Thank you. I think I'm going to wait till this disk finishes rebuild. I am not seeing any other issues in the array (outside of the log) as I did before. Like disks with reallocated sector counts going up etc.
Will rename the top folders in lost+found in the disk after it is done and then restart the array before I start rebuilding disk 12. That should clear the log file and will monitor it closely after that.
Should I rebuild disk 12 onto itself, since the file system check did not create a lost+found in that disk, I am assuming that the disk itself is okay and it was the voltage fluctuations causing the issues with the disk dropping off?
Is that a good plan? Or should I rebuild it into the old disk from disk 19 slot?
When I will be in the same situation I would try to reuse the old disk. Just because your problem wasnt the disk itself, it was your powersupply.
When I really want to many drives I would instantly go just for 12-16TB drives.
I just got a Corsair RMx 550 with 12 Disk attached two HBAs. Without any problem but it seems the rails are better?
Anyway try to use your "old" disk12 and try it. It should work. A friend got in the same trouble with a faulty motherboard. But even then we were able to rebuild the old disks without a problem. -
Hello,
I already looked up everything what I was able to find with the search function and google.
I set up a second pool (cache ssds). Named it "cachepool2".
When I move files to this pool and invoke the mover every single file says in the logs "file exist" on the array but it isnt.
Shares are set up:
Name: BackupsUse Cache: Yes
Cache: cachepool2
So now the faulty as mentioned above. When I use the "classic" pool "cache" everything works as excepted. But when I create a new "cachepool" mover wont move files from the cachepool2 to the array...
QuoteFeb 16 19:33:46 XXXXXXX move: move_object: /mnt/cachepool2/Backups/PC-Bak.tb File exists

I cant see my second cache pool. This isnt a big problem. But yeah would be nice it to be added with an update.

Is there a good reason to use this over the built-in WireGuard implementation?
Sadly I have to say that this wireguard docker works better for me then the inbuild one. Within Unraid directly I cant get even access to something. Even when everything is setup correctly....

MY BAD!!!
Needed AdGuard setting to writeover fritz.box to my fritz ip....
Now everything works. I am so sorry. -

i guess its 1000/50 same as me, working fine here, so may take another look
just got my 6591 replaced, worked fine on 7.27 and now 7.29 too
Nah I got a great upgrade here for my upload 🙂
Still cant get it to work. I created now 3 different accounts within my fritzbox but it wont display any stats... Strange..If I go through my browser to IP:9042/metrics everything appears... Hm... I am confused.

Whats the exact issue? Have you followed the instrucions step by step?
What FritzBox are you using?
Fritzbox 6591 Cable (Vodafone Cable Business 1000Mbit / 500Mbit)
For sure I followed step by step. But I cant even find any logs or something after I startet the plugin, restarted prometheus and grafana. Still no data even within Prometheus nothing seems to happen. My NETATMO Station, Unraid Server, WireGuard and AdGuard looksup and shows my stats, but my "Fritte" wont work at all... -

Prometheus Fritzbox Exporter
-
Download and install the Prometheus Fritzbox Exporter plugin from the CA App:
-
Log in to your Fritzbox and go to "System -> FRITZ!Box-Benutzer":
-
Click on "Benutzer hinzufügen":
-
Create a new user with a password for the exporter (in this example "grafana") and tick the following check boxes ("FRITZ!Box Einstellungen", "Sprachnachrichten, Faxnachrichten, FRITZ!App Fon und Anrufliste" & "Smart Home"):
-
Go to "Heimnetz -> Netzwerk -> Netzwerkeinstellungen" and select "Statusinformationen über UPnP übertragen":
-
Go to the plugin settings by clicking on "Settings -> Fritzbox Exporter" (at the bottom of the Settings page) :
-
Enter the username and password that you've created in Step 3 for the exporter in your Fritzbox and click on "Confirm & Start":
-
After that you should see in the right top corner that the Exporter is running and details about it:
-
Open up the prometheus.yml (Step 4 + 5 from the first post), add a line with '- targets: ["YOURSERVERIP:9042"]' (please change "YOURSERVERIP" to your Server IP), save and close the file:
- Go to the Docker page and restart Prometheus:
-
-
Open up the Grafana WebUI:
-
In Grafana click on "+ -> Import":
-
Now we are going to import a preconfigured Dashboard for the Fritzbox Exporter from Grafana.com (Source), to do this simply enter the ID (12579) from the Dasboard and click "Load":
-
In the next screen rename the Dashboard to your liking, select "Prometheus" as datasource and click on "Import":
-
Now you should be greeted with something like this (please keep in mind that the Dashboard can display N/A at some values, especially at the gauges, since there is not enough data available, wait a few minutes and you will see that the values are filled in):
This seems to be a nice plugin. But anyway I cant get it to work. Sadly. But anyway thank you for this!

