  2. Hello guys! I am trying to run my old Quadro FX 1800 on my server but I can not seem to get it to work. Maybe my HW is just too old? I know that unraid sees the card, because of the following lscpi -v output: 28:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G94GL [Quadro FX 1800] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation G94GL [Quadro FX 1800] Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 5, IOMMU group 16 Memory at f6000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M] Memory at e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] Memory at f4000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=32M] I/O ports at e000 [size=128] Expansion ROM at 000c0000 [virtual] [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: [60] Power Management version 3 Capabilities: [68] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+ Capabilities: [78] Express Endpoint, MSI 00 Capabilities: [b4] Vendor Specific Information: Len=14 <?> Capabilities: [100] Virtual Channel Capabilities: [128] Power Budgeting <?> Capabilities: [600] Vendor Specific Information: ID=0001 Rev=1 Len=024 <?> Kernel modules: nvidia_drm, nvidia Unforunately i still get the following error: "NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running." Hope anyone can help! Thanks in advance.
  3. Bumping myself to the top, hopefully someone has seen this problem before?
  4. Hello guys! I am currently running my unraid-build(6.9.2) on an older HP Z600 setup. While this is quite old hardware it works really well for my use. I am trying to have some fun with plex/emby and passthrough the graphics card. The first thing I did was download the "Nvidia driver" plugin, followed by the "GPU statistics" plugin. Unfortunately none of these seem to recognise my GPU. I know that Unraid sees the GPU because when i run lspci -v i see it here: 28:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G94GL [Quadro FX 1800] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation G94GL [Quadro FX 1800] Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 5, IOMMU group 16 Memory at f6000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M] Memory at e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] Memory at f4000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=32M] I/O ports at e000 [size=128] Expansion ROM at 000c0000 [virtual] [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: [60] Power Management version 3 Capabilities: [68] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+ Capabilities: [78] Express Endpoint, MSI 00 Capabilities: [b4] Vendor Specific Information: Len=14 <?> Capabilities: [100] Virtual Channel Capabilities: [128] Power Budgeting <?> Capabilities: [600] Vendor Specific Information: ID=0001 Rev=1 Len=024 <?> Kernel modules: nvidia_drm, nvidia The Nvidia-driver plugin gives me the following error: NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running. Does anyone know how I can begin to fix this? It might just be possible that my HW is too old...? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello guys! I've had my UNRAID server up and running for quite some time now in an IBM X3550 M4. I now need to transfer my setup to a HP Z600 workstation. When I insert the UNRAID USB it is not recognised by the BIOS/system as a bootable device, although the USB-stick can be seen by the system. I am able to load a Ubuntu live-USB without any problems with a different USB, so I do not think it has anything to do with the BIOS setting or similar. Ive tried creating a new UNRAID USB as well but that has not given results. Any advice on what I can try would be very much appreciated. Thank you! EDIT: Apparantly I made the post too soon. I plugged my old USB into a different computer and re-ran the "make bootable" script. I also updated the BIOS to a newer version and it booted without problems now.
  6. Diagnostics right here: unraid-diagnostics-20210509-1256.zip
  7. Hello good people of the Unraid forums! Absolute noob on his first server setup here. Ive been using unraid for a couple of weeks now, it has 99% of the time been a lovely experience. I am running UNRAID on a IBM X3550 M4, that has a ServeRAID M5110 card in it set in IT mode. (i will probably replace it with some sort of HBA board when I can find one I can afford) The server currently has 1x 1TB Seagate disk in it, as well as 1x 250GB Samsung SSD for cache. And here is the issue: Whenever I reboot the server, the 1TB disk is not always recognized. I also see that my UNRAID logs get filled up with the following line: May 7 20:05:17 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:18 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:19 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:21 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:22 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:23 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id May 7 20:05:24 Unraid emhttpd: device /dev/sdc problem getting id I have to pull out the disk from the server, re-insert it, then do the "new config" option in the Tools-tab to make it re-appear. I do not know why this is necessary and would much prefer not to. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks in advance!
