    I have a 'screen' from NerdTools, unlikely it will cause any issue (I used it merely when I did rsync to upgrade from reiser to xfs) Parity speed as well as stability is now back to normal since I downgraded to 6.3.5 Due to lock-up, to me it seems like something related to this Spectre fix

    The only thing there I have is CrashPlan docker & NerdTools Everything else is stock, can you elaborate what should I do/see then? It is a "production" system with all my data on it (albeit backed up in the cloud for most critical files), the parity halt raises an eyebrow.

    Not just GUI and SSH did not work, the parity process, which started after mounting due to the hard reboot, stuck after 5 min (!) I did not try safemode Besides the lockup, there is an obvious speed issue, could it be related to the recent cyber processor fixes? Do I need them at all?

    Thanks, that will resolve the console issue on IPMI, but what's for lockups? Am I the only one here?

    It is a lock-up, there isn't much I could do before hitting on the power button I have Supermicro X11SSH-F with Xeon E3-1270 V6 and 64GB Samsung ECC memory. Strange that when I connected to IPMI port, the console image was not shown as well (?)

    Continued: After reboot and mounting the array, started parity check. Noticed that ~180 MB/sec speed for 6.3.5 dropped to below 70 MB/sec in 6.4.0 But the system after 5 minutes locked up. Didn't see any lights of the working disks during parity process, and of course no network Some kind of lock-up Went back to 6.3.5 and re-run the parity check So far so good

    Hi I upgraded tonight to 6.4.0, played with it for half an hour yesterday and it was fine. This morning I couldn't connect, neither to SMB nor via web page Did hardware reboot What could be wrong?

    I have around 3TB/day while copying from reiser to xfs Source/Destination are both HGST 6TB disks (new) CPU is Xeon E3-1270 V6 with 64GB RAM HBA is Adaptec 1000-16i 12Gbps I see in Stats that CPU is mostly below 20%. And Disk utilization overall is 100 MB/s with sporadic peaks up to 200 MB/s

    Don't know what happened, but somehow after 10 minutes of copy MC decided finally to move whole bunch of files and finished immmediately

    There is docker info in these Apps, appdata folders.. how do I trash and overwrite the newly created (empty) folders in the root? Can I do that without stopping the array?

    Hi I forgot to use a trailing slash in the 'rsync -avPX /mnt/disk1/ /mnt/disk20/' command, as a result I created a root share.. What can I do? Move all the contents from the new subdirectory into root? The parity should be valid, right? The problem is that the disk now has /Apps /appdata /disk1 --/appdata --/Apps --/other-shares..

    As for VM testing, I would upgrade CPU to have at least 4 cores and adding more memory, 16 GB or more

    Yes! Adaptec 1000-16i works like a charm in 6.3.5 No firmware upgraded needed No firmware reflash needed Just connect the drives and stick it into your PCI slot

    Installed today Samsung chips - for the record these are Samsung M391A2K43BB1-CRC 16GB DDR4-2400 ECC UDIMM They even had a "Supermicro" sticker on them besides Samsung, Worked flawlessly

    I think I understand now, I did likely same mistake as with memory choice. Motherboard supports PCI and I have SATA III I ordered this thing StarTech.com 2x M.2 SSD Controller Card NGFF Card Adapter (PEX2M2)

    I installed today 16-port Adaptec https://storage.microsemi.com/en-us/support/sas/sas/aha-1000-16i/ Worked flawlessly with latest unRaid (6.3.5). Aka plug-n-play, no need to reflash anything

    Hi I have SanDisk 512GB X300s Single Sided MLC 80mm (2280) SATA III (6G) M.2 NGFF SSD. My Supermicro motherboard with M.2 connector, which supports "PCI-E 3.0 x2 M.2 cards in the 22x80mm" - does not detect it at all. Is it something in the BIOS I did not set, or I need now to buy a PCI adapter to fit this flash into the motherboard? If yes, then which one? thanks in advance, Michael
