  1. Ended up being a dead drive and a bad SATA cable to my cache, those other drives are just USB I plugged in to see if they could "help" the buzz tick I could feel the drive spinning up snagging and shutting down. Thanks for the help! I am going to try and install my old cache drive on a different sata cable and se how that goes.
  2. Thanks, ill check the cables etc. and yes my primary drive died the day I replaced my SSD, brought it back online and buzz tick buzz tick. So I am living off my parity drive, now those SDB errors you are saying might be cable or PSU related ? The box is real old. it is possible Motherboard issues causing the drops etc ?
  3. Hello all, i just replaced a samsung 860EVO with a samsung 870EVO because the former died on me. However I am getting 'kernel: BTRFS error (device sdc1: state EA): bdev /dev/sdc1 errs: wr 7, rd 223, flush 1, corrupt 0, gen 0" on the new drive. There is very little there, I just brought up a couple dockers on there, I was not expecting errors immediately. Any help is appreciated tower-diagnostics-20230214-1311.zip
  4. Ok great! thanks for the quick answer.
  5. Hello all, my cache drive ssd failed last night. it is now dead and will not mount. I was not backing it up as I assumed (stupidly) that it was taken care of. Good thing is I had moved my important files to the array. Now I need to replace a 250 GB samsung SSD, read/write speed is not really that important for me on the cache drive as far as I can tell. My Jellyfin is running from the array and so is my Grafana with no issues. I am wondering if there are any downfalls to using a spinning disk for cache instead of a SSD besides performance. TIA
