iperf3 shows 930 Mbits/sec from my mac laptop to server, local rsync of files in terminal at server - 300MB/s to hard drives array, about 600MB/s to cache SSD in terminal. But when I copy files (same rsync command) from my mac to cached or non-cached share speed is just 25MB/s. What is happening here? Any troubleshoot for this?

Cool. Great to know. So based on this, I made an upgrade. Seems almost flawless, beside a small panic with all of my VMs. They were old and using the old, obsolete machines and they were no longer supported. Once I found out that this is an issue - changed in template to newer ones and voila - works. So far I have not deleted the NerdTools - python3 seems to work so I will leave it. I thought it will be deleted automatically.

Hi so finally I am planning to move to 7.0. However I found out that I am using one plugin not compatible: "Issue Found: NerdTools.plg is not compatible with 7.0.0. It is HIGHLY recommended to uninstall this plugin. Only advanced users should consider installing this. This plugin is unmaintained, and will be deprecated on Unraid 7.0 as many (most?) of the packages will no longer function with the updated kernel. I tried to dig up why I use this and found out that some day in the past I had issue with scripts in User Scripts. One of them simply launches daily: python3 /mnt/user/NUC/ftp_download.py and this is super simple python script that makes mirror of my external web server daily. checks if all files copied properly and deletes them at the server side. Nothing fancy. But without NedtTools - this was not launching. I wonder if with new 7.0 this will run via python3 command or I should change something or there is no python enviroment so I need to rewrite this into bash?

I gave up, no idea at all what is wrong but with new Mac I cannot use time machine. Created new share for user, private, set to time machine. Mounting it at Mac, adding as space but when it starts just gets error that machine couldnt complete backup and info "The backup disk image could not be created.". Nothing else I need support on this.

Looks like I made a huge mistake. Just copied files from one unraid server to another (more then 30h of copying) and now seems like I been stupid like hell. To have a better control over things that I am copying, I simply created a new share and copied all files into it. Now I wanted to distribute these among the target shares properly and what I see is not a real "move" command for me. Its not just linking files to new locations but actually copies it. So I am doing full copy for the second time like stupid. Is there a way to avoid it? What is a cause of such behavior? Cant files be left at the actual physical drive where they are and just re-linked?

These are multimedia files for Plex so FTP copy is fine for me but yes - will switch to rsync once I will come to part of copying backup files just to be sure. thanks!

OMG, I think this turbo-mode did a trick here. Thanks! I will come back to normal setting once finish (in few days...) I would prefer to go rsync but also found out that this was choppy. What did you mean by "UD" - mapping via SMB and then manual rsync? I thought that FTP should be quicker.

Hi I need to move total of 24TB of data from one running Unraid to new one. Both are with 1 Gig connection, same network. I found out that quickest way for me to do this is to go with standard FTP server as everything is local, no secure issues. However I see very strange drops in copying files. Goes up to limits of LAN then drops dramatically basically to zero and again and again. Total speed then is not even close to half of possible one. Here is how network traffic looks like: any idea what could be a problem here? What is a bootleneck? System I pull data from - NUC i7 10th gen with 32GB RAM and unfortunatelly 2 disks connected via USB 3.0 there (thats why I am moving data) System I copy to is based on Asrock N100M motherboard (N100 intel) with 1 parity drive on MB Sata controler and 4 SATA on PCIE controller.

Hi so I need to create new VW with LUBUNTU installed but I have big problem. Once I create VM all looks fine (br0 direct bridge) but when I save my config - network interface in config disappears and I see only this: And when trying to install Lubuntu there is no network interface. How can I enable network interface there? How I can install guest drivers if not having internet connection? Cannot use apt-install. It never happened to me earlier on my other Unraid server but I installed my last VM few years ago and perhaps I miss something here?

Tried there - no answer. How I can install NTFS-3G directly on Unraid, without use of unassigned devices? Unassigned do not see this drive which is 100% usable under Windows.
