from the outside to 2500tcp and 2501tcp - Fill in all the info needed (incl 2500http and 2501https) and clicked install. (check is set to http) Installation goes fine, but in the logging I see this: (changed my domain name to 'mydomain.online' for the anonimized sample below) Challenge failed for domain mydomain.online http-01 challenge for mydomain.online Cleaning up challenges Some challenges have failed. IMPORTANT NOTES: - The following errors were reported by the server: Domain: mydomain.online Type: unauthorized Detail: Invalid response from http://mydomain.online/.well-known/acme-challenge/Az-vK485heTd4xY4lz6zuobtWhDJFYIPpY58-vx36E8 [2a00:4e40:1:1::2:20a]: "<!doctype html><html lang=\"nl\"><head> <meta charset=\"UTF-8\"> <meta name=\"viewport\" content=\"width=device-width, user-scalable=no" To fix these errors, please make sure that your domain name was entered correctly and the DNS A/AAAA record(s) for that domain contain(s) the right IP address. ERROR: Cert does not exist! Please see the validation error above. The issue may be due to incorrect dns or port forwarding settings. Please fix your settings and recreate the container - The A record on DNS level is set correctly. - When I bind 80-tcp to something else running a httpd internally the NAT works, when opening my external IP from my cell phone while off wifi (did but it back after this small test). - When I try doing the same while it forwards to SWAG it times out. Is this correct?? Am I forgetting/not seeing anything here? (Id expect the daemon to answer, also for the http check from LE. - Also tried switching to zerossl, but also to no avail. ...What am I missing or doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!
  7. Next to never (Netherlands).. Unless I do not implement something ofcourse, then it will occur 3 times the next 2 months thnx!
  8. Thanks both! @jonathanm Getting both on one UPS; how would that work? I am not too familiar with UPSes, but I have mine hooked up to a usb port of my unraid server. This is currently working. When the juice is gone, it will, based on my settings, at some point in time initiate a shutdown. However, when I add the DS to this (or any other) UPS, what will that practically change? it will still initiate a shutdown at point X in time, but it will still have no way to initiate a shutdown on the DS, right? So it will jsut keep it powered on, until there's nothing left and then everything will just turn off... Right? Or am I missing something here? if I buy a 'dumb' high capacity 2nd UPS for my DS, of which I know for sure it will last longer than my Unraid UPS, then the result is practically the same right? Aside from that, I do agree on the planning for power recovery/startup! thanks for the tip!!
  9. I purchased a DS4243, card and cable. However, before actually installing everything Id like to get some understanding onpossible power outages. My Unraid box is running on a small UPS. Big enought to host the server, but too small for an additional DS. When there's a power outage, the UPS will send the server over USB a signal to initiate shutdown. How/what should I do for the DS? Should I buy a 2nd UPS for the DS? And how do I make sure it only initiates shutdown AFTER the server has been shut down succesfully? Or, is it OK if it just looses power without a shutdown after the server itself was shutdown correctly? (and therefore all id need is a bigger one, for which it is ok if it's jsut a dumb one, which outlasts the server's UPS) Please let me know your best practises :). Perfectly fine to buy something, but Id like to know what then
  10. Thanks, Id have to check, but surely will once back home! thnx!
  11. Yup that's what I put back.. Would that mean I need to redo all my shares, indexing, custom folders etc?
  12. I guess that would have been an option too yes.. ๐Ÿ™‚ But.. Impatient as I can be, I had already looked that up so what i did is the following: - Backing up my Library folder - Uninstalling the docker container - Reinstalling Plex with the manual/instructions as you said - Put back the library folder ..Results are the same though. Whenever I start playing a video with transcoding, I see it show up under 'nvidia-smi' for a very brief moment, then it disappears and I see my CPUs getting hit. Also, 2160p is still with stutters and frequent buffering. Not really sure what to do or try now? Could it be there's something wrong with the physical card? I can try with another, let powerful, nvidia card tomorrow for the sake of trying... Guess I'll do that, unless you would have any more suggestions before then? THanks!
  13. Thanks! I am happy to do so.. Just one check though.. I spent alot of time in things like libraries, collections, custom movie posters, permissions on some family members to have remote access to some of those libraries etc. Should I backup anything prior to deleting my Plex container and re-installing the container? Also, to make sure there are no leftovers as you call it, should I check for anything in particular? Thanks Oh, and about to forget the most important part, happy new year! ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Ok clear, thanks! I am not sure if I still have the original copy of that 'Plex Transcoder' file, could you please share me the contents of the original so I can revert? Also, for me to understand what I should see, can you please let me know on the fact the Plex process shows up just very briefly? Is that normal or should it be there all the time while a video is being played/transcoded? thnx
  15. Hi, did not make any difference. I used the examples from a youtuber named bite my bits (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz16M67z0uM), who said to rename the 'Plex Transcoder' file to 'Plex Transcoder' and create a new 'Plex Transcoder' file with the following contents: #! /bin/sh /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Plex\ Transcoder2 -hwaccel nvdec "$@" ...Does this make sense, or should I undo that? if I should undo, can you please share the contents of the original 'Plex Transcoder' file? I fiddled around a bit and what I have now is as follows. When I play a video Plex now DOES say it is transcoding. When I do a 'nvidia-smi dmon -s u' in the terminal I do see load while playing: # gpu sm mem enc dec # Idx % % % % 0 4 1 0 3 0 8 4 6 12 0 8 4 6 11 0 5 3 2 10 0 6 3 8 10 (etc) However, when I do a 'watch -n0.1 nvidia-smi' I now also DO see a process pop up very, very briefly for Plex, but then it goes again.. Now, I am not sure whether this is correct and it just buffers for a bit or something and then comes back when needed again, or whether I should see this process there nonestop as long as a video is being transcoded? I fear the latter, as my cpu usage is still sky high.. Please let me know what to do/check or what to take as next steps, cause I am pretty puzzled by now ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks in advance for all your help!!
  16. Dear, I have setup my Unraid/Plex a few months ago, asuming all was running smoothly. I never had issues trancoding videos and all playback was good. After I now started to include some 80-90mbps 4k UHD videos things went south. My CPU load is immense when streaming, so I figured something was not right. When I open (watch every 0.5s) 'nvidia-smi' in my docker's console, I see it finds my p2000: https://i.ibb.co/HG5KHfs/docker.jpg However, when I start transcoding something, nothing happens on the GPU, also, in Plex I do not see the 'hw' suffix, so I guess that's what makes my CPU suffer ๐Ÿ™‚ If I remember correctly, I also altered some Plex config files, to actually let Plex use the GPU. Maybe I made a mistake here, I dunno.. I'd like to check, but cannot find a good/right tutorial for this part. Is there anyone who can advise which files to check for what content, or what else to check? As my container does see the p2000 (see screenshot above) I guess the underlaying settings are correct. To be sure, I made some more screenshots though: Settings for container in Docker (GPU ID is corrrect) Plex settings What I see in Plex when a users video is being transcoded (this i find funny, I do see 'HW' but the load on nvidia-smi remains 0 and my CPU usage bumps up. I know the plugin has recently been revoked, but as I already have it installed I should be ok.. Right? Thanks in advance for all your help! Regards, Martin
