  1. I have been using lsiodev/sonarr-preview for more than a year with no problems. Only yesterday I noticed, that this image has been deprecated for months now. I like v3 way better than v2, and I want to keep using it. I gather, I need to switch back to the main image and use the preview tag. If I recreate all of the new container settings exactly as they are now, except the repository (off course) would change from lsiodev/sonarr-preview to linuxserver/sonarr:preview - would everything just work? Or do I need to take some additional steps?
  2. Can I ask, why Node.js version, included in the NerdPack is so old? I mean 8.9.4 came out Jan 2018. Today node is at 10.15.3 or 11.14.0 Is there a good reason why it's not up to date? Sorry, I'm a total Linux newb. So pardon my silly question, if it's some kind of obvious or common knowledge thing, that I am not aware of. I am asking, because I am learning javascript/node and want to use it to write scripts for myself to use on unraid. Yesterday I spent whole day re-writing my own bash script to do something more complicated, and it was a PAIN in the a**. Also I would like to ask a couple of questions about using NerdPack: if I use NerdPack to install something, eg: node on this occasion - if I uninstall it via NerdPack later on - will it be uninstalled completely and cleanly - like it never was there in the first place? where does node get installed? And all the packages I would install globally (using -g) via npm? As I understand, unRAID boots from flash into ram, and runs in memory 100%. So where exactly is node and packages installed, then? Or should I better never install packages globally? Thank you for any answers/help.
  3. @Delarius @ShoGinn thanks, guys - it worked perfectly 👍
  4. A couple of months ago, I have spent half a day searching here on the forum and googling in general, still I could not manage to make my .bash_profile work. Finally, I just gave up. Please, can someone write up a detailed step by step guide how make .bash_profile work properly and persist the reboots. Please, do not assume that I know any "obvious/mundane/everyday" stuff, when it comes to this sort of thing. What I want to add to my .bash_profile: # History ignore and erase dupes export HISTCONTROL=ignoreboth:erasedups # Aliases alias lir="ls -liR" alias nolinks="find . -type f -links 1 -print" alias efd='bash /mnt/user/temp/scripts/empty-folders-delete' alias efp='bash /mnt/user/temp/scripts/empty-folders-print' alias fsf='bash /mnt/user/temp/scripts/find-samefile/batch-find-samefile' I'm asking, because I would really like to aliases and have nice history.
  5. @Squid Thank you, worked like a charm.
  6. I have a problem with one of my docker containers. It seems, that I messed up, and deleted it's template. Now I cannot update the image. I keep it running for now, because I wanted to ask before hand and double check: What happens, if I turn it off? If I turn it off, and template is missing, does it disappear from the docker containers list? What would be the correct way to fix this? Do I simply re-install the container from the App Store? Do I need to delete/remove/clean-up something before reinstalling? This is how it looks now in the Docker tab list: no template - no link to edit it.
  7. @trurl Thanks, it worked 👍
  8. Need some more help, please: I have to provide these 2 environment variables (-e), when running the arangodb docker: ARANGO_NO_AUTH=1 ARANGO_STORAGE_ENGINE=rocksdb How do I do that in the template? How/where do I add these? First time adding docker from docker hub 😓
  9. HA, I actually tried "arango", when I got quite frustrated after trying arangodb for the nth time... it seems I still typed too much 😁 Thanks for a quick answer @Squid
  10. I want to install arangodb from dockerhub, but Apps plugin cannot find it... 😟 When I try searching, it cannot find arrangodb in the regular apps, so I use the Click Here To Get More Results From DockerHub. And then the search kinda hangs... the spinner is "vawing" away, and nothing... Help, please.
  11. @jbrodriguez I went through the unbalance logs and found that it was probably my own mistake. The files at that moment were only on disk 26, and the folder on disk 1 was empty, because I forgot to move the files on disk 1 to the appropriate folder before running unbalance. Long story short, I have a routine for moving/gathering files between disks. This time, I missed a step, it seems, and thought it was unbalance's fault, but it was mine. Sorry, for making a hasty false alarm. Thanks for an awesome, script, dude. I use it all the time.