Hi- Would love the help - I did this for a bit of fun to be honest but now when i try to build new image Dockerhub is requesting i start paying for a plan
You could try to build within ghcr.io (github).

Nice build and nice set up. Clearly mentioned everything others my be finding usefull. (Like RDIMMS).
Like your build and even your AIO-Watercooled solution should be fine. 🙂
Also to mention not problem while helping you out with your hackintosh. It was a pleasure! 🙂
Good Luck with your new build. Mine is also already set up and running but atm just as a backup unraid 🙂 (Trial) cuz I want to get all working before I switch my "Working-Monster"- 1

My freezing issue went away. I found that the newer drivers (virtio) are making some problems with Win 11. I uninstalled them and my VM runs okish. Its not fast or very fluid, but it wont freeze up atm.

Hm.... I would say this seems just to be annoying.
The Kepler Patch is requiered if you want the correct resolution for your monitor. What I dont get is, when you installed it with macinabox why it is already monterey But Lucky you. When the iso is already there you could now try to edit the also existing OpenCore.img to update this to OpenCore 0.7.5 with my mentioned kexts and config.plist.Maybe we when could get closer together. Write me a PM with Discord or any other instant-messenger. 🙂 I will help you as much as I can.

If the panic is really random, it could be related to cpu sync; some cases were reported on acidanthera bugtracker with monterey and amd, but they were closed since opencore doesn't officially support amd cpus.
I don't get why you want to passthrough the cpu without spoofing it to an intel one: we use vms for this reason too, and you get no performance increase with this.
This doenst matter if he set up the vms xml correctly. Then the cpu get spoofed as a Intel one.
I never tried to just rename a dmg into img. What I could try to assist you further will be with a Monterey ISO and a OpenCore.img.
Maybe this is the problem. -

That kext is used for power management of NVME drives.
You can open the config.plist in your efi with a text editor and try to change ExternalDiskIcons from false to true.
That's strange...because mac os doesn't prevent to install it on an external drive.
Have a look also at this list:
https://github.com/dortania/bugtracker/issues/192
in which there's a list of problematic/non problematic nvme drives for trim.
My nvme isnt in this list But works
-
First of all I would try OpenCore 0.7.4 at least better 0.7.5 (dont forget the BOOT.EFI)
Remove AGPMInjector.kext / USB-Map.kext / Logi-*.kext
Also all ACPI
also
<type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-q35-5.1'>hvm</type>
to
<type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-q35-6.0'>hvm</type>
If wanted I can provide you a OpenCore.img (Which should work). But you will need to edit it with the LATEST OpenCoreConfigurator for the config.plist.

Seems to be impossible for me to get this running. I adjusted the VMs xml and used the config.plist with my kext and my system info. No chance.
Maybe I stick with a BigSur Macinabox and try to install that on a NVME and passthrough the GPU.
strange....
VM Template:
CPU Mode: Host Passthrough
Inital Memory: Same as Max Memory
Max Memory: XXXXX MBMachine: Q35-6.0
BIOS: OVMF
USB Controller: 3.0 (qemu XHCI)
Is this like your setup? -

And me too...and that's one of the reasons that make me think about the update.
Damn I don't want to pay for a gpu on amazon or ebay that costs 5-6 times more the real price...
Same for me... Eventually I will replace my RX580 from my workstation anytime but atm my GT630 just works fine..

I marked the section where you can put your PlatformInfos "Generci" once, just look up for "PASTE HERE YOUR PLATFORM INFO!!!"
And you should able to got into the installation menu.
I use and used OpenCore 0.7.5 and also the mentioned kexts within the config.plist.
@ghost82 You are right he need to use the kepler-patcher like I needed
But as always try this config.plist also with my mentioned updates to your xml.
I hope you'll get to your "Installation Menu". If not I still try to assist you 🙂 -

Nasty patches? It's a few prebuilt binaries and prebuilt ovmf file. If someone can't edit their own xml file I wouldn't suggest they use a test verion of unraid.
For me it is a lil bit of nastynes cuz Unraid will when upgraded to stable 6.10 maybe remove the patched / updated files.
So why I should do it myself, when already a update will come which add the wanted "features"? I mostly like to use a system like it is (system as is). Just for better error findings and so on. 🙂
I wont say that the "new prebuilt binaries" are bad or something near like this. It is nice that someone found a way to do it for earlier unraid builds but as I said, if some new errors or problems can come through such doings no one can really help if they happen or I will say it will just be harder to find solutions then.
