  1. Thanks, Just one other, an SSD in one of my Cache Pools, but it's had an error for ages and I assume unrelated. Need to get it sorted, but it's in a pool and a low value drive/content so not a priority. Any point in trying to recover the failed drive do you think?
  2. Evening all, hoping for some help please, a drive has recently started flagging errors and causing issues when trying to access data within. Done a fair bit of googling but all suggested options have failed. I've tried a new SATA, New MOBO Port, and swapping the power cable to no avail, would opinions suggest it's dying? Unable to run any new smart tests without them failing. Latest report attached. Contemplating disabling the drive and running via Parity emulation until I can get hold of a new one, dont have any spare 10tb's laying around. Or maybe attempt to wipe and rebuild. Opinions welcome. Cheers in advance.
  3. I've stopped the VM on a few occasions and that seemed to return the system to normal. However last night I saw the same spikes with the VM already shutdown. Spike generally lasts for a sustained 2-10mins.
  4. Evening all, can anyone offer any advice on trying to diagnose these 100% spikes on CPU and Ram usage i've recently started experiencing please. Also noticed tonight all discs were spun up at the same time. Seems to happen at least daily, sometimes more often, I only notice it when using Plex as its kills the streaming. Machine specs: I7-11700k 32GB DDR4 11HDD 5SSD Running a number of dockers the most intense being Plex, and 2 VM's - Home Assistant and a Windows machine for Blue Iris (records direct to dedicated cache drive) I downloaded the logs whilst the issue was present if that helps Thankyou in advance. tower-diagnostics-20221123-2336.zip
  5. For closure it was indeed the PSU. Seems the multiple failures also took out the PlexDB & VM Library but managed to rebuild these from the backup's and DBSQL repair.
  6. just started a restore of the app data backup and seems to have rebooted again tower-diagnostics-20221117-1909.zip
  7. The VM paths had reverted to the wrong ones, i've changed them back and VM's are now loaded. Seem to have lost config on one of the docker containers also, so in the process of grabbing a backup. It's been stable now for 4+ hrs. Non the wiser to why it was sat constantly power cycling last night though, or why the VM paths had changed.
  8. Hi all, came home yesterday to the server sat doing a continuous reboot, behaviour is that it seems to be stable for 5/10mins (unraid running) and then powers and cycles through again and again. After trying several times last night I powered it down to look at in more detail today. Having just booted it up, it's sat powered on for at least 15mins now, however my VM tabs are gone, so i'm guessing something has been corrupted in the multiple reboots. First and foremost I need to work out what's causing the reboots, was it hardware or something Unraid. Spidy senses are pointing me to the PSU, but would appreciate any input from MyLogs before I try to repair the VM's or start replacing hardware. Thanks in advance. tower-diagnostics-20221117-1315.zip
  9. Success! Not sure how it'd defaulted to "Cache" - i've not had a singular cache drive for a long time. I've done a few reboots and all appears stable once more. Huge thanks!
  10. Created VM - Disabled VM Manager and Then re-enabled (VM still present in Tab) - File ending - 1800 Rebooted Unraid - VM tab present - No VM's listed - File ending - 1807 tower-diagnostics-20221025-1800.zip tower-diagnostics-20221025-1807.zip
  11. I noticed the ISO path in the configuration was incorrect, I must have accidently changed that earlier, corrected that. VM tab now present but no VM's listed. Stopped and Restarted the services as advised and diags attached. tower-diagnostics-20221025-1733.zip
  12. New diagnostics, different behaviour on this reboot. VM Tab is showing this time but getting "LibVert Service failed to start", assuming due to two images been listed as above Thanks tower-diagnostics-20221025-1334.zip
  13. Two returns. /mnt/cache/system/libvirt/new/libvirt.img - This location is when I tried to create a new .img in a new location this morning /mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img - Original location I can see no ".img" file in either location though
  14. Last night around 9pm GMT I had some erratic behaviour on my server, that started with Unraid rebooting itself, i'm unclear at this point if it was triggered via a series of mini powercuts that the UPS couldnt sustain. The after effect was that the VM tab was no longer visible, and two of my cache pools (4 drives) had become "Unmountable - No File System". I was unable to restore the libvert.img and my backup's we're misconfigured, so I manually recreated the VM XML templates and successfully rebooted the VM's (Linux and Windows). Following a reboot, the VM's had disappeared again, at this point I noticed the unmountable drives, one pool "cache_img" containing the docker and VM Images and Disks, the other "cache_files". I still had full read access to these and backed them up, followed by repairing them via btrfs repair. This found no errors but on restarting the array the drives mounted succesfully. Around 4/5am this morning the server appears to have rebooted again for some reason and again the VM's were gone. I've checked the location of the libvert.img and no file exists. I've tried disabling and re-enabling the VM's to recreate the image but still to no success. As a temp measure i've rebuilt the VM template to get the VM's up and running for now, but expect they wont survive another reboot and i'm unclear why the system is rebooting. Any help appreciated. Diagnostics enclosed. Thanks tower-diagnostics-20221025-1110.zip