  12. I think, the latest version (v2018.06.05) introduced a bug. At least, this never happened before, and I've been using unBALANCE for about 6 months. The problem is with a Gather mode: I select a folder to be moved - it is currently on two disks: disk 1 and disk 26 After planning is finished - disk 26 is missing from the list of potential destinations Actually disk 26 is exactly the disk that I wanted to move files to, because it already has the majority of files in it. basically, it should have been the first/preferred choice in the suggested list - but as I said, it is missing completely. And no, it is not out of empty space. The size of the files to be moved would have been ~32GB and disk 26 still has 3.28TB of free space. Basically, it kinda feels like a bug, like the "top item" was removed from the list by mistake. Sorry, I do not know Go language so I'm not able to check out the latest commits and find an answer.
  13. @sparklyballs Thanks for info. I thought I messed up something - because just by sheer coincidence I actually changed some paths in the Radarr container, and changed some Radarr settings, pretty much the very first time, since I started using it I was pretty much %100 sure it was my own doing, so I left it be till tomorrow... But decided to look up the forums, just in case The odds of this happening at the very same time... heh
  14. I did uninstall Preclear plugin, when I was upgrading from 6.3.5 to 6.4.0, as per instructions. I really liked this plugin and always used it on the new drives. Now I just received my 2 new drives and am really missing this plugin. Can I actually re-install and use this plugin on 6.4.0? From reading the last pages of this thread, I get a feeling, that it seems to work on 6.4.0, and only has problems on 6.4.1. I haven't upgraded to 6.4.1 yet. So, I just want to double check, if it's OK to re-install this plugin and use it on 6.4.0? I have zero Linux experience/knowledge (except unraid), so I am not even considering using scripts in terminal, etc. For the time being - it's the plugin or nothing for me, hence I'm asking here.
  15. As much as I understand, the complete and incomplete folders are auto-created, when the docker container starts. Can this be disabled somehow? I use a bunch of dockers containers, that point to the same downloads user share, so I use the subfolders to make it more organised. This is an example: \downloads\transmission\complete \downloads\transmission\incomplete \downloads\nzbget\complete \downloads\nzbget\incomplete \downloads\rutorrent\complete \downloads\ruttorent\incomplete The problem is, that transmission docker always creates those damn complete and incomplete folders in \downloads\ folder, even though they are never used. This drives me up the wall Every time I restart the container, I need to delete these 2 folders - if not, I always go into them by mistake looking for downloaded files I hope this can be disabled. Or at least, please consider making this optional with an ability to be disabled. Why are those folders auto-created anyway? I mean transmission can create folders on the fly, when downloading, so why would you hard code this into docker container?
  16. @Squid Thanks for the info. Symlinks - that makes sense. Because I was really struggling to explain size: 5.3GB and size on disk: 174.4GB. That's almost 33x As I understand XFS is way better with huge numbers of files/folders, than NTFS? Because in windows, having that much crap in MFT really impacts things... Ha.. Copied over the plex folder to a local ssd on my windows rig, and the size on disk is a OK
  17. Thank you, for making me check again Everything's in order - Plex is actually using appdata to store it's library files (all them zillions...). What happened was, I opened the properties for \\THEPIT\appdata\binhex-plexpass in my windows rig, and it showed only ~250MB. I probably panicked, closed it down too fast, while it was "stuck" getting the list of files or some crap. At least it seems this way now, because I just checked the properties for the folder now, and it took more than 10 minutes to finish getting the list of files/folders and the sizes But before, I closed pretty fast, because it looked like it finished. I quickly went to check how much free space was Sonarr showing in it's settings (as it only sees/shows the "inside" size of the docker.img) and it showed about 12.5GB free out of 20GB. So I thought it was plex that used it up, as I remember vaguely, yesterday it was ~17GB free. Anyway - my bad, for the lack of experience with unraid, docker, plex, and linux overall. Sorry bout that. On the other hand... the size of the plex folder in appdata is f***in ridiculous... This is the craziest/stupidest thing I have ever seen I hope there's some bullshit going on with that 170GB on disk, because unraid webui shows, that my cache ssd is only 189GB used, and ~100GB of that are usenet and torrent downloads... So... wtf? Either way, that stupidity with 174k of files and 280k of folders is even stupider. Why not use some file-store, something like gridfs or litedb, or somesuch... I wouldn't think that it would impact the performance to unusable levels... How in hell there are 1.5 times more folders than files I bet most of the files are not "alone" in them folders, that means there's not 100k+ empty folders, but probably way way more. Probably there's more empty folders that, folders that have anything in them. I seriously do not understand the logic behind this... Like I mentioned before - that's not my full collection, far from it. That's ONLY about 1/4 of my tv shows and that's it. How big it's gonna be, when I'll add the rest of 3/4 of my shows, all my movies, and some music?
