  1. Hi, is it possible to run a post-read test only? I accidentally ticked to skip the post-read...and i would like to start the test after the pre-read / erase / zeroing process...what should i choose exactly to not loose the log? Thanks
  2. Hi, i ran out of SATA slots. I do have 1 parity drive 14tb wd red plus, 1tb ssd samsung pro, 3x14tb wdredplus, 2x10tb and 1x6tb. I want to replace the 2x10tb and 1x6tb drives for brand new 14tb drives. Whats the best option to start with? Can i remove in the time of not using dockers and vms the cache drive, to have at least one sata slot free, to start preclear and then rebuild after removed one of the drives? Or what should i do? Someone could give me a short advice. Thanks
  3. Hi, i would like to know, which drive should i use as parity...i bought a while ago a WD Ultrastar DC HC550 (18TB) but this drive was so unbelievably loud, that ive returned it back. My biggest drives are 14TB WD Reds. I try to have my (NAS) as quiet as possible. Now as the parity drive should be bigger as 14TB, i dont know which one to get...all drives above 6TB are 7200rpm only...i do have only 5400rpm drives, or lets say 5400rpm CLASS someone have any advice? I dont know about noise of a WD Red Pro, or a WD Gold drive...surely a WD Ultrastar is not on my list now...
  4. Hi all, im a total newbie to unraid and im planning to go from win10 to unraid in the near future (a week or so :D ). I do have following setup: 2x14TB WD Red (EFFX), 2x10TB WD Red (EFAX), WD Red 1x6TB (EFRX), WD Green 1x3TB (EZRX), WD SA500 1x512GB SSD as cache for Emby and Corsair MP510 (SSD Nvme) 1x2TB for Win10. The WDs are full of movies, shows etc which are streamed via Emby to my clients. I would like to buy a 16 or 18TB drive for parity, and i dont know which one. Somebody "personal" does know the noise level of the 16 or 18TB drives? I would like to have it as quiet as it gets. I dont want to take a parity check, which would last ages...There are no 16-18TB WD Reds. Only the WD Red Pros or Golds which one would be the better choice? I dont care if it will be 100$ +/- i care only a lot about the noise level. Thanks. P.
