  1. i have a strange problem with jellyfin. Im using an amd ryzen 4650g and configured the hardware acceleration but i'm getting strange colorful flickering on all my media. i found out that the flickering disappears when i disable hardware encoding in settings. Any idea why that happens?

i know that. since it is not necessary for my server to run 24/7 i have a dedicated ssd in it for a local installation of win... maybe i can use that later as VM... i'm not that far right now... for me this is testing how it can work later on.

and my server will have no monitor attached until i boot locally. otherwise it really runs headless (that was my intention with unraid)

Did you get some game to run on your VM? Can you please tell how you got it to work? Headless would be fine for me :)

I got iGPU passthrough (with audio over HDMI as well, did not test display port yet) working in a Proxmox Windows 10 VM! Seems to be limited to ~30hz refresh rate but I am investigating if AMD driver updates will fix the issue.

I will test on Unraid in the coming days once I am happy with the Proxmox install. But briefly, what was key was passing the VBIOS file (latest version works fine, see file Renoir-017.010.000.028.000000.ROM from previous post), AND using a q35 machine (not default i440fx) with SeaBIOS (NOT OVMF). I will try to get it working on Unraid soon and make a guide, but will also make a guide for Proxmox for those who use PVE.

    Cheers!

i hope you get it to work on unraid win10 vm... i was really looking forward to using the igpu within my vm :(

  4. Hi!

As i have the same problem as you guys with Win 10 VM and 4650G igpu passthrough i thought i'll share my results with the provided vbios.

I am able to get my vm to run and i can also install the amd radeon drivers for it but it does not matter if i attach the vbios or not. When i check in device manager the gpu is listed but says that it encountered errors and is not running.

I don't know how to resolve that error :/

  5. Hey all,

I could really need some help in getting the iGPU of my new AMD Ryzen 4650G to run in my Win10 VM. I want to play some simple games on it.

I'm on Unraid 6.9 RC 2. I can select the igpu in VM settings but i always get this error:

    Execution error

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2021-02-28T19:06:05.376304Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:08:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.5,addr=0x0: vfio 0000:08:00.0: group 4 is not viable Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver.

When i check the iommu it says that the group is already in use by unraid...

I hope someone can help me with this as i only got that cpu so i don't need a dedicated gpu...

Please check if the Update broke your savegame and also post a log output, otherwise I can't help, please also note that you have a Backup folder in your main Valheim directory where it stores Backups from the last 24hours.

There is currently a bug in the game that can destroy your savegame that's why I implemented the Backup function to the container.

EDIT: Also please note this is a game in pretty early alpha state and such things are likely to happen.

Thank you! With the backup it works flawlessly :)
