I have the array started again, it was for my cache pool, if i lost it because of name change it would have wiped all the appdata etc.. I was able to get it back by installing another plugin.

new delema now.... rebooted server and the cache drives names changed and wont start the array, and im not sure how to get the names to match especially without the unassigned devices plugin active for it.. when i went into disks under the plugin it shows nothing for drives and no ability to rename either. now system down..

but yet i still cant see anything for unassigned devices and i can not get a remote share connected.... including the latest Diag from right now.. maybe you see something i do not. IBM3650_Diag.zip

I have no issue with that.. however i had attempted to run this and lost access to file manager and reverted this version back but let see what it will do. stand by I will update and bounce it in a few min

after the clear you were correct the option to format shows now in the mian window at the bottom where the parity check is listed but because of the unassigned devices plugin not responding i can not format the drives indiviually. so i can not select the individual drive and modify

Correct. the status still has not changed, i have 0 remote connections and share set up.. i also removed the 8gig flash drive that was in addition to the Unraid flash drive... also removed the usb plugin's.. i have made drastic changes, removed plugin's and it still gives me the waves.

Noticed this : So I stopped the array, added 2 of them as they are similar 1 TB drives to the main array, and created a new pool device which was the 8 Gig USB drive.. now i no longer have any devices that are unassigned but i do not get the option to format the 2 (1TB Drives ) i just added to my main array.. it wants to clear instead. I removed any unassigned drives and rebooted. i even uninstalled the plugin /deleted the file for unassigned in the config folder and then re-installed.. same thing over and over. here is the new diag.

No that was a single disk i left unassigned as possible back up for a failed drive.. So you think the controller created a raid config of all those drives and is combining outside of unraid as individual disks? Is there any harm in resetting the cache pool and rebuilding the drives? (IE unmounting/ removing from cache pool and then formatting and reinstalling as new drive to cache pool?

Question, I did do a new config and my data and parity drives coming back online now.. but the pool for my cache drives dont show up , but they are all in the unassigned drives. they all show a mount point but do not show as a valid drive to use in the pool that was created. Screen shots to follow so you can see what im trying to get across .. But i can not assign the drives in the existing pool should i just format the cache? I dont think much was stored and then reassign them?

resurecting this but im experianceing the same issue after moving to 6.12 rc2 Suggestions? how to get them back to original names and what happened to my other drives? they show up as pool to be mounted ... my cache drives show like this: hpunraid-diagnostics-20230324-0705.zip

ver 6.12.0 rc2 on all 3 Servers, 1 that works kind of. where the shares tab used to allow me to browse by selection of action in the right hand collumn, and the other 2 that no longer work have no marking at all that file manager is installed. I have seen where certain plugin's have caused failure such as my dashboard would not show up until i removed the GPU info plugin.. so i think its possible that there may be an incompatible plugin still there.. but im not sure how to go about finding the cause. Is there a log that i can look at for the file manager to determin why its failed?

Server where it works but looks different Here I see the options to modify the folders And the Menu buttons are there But for the other 2 servers im running i get nothing. no file manager

Edit, Make that 2 of my servers having same issue. only one lets me look at the file structure. but still looks different Will reply to this with updated images Uninstalled plug in completely. Then re-installed after removing all refernce from config. But on my other 2 unraid servers after update to RC2, it still works as intended, however on this unraid server it wont show up on any of the menu's. i can not access or browse the folders, that option is not there. is there a quick fix? if you need further info I'll be glad to get it for you. I am sorry this is covered a lot. but what ive seen is everyone saying move the old drives over. well i cant do that . the new system is 2.5 Sas drives mixed with an external drive array... so it offers me up TB's of storage and upgraded CPU's in a server platform.. I'm looking for a way to duplicate all settings, installed software(dockers and plugins and then move the Pro license key drive to it.) is there a software solution? I'm a newb when it comes to linux and command line however not affraid to get into to it. is there a document out there or someone willing to take a little time and educate or work through it with me? New hardware is running a temp key and here are its specs.. Old systems are Dellr610 and IBM3650M3.. new hardware is going to be the HP Proliant G8.. any advice is appreciated.
