thanks I used ddrescue and recovered the data.
However I swopped out the bad drive but now I have the parity drive is disabled. I know the system went through its parity check and last night it was at 80% with no errors. This morning the drive is disabled. Any ideas as to the issue here?

the exended smart test shows "completed read failure"
this is the smart log for the drive if that helps?
I am assuming that the parity drive should not be showing invalid?
what options do I have to get my data back?
-
I moved all my data from several 2 & 3tb drives onto a couple of 12tb drives. The move went OK and parity drive was updated. However the 12tb data drives has failed and when the array starts it states it is umnountable. I have tried UD and that also states it is unmountable.
The parity drive is showing as invalid.
I have ordered another 12tb drive as I thought a drive swop would be straightforward but I am concerned that the parity drive is showing as invalid. is there anyway to look at the parity drive to see if the data can be rebuilt with a new data drive?
is there anyway to get to the data on the faulty 12tb as I would hate to loose all this data?

I used UD and got all my data off Disk2 so no data loss there.
It sounds llike I need to replace the parity and Disk2 drives. What is the best order to do this?

I have run the extended smart test on the parity drive and it only took a few seconds, it reported "Completed read failure"

I have swapped out all my hardware onto a Xeon Gold 5118 server and initially all was great. I bought two new 12TB disks to reduce the number of drives but these have not yet beem installed.
I have been using the Unbalanced plugin to move data to free up disks so I can remove them. However something happened and now the array will not start after a reboot. In the logs I see the message
"critical medium error, dev sdh, sector 976958016 op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x0 phys_seg 26 prio class 2" with a number of disk read errors and every two seconds they are repeated. The disk in question is the parity disk.
At the same time another disk has been disabled.
Not wanting to loose any data I am trying to find out what my next steps are. I would love some help!!

did you ever get this resolved as I have the same problem?
-
I believe this was due to corrupted data on the unraid boot usb stick. I put the usb into a windows machine and fixed the data issues it said it found. After this Unraid seems to have settled down and working again. Fingers crossed anyway. issue

I have rebooted but now cannot access the server by ping, ssh or via the webgui. It is remote from me so arranging a power cycle to see if that changes anything.
-
After upgrading one of my Unraid servers from 6.12.6 to 6.12.10 I see the message "your flash device is corrupted or offline" and to post the diagnostic file. See attached. Help much appreciated here.

I keep having issues with one of my Unraid servers that crashes and all docker, vms, shares etc go offline. I cannot access the remote server via ssh or webui but ping works ok. This has happended several times and I am trying to diagnose the problem but looking at the log files dont look to give me any pointers.
My only solution is to power cycle and then it is active again for days/weeks till next time. Initially thought to be power related but its on a UPS now and it still occurs.
Has anybody had a similar issue and pointers for resolution much appreciated?
cheers

I have the same problem, I have waited so long for a solution I am planning to raise a paid support call as this seems like the only way to raise its profile in order to get it fixed.

I have updatedto 6.12.10 and still the issue of not being able to connect via zerotier unless you add the comma in the listening interface exists. I am going to raise a support call and see if I can get this on the fixing radar.

I have the same issue with the parity disk being disabled. I swopped this out for a new drive and all worked for a few weeks and now the new replacement drive is showing as disabled. I have looked at the diagnostic data for the failed drive but I am at a loss as to the probelm.
I have attached the diagnostic zip file and would appreciate any direction as to what is causing the issue.
cheers

Yes notifications is enabled and in summerized display. i am not aware of any specific Unraid Connect settings I need to make. is there any?

I have just seen on one of my Unraid servers that the parity disk is disabled. Not sure why but I will swop out the disk. However the only way I found out was when I directly accessed the unraid server. I also use the Unraid Connect dashboard/plugin to keep an eye on the servers but this did not indicate any problems with the server which I am very surprised about as this is such a severe problem
The Unraid Connect dashboard shows the server with the green online icon. There is no indication that the parity disk is disabled.
This is a major flaw with the Unraid Connect plugin/dashboard and needs to be included in the next update

For anyone looking for a solution, I was able to connect to my unraid 6.12.2 from a phone on zerotier 1.10.6.
Just go to settings -> Network Settings. In Routing Table section find your zerotier ip and copy interface name from gateway column. Paste the interface name into "Include listening interfaces" field under Interface Extra section, hit apply, and it should all be working.
Not sure if anyone else has this problem but.. my config is as above but I find that whenever the unraid server is powered off or crashes I cannot get access to the unraid server via zerotier. According to my.zerotier.com the server is up and I can ping it. I have found that if I add a comma after the zerotier address in the include listening interfaces I can then access again remotely (until another reboot/crash). I would love to get this fixed.

Did you get this resolved as I have the same issue?

I have been running a Home Assistant VM for a few years with no problems but it now fails to start with the message "
Execution error - internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor"
I have attached the diagnostics file and would appreciate any pointers to resolve the issue.

@xtrap225 are you remotely rebooting your Unraid server running Mesh Central and Intel AMT? I can reboot my local Unraid server using web AMT but am struggling to find out how to install/run Mesh on my Unraid server. Cheers
-
I run an external Mesh Central server to manage my remote servers and workstations so I can use Intel AMT to remotly power cycle the devices. I would like to add my three Unraid servers into Mesh Central and wonder if anybody has already done this.
I have Intel AMT active on all the Unraid servers but I need to run a MeshCMD command for an agentless join or I need to install the Mesh agent software to get the servers to join my Mesh Central system.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to how to achieve this?
Cheers

Hi I wonder if anybody has got the Grafana docker to work with ssl?
I am installing Grafana to connect to an existing influx db in order so it can be used to make a single dashboard panel available to an external web page.
In order to embed the grafana dashboard panel iframe I need to be using https so trying to see if anybody has got ssl working with this docker container. I am new to docker and whilst I can see the Grafana commands needed I cannot run this as sudo.
Any help or direction to implement ssl in the container would be much appreciated.

I have an intermittant problem where a working VM will not restart due to a missing usb.
When unraid is restarted I often see this particular VM stopped. When looking in the vm unraid setup the required usb is passed through but not enabled - instead the "missing usb" is enabled and the vm wont start.
Disabling the missing usb and re-enabling the correct usb means I can restart the vm.
Does anyone have any idea as to why the passed through USB is not being seen and stopping the vm starting?
cheers

With the X13SAE-F being such a powerful motherboard it is a shame there is no support for 10gbe that I can see.
Migrated all data onto new larger drive and now that has failed and not mountable
