  1. I've always wanted something like this too and it has been requested before. In the mean time, as a work around I edit my "license.txt" file that is stored in the root of the flash drive. Then in the unRAID webgui, if I click on the "Tools" menu item and then click on "EULA", I can read whatever I have written in the "license.txt" file. The license file is a .md or Markdown file and can use special formatting for hyperlinks, titles, bulleted lists, etc. Here is a link with a template and some examples that are often found in a markdown file. https://gist.github.com/PurpleBooth/109311bb0361f32d87a2 Remember to keep a backup of your custom license file as it will get overwritten on any upgrades to the unRAID OS. Here is another link that shows you a live and editable markdown file that you can use as an example to create your own file. https://www.makeareadme.com/ Another option might be to install the "Custom Tab" plugin by Squid and have a link to a page you create on the flash drive. I have not tried or tested this method but I think it might work.
  2. Yes. I think you can see the VNC port assignments for all of your VM's on the "VMs" page in the webgui. The VNC ones may only be listed if the VM is running. Your better off using RDP for your Winodws VM's as it is much better.
  3. It went flawless. No problems. I did plenty of backups just in case. Thanks for the pointers and links guys.
  4. Running unRaid v6.6.5 for a while now and very stable on the hardware in my signature. I'm about to upgrade my BIOS and thought I'd switch from using the legacy BIOS to UEFI after I confirm my BIOS upgrade is fine (It usually is). So, what precautions or problems should I look out for. I'm thinking everything should be fine but thought I'd ask anyways. Thanks!!
  5. When you power on your unraid server, there are several menu options, one of which is labeled as "Safe Mode". This allows your server to start up but without any plugins, docker containers, or virtual machines running. Choose this option and see if it resolves your spinup / spindown issues.
  6. Ok. I do have another drive ready, so I think I'll go ahead with your suggestion. Especially if it speeds up the rebuild process. Thanks so much!
  7. Disk 2 started showing high reallocated sector counts so I replaced it with a new drive. A few hours into the disk 2 data rebuild, disk 3 started showing high reallocated sector counts. The rebuild process is now taking forever and I'm worried another drive might fail over the long rebuild. Is there a better way to proceed? Or should I just let it continue. Not sure what to do. Thanks! filesvr-diagnostics-20181026-0816.zip
  8. +1 from me too! I've always thought multiple cache pools was a great idea. I'm finding that my VM and Docker usage has increased significantly over the last few months making this feature so much more valuable and needed.
  9. I recently installed this container and came to this support thread for more info on setting it up. I noticed some people were having problems with some settings too. For those having problems with post processing and encoding, ffmpeg is installed at /usr/bin/ffmpeg, so under "Advanced Settings" tab in the "Settings" menu, look under the heading "Advanced Encoding Options", and set "Path to Encoder" to /usr/bin/ffmpeg My files are now being re-encoded and moved properly. Thanks for providing this docker. Great work!
  10. Yep. Copying and pasting keeps most if not all of the original formatting of the copied text. This problem is worst now that there are light and dark themes. Best way around this right now is to Copy and then "Paste as Plain Text". Most users won't do this though. @jonp might have some control in the editor options of the forum software to automatically filter out some of the underlying HTML when users copy and paste into the text editor. I've seen this problem 100's of times with various forum and website CMS software. I'm aware of it so I always paste as plain text so the viewers get a proper formatted post.
  11. Me too 😃 I run 3 VM's with GPU passthrough simultaneously along with 11 dockers, and have 13 plugins installed. The plugins are from the well known and very active users here so I never have any trouble with them.
  12. I know most people use Host Pass Through mode as the CPU Mode when setting up their VM, but have you tried setting up a VM with Emulated (QEMU) Mode? Maybe that will help you in your situation. I'm really not sure but just offering another suggestion.
  13. No. You can leave those alone. The CPU pinning and Docker pinning in the GUI won't touch those settings. Emulator pinning in your VM XML files (if you have them in there) will be left intact too if you edit your VM with the GUI.
  14. Has anyone installed this on unRaid 6.6.0 RC2? Wondering if there are compatibility or display issues due to all of the changes in the RC. I've got a few new disks coming and this plugin is exactly what I need to do a little unRaid housekeeping. 😃
  15. I think it was removed in 6.6.0-RC2 due to compilation problems and lack of support. See here for some more info: Maybe they will figure out a working solution to this for you guys by the time 6.6.0 goes final.
  16. Upgraded from RC1 with no problems. Another round of awesome improvements and fixes. Thank you so much!!
  17. With a list like that, who can wait for the final release!! 😉
  18. I have at GT 710, GT 730, and a 750 TI all passed through at the same time, so they do work. Of course YMMV depending on various hardware. A lot of others have gotten the 7xx series to work too and their price makes them attractive to use for VM media use, which is my use case.
  19. Right. I think LT will add isolated CPU's at some point and then this will be possible to calculate.
  20. This makes sense. If no cores / threads are pinned for the container then the CPU percentage should be calculated from whatever cores / threads that are available for the container to use. And this brings up another scenario. What about isolated cores / threads that are used for VM's? Ideally you would want to exclude any isolated cores / threads used for VM's from your CPU utilization calculation.
  21. FYI, I've tried this for myself just to see if I would have problems also. I haven't had any issues with it. I've changed memory, machine types back and forth between 2.xx and 3.0, changing USB devices, and CPU allocation. No problems whatsoever. And I didn't lose my custom XML edit for emulator pinning!! 😃
  22. Another minor issue with Help at Add VM using Form View, Click on Help, under VirtIO section: Old Link (No lnoger works): https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Windows_Virtio_Drivers#Direct_download New Link: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/creating-windows-virtual-machines-using-virtio-drivers/index.html#virtio-win-direct-downloads
  23. I had the same problem. Note: the "dynamix" folder is still used so I did not delete that. Restarted and everything works fine now. This is an awesome release!! You guys did quite a lot of work. Thanks to all those involved!!
  24. Love the new site! I also prefer the lighter background with dark text for the forums as it is much easier to read. Also, the "Bug Reports" forum returns a 404 error. https://unraid.net/bug-reports