  18. Edit: Nevermind, it was my mistake: Original post: If I simply recreate the same container, with no changes, I will get the same result, wouldn't I? I need to find the solution, before deleting the whole docker.img file. At least I would like to copy the Plex library files - the scanning took some hours... And sorry, I forgot to include the details. Here they are: And the log 2017-11-04 10:56:17.200985 [info] Host is running unRAID 2017-11-04 10:56:17.229632 [info] System information Linux thePit 4.9.30-unRAID #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri May 26 13:56:36 PDT 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux 2017-11-04 10:56:17.257100 [info] PUID defined as '99' 2017-11-04 10:56:17.285439 [info] PGID defined as '100' 2017-11-04 10:56:17.346306 [info] UMASK defined as '000' 2017-11-04 10:56:17.386139 [info] Permissions already set for volume mappings 2017-11-04 10:56:17.417397 [info] TRANS_DIR defined as '/config/transcode' 2017-11-04 10:56:17.495711 [info] Starting Supervisor... 2017-11-04 10:56:17,654 CRIT Set uid to user 0 2017-11-04 10:56:17,654 INFO Included extra file "/etc/supervisor/conf.d/plexmediaserver.conf" during parsing 2017-11-04 10:56:17,656 INFO supervisord started with pid 7 2017-11-04 10:56:18,659 INFO spawned: 'plexmediaserver' with pid 48 2017-11-04 10:56:18,659 INFO reaped unknown pid 8 2017-11-04 10:56:19,661 INFO success: plexmediaserver entered RUNNING state, process has stayed up for > than 1 seconds (startsecs) In the mean time I found these, which seems to be about this exact situation. The problem is, it's probaly way over my head - my linux and command line experience is about 10 hours old https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/277724/moving-pms-library Is this at least somewhere in the ballpark?
  19. Edit: Nevermind, it was my mistake: Original post: I have a problem. Just FYI, I'm quite new to unraid, and quite new to plex itself. I chose this docker, because it seems it's the only "plex-pass" version on the app store. Anyway. I installed it, set everything up, and scanned in a small part of my tv shows collection, just to try it out. I was about to install Trakt plugin, when I noticed, that Plex did not save the library meta files somewhere in the appdata/binhex-plexpass. Instead, it seems, Plex saved them inside the docker image file. What!? I mean, my docker file is only 20GB in size (by default, iirc). That will be way too small for plex to store all those hundreds of thousands of files, if I scan all my media in. And anyway, why is plex saving them inside the container, while the config files are in the (proper) appdata/binhex-plexpass folder? I thought I missed some setting in the container options, but it seems - not. Is this a "normal/default" behavior? Can I move all that crap out of container and into appdata? If yes, how do I do that? Sorry, complete linux newb here... All I can think of atm, is maybe I need to connect inside the running container, move the files (if it's possible) into appdata, and then make a symlink/junction, whatever it's called on linux? Maybe I actually did something wrong, while installing, missed some setting, or a step somewhere? Or maybe there is a simpler/easier solution? If this is the intended behavior, then why? Am I missing something, or does this feels kinda wrong? I really do not like having 50GB+ or more af Plex carp inside the container image... Thanks in advance for any help.
  20. @impalerware thanks. Changing back the port to 8080 worked. Although 8080 is quite popular port among the containers, isn't it? Hope nothing else will that hell-bent on keeping 8080 Another weird thing - even after changin back to 8080 the webUI works only in Firefox and only in Chrome Incognito mode. It still gives me a blank page in regular Chrome.
  21. @Squid thanks for reminding me, added the screens.
  22. @memphisto thanks, already done. Although, I have set: download_rate = 0 upload_rate = 0 ...and in the GUI settings I instead get 1024000 for both
  23. @Spies thanks for the reply. Did you mean rtorrent.rc which is located here? \cache\appdata\rutorrent\rtorrent\rtorrent.rc Edit: nevermind, thanks again @Spies, I edited that file and it's all good now
  24. When I open the webUI - all I get is a blank page, with literally nothing on it.
  25. Some settings simply do not "stick". Every single time I restart the rutorrent container - I need to remove the global upload and download limits and what is the most annoying - I need to disable DHT again, every time (I do not use public trackers). This actually makes it impossible for me to set rutorrent to autotsart - because I will forget to actually open it and re-set these options again. How can I make rutorrent to keep the all the settings changes?
