Array not protected (after cowboy removing drive)
I found out the hard way indeed. Learing a lot here, and thats good, like commented in the above comment I am planning to replace some disks this year so will be reading more info about this.

Array not protected (after cowboy removing drive)
I only posted that because the other columns where empty. This is the full width version, and I do see the FS indeed. When I click the file browser it shows empty. When I check with Krusader it shows no data on disk 1. In the overview (screenshot) I do see 7GB used. Any idea where this 7GB is stored so I can move it to another disk before creating a new config? My goal was to not add a new drive at this moment. I want to upgrade to less but bigger drives this year.

Array not protected (after cowboy removing drive)
Thanks for the information! Just for my insurance, this even go's up when the array is set like this: Disk 1 is the disk in question. Planning to do the config tonight so hope that this is just it 😄

Array not protected (after cowboy removing drive)
Can it write data there when there is no drive in the computer? If so where does it write it to? Because when I say removed I mean removed it from the case.

Array not protected (after cowboy removing drive)
Hi all, last weekend I got a notification from Unraid that one of my drives had errors. Unraid (disconnected (don't know how to call this)) from the array. I directly used a filemanager tool to move all data from this disk to another disk. After this completed I removed the drive while updating the motherboard+processor (coincidentally this was already on my schedule). Now after everything is booted up again I did a array check all was fine without any errors but I noticed a orange triangle (array started, unprotected). After some google I found out the way I removed the drive is not the default way of doing. Oke, but how do I proceed from here? I think the next thing I will have to do from this point is the "New Config" step, but I'am not sure. So my question is it safe to do this from this point to get my array back to the protected state?

[Support] A75G Repo
Hi, maybe someone here can help me. I am running the Redis container on my Unraid installation. There were some issues with rights on installation/ boot of the container. I searched the fora's and found that the folders in the appdata had to be chown updated. I did this and redis worked for about a day. After that it crached giving the following issue: Already tried to also updated the chown on the /data folder this didn't work sadly. Checked the Github issues, and I found one similar issue that was closed without an answer. Anybody another idea?

Unraid crashes when using Win10 VM
Just now this happend to me for the second time, I am using my windows 10 VM (simpel web browsing not even gaming). Out of the blue my mouse and keyboard freeze. And the whole system just freezes. When I take my laptop and try to open the web dashboard remote I cannot access it anymore, also SSH access times out. The only way to get back is by manually resetting the whole server, after it boots up again VM's is diabled. Anyone else had this or an idea for a solution?

Passthrough boot issues
Another update: Removing the plugin/ driver did solve the starting of VM again. Unraid still does hang on boot on the above screenshot. Would be cool if this can be fixed 😄

Passthrough boot issues
Small update, looks like the usb controller from the error is the one of the videocard. Maybe this helps finding the solution?

Passthrough boot issues
Hi, so I tried booting the server again, removed the nvidia plugin now it doesnt install the driver anymore but it still hangs. So I may have been mislead be the driver installing just before hanging. (still learned I dont need the driver for now 🙂 ) So I am getting a few messages like: So I thought maybe the usb manager plugin could be the issue, tried removing it but still the same. Any thoughts on this?

Passthrough boot issues
Hi JorgeB, Thanks for the response. I didn't know that, I always had the driver installed with my gpu passed Through and never had an issue until yesterday. Could the be because of the latest update? For this moment its only one GPU, I do want to add another GPU in the future for plex transcoding.. Would there be a solution for that? So for now, I can just remove the plugin and this should solve my issue right. Do I need to remove the actual driver or will this happen when removing the plugin?

Passthrough boot issues
Hi there, I recently upgraded my hardware from my I7 to a 1920x threadripper. Everything went will and it was all working for 1 day (about 2/ 3 reboots done). Today I had to to a reboot because I wanted to do a passthrough of one of my nvme m2 drives. On boot it tried installing Nvidia driver and I got an error of some USB ports disconnected. It stays there. On that moment I am able to login the webpanel do everything (start array run docker e.g.) only the VM with the nvidia passedthrough is not working anymore. Also the nvidia driver plugins says it cannot detect the driver. What i tried: Switching drivers (nvidia) Undo NVME passthrough Remove and re-install nvidia plugin Removing usb devices Updated few days ago to latest version (6.11.0) The only way to fix boot hanging is by removing the nvidia passtrough from devices. Hope someone can help me fix this issue.

[Support] HaveAGitGat - Tdarr: Audio/Video Library Analytics & Transcode Automation
No problems here, I just started 2 days ago using this plugin. Also watched spaceinvaders tutorial, no reboot issues over here. Maybe you are using to mutch CPU? Or flooding ram (if you save cache to memory)?

[Support] HaveAGitGat - Tdarr: Audio/Video Library Analytics & Transcode Automation
Sounds good, I use my old 970GTX for the transcoding also works like a charm 😄 As for how long that would take, I really can't tell you! Just stated using TDarr yesterday myself. But I do know if you only convert to x265 without scaling you can use the GPU, and that will go a lot quicker than CPU ofcourse! I myself am looking for a way to Scale back to 720p (for some shows) with tdarr on the GPU, havent found that one.

[Support] HaveAGitGat - Tdarr: Audio/Video Library Analytics & Transcode Automation
Hi Gowthamn, the tool can be configured to change al non x265 videos to x265 videos. This will safe a lot of space. Only know that clients have a bit more work playing x265 video's so they need to be able to handle that, or you will have to use hardware transcode in software like plex

[Support] HaveAGitGat - Tdarr: Audio/Video Library Analytics & Transcode Automation
Hi, hope this is the right place to ask this! I started using Tdarr yesterday. The Idea is realy cool. Now I have setup a default transpiler that converts my vid's to x265, this runs on all GPU. That all works great! Now the next step I want to add is making a library with video's that I want to downscale to 720p. I got this working, but I cannot find a way to do this on GPU as well. What I found out so far are only ways doing this with handbrake and handbrake seems to only use CPU. Any one knows if this is possible on GPU as well?

PCI-E USB Controller
Hi there, I am looking for a bit of help in the past months I have been working with Unraid also using the VM function for day to day usage. Everything is working great. I have a Linux machine with GPU passthrough and installed on a dedicated SSD drive. The only problem I have is USB, I can't split up my onboard USB controllers to assign one or more ports to the VM. The problem with that is that I have to stop the vm assign a specific device and boot the vm again to connect a device. Now I tried to solve this by installing a PCI-E USB controller. It should be working with linux but ineed... It doesn't show up. I shipped it back for a refund. Now my question to the communtiy is, what PCI-E would work with unraid? Does anyone has experience with this?
