[Support] Backblaze 64: Backblaze Personal Backup 10.x (64-bit) under Wine
Thank you very much - that sounds really good and also professional! I only saw the wineHQ bug report sitting there and nothing happen, did not know what happens behind the scene. That Dasboard looks amazing! Can not wait to test that out too. This means, I will continue to play the waiting game :)

I really do not want to complain about your improvement. Actually its not even your cause - but wineHQ seems to not even look at the bug. If I scrool the Bug List, there are Bugs open since 2010. Chances you push an update yourself? Maybe on a side branch? Thanks foz!

[Support] Backblaze 64: Backblaze Personal Backup 10.x (64-bit) under Wine
Thank you - no idea what this command does (the yes > one) but before using it I had 50 threats, after it, it went up to 81. Maybe something that could be built in on start up to "get it going from the beginning?"

[Support] Backblaze 64: Backblaze Personal Backup 10.x (64-bit) under Wine
Yes - I deleted my old backup (did not think of inherit the state). The scanning took quiet some time - I let it run over night - I just let it do its thing. It scanned 274,855,068 MB (yes, the number is right), and also a lot of small files (1 Mio really small files). It progressed fastly towards the end and was stuck long there. Just give it time.

Could you please explain how to bypass the problem that the uploader thinks more threats are not necessary? I dont understand how to do that.

VirtioFS Support Page
Backblaze made an update to the client that is forced and now all mounted shares show as "not plugged in". Did Backblaze crack that down or does anyone have an idea whats going on?

Upgrading Parity Drive to bigger size without having unprotected array
Thank you - then all is clear. Tomorrow I will toss in Parity 2 (new precleared (as a strestest) drive) into parity 2 - once its fully rebuild as parity 2, i will remove the old parity 1 and set it as a data drive and at the same time add the new data drive. Thank you very much!

Upgrading Parity Drive to bigger size without having unprotected array
Thank you very much! Does it make a difference if I end with only parity2 instead of parity1? I read that parity2 uses a different calculation than parity1.I read somewhere that if you only have parity 2 the array will always show as unstable. But I have never had 2 parity drives. Indeed the preclear after removing parity is not necessary - I already stress tested those recertified drives. I wanted to do it to keep downtime minimal. I think I also read to clear a drive the array is not usable - and since 28TB took 30 hours to write all 0 I thought I might just use preclear to directly restart the array.

Upgrading Parity Drive to bigger size without having unprotected array
Dear Unraiders I am in the following situation: I have an array of 16 Disks with 1 Parity. I have a full Backup of the data but restoring would take a lot of time and costs involved. I would like to minimize downtime. The Array consists of 11 20TB drives and 5 16TB drives. The parity is 20TB. I bought 2 28 TB drives and they are precleared as a stress test. I want to add both drives to the array. Since the new drives are bigger than the current ones - I need to change the parity drive. I would like to to this without letting the array unprotected. If I understand the documentation correctly, it suggest to simply replace the parity drive and let it rebuild. This means the array is unprotected - which I dont want. Is this a possible (and safe) way to add the 2 28TB disks: Add 1 28TB disk as 2nd parity drive. Remove parity 1 and put the 2nd 28TB disk in - let it rebuild parity 1 (if a drive fails, I can simply rebuild since there is parity 2 right?) Preclear the old 20TB parity drive. Add it to the array Remove Parity 2 and restart the array Preclear Parity 2 Add the 28 precleared disk to the array as new data drive In my head, this way will take some time - but also should be the safest way right? Also in theory, I will have only 3 downtimes to add / remove the specific drives. Can I rebuild if Parity 1 is being rebuild and a data drive fails (in other words: Rebuild a data drive if I can only have parity 2?) Thank you very much for your help - I am also open to simpler solutions - as long as the array is protected. Thanks!

Problem with audiobooks / shares in Plex and Audiobookshelf
That is another good point though. My Setup is pretty complicated to be honest. I mount the unraid share in windows. In Windows I tag the files and move on the mounted folders. I could maybe to that and have 2 instances. But I think I will go like this: I change path in the tagger - and simply move audiobooks manually as befor. I am currently moving all music from /music archive/FLAC and /music archive/MP3 to /music archive/music/FLAC and /music archive/music/MP3. After that I change the path. All Audiobooks will go in a 3rd folder /music archive/Audiobooks. The Music Archive folder exists since 2001 and would not like to change that hahaha. When I tag now, it will go into .../FLAC or ../MP3 and there I move the audiobooks manually out. Thank you very much - I was overcomplicating things with the hardlinks ;)

Problem with audiobooks / shares in Plex and Audiobookshelf
I let them play by bluetooth from my phone with eighter PlexAMP or Buchable. Its a 13 year old car :) The only thing that I dont like is everystime I would tag something and automove in the same moment I would have to move it manually to the subfolder. In the past I just needed to move audiobooks. But I guess I will have to life with that workaround. Thank you very much!

Problem with audiobooks / shares in Plex and Audiobookshelf
I tag manually with piccard. I have a lot of FLAC and it moves into FLAC / MP3 folder automaticcaly (like Music/Flac/Artist or Music/MP3/Artist). Nothing automated on music/ audiobooks except the moving. I am very picky in this regard with my music. The thing is, there are some series where I like to have them within plex (short audiobooks for around 1 hour with more than 200 episodes - if you ever heared about "die drei Fragezeichen" or "John Sinclair"). Maybe it would be better to move everything into my audiobook folder then? This would mean I just would need after tagging to move them manually into Audiobooks. I often listen to them in the car with PlexAmp - that is why I would like to have them in both. But now thinking about it, I think I get what you say and like this I will still have everything in Plex and just the Audiobooks within Audiobookshelf. Or I could simply add a 2nd library in Plex too with just Audiobooks. That should work too Thank you very much for your input!

Problem with audiobooks / shares in Plex and Audiobookshelf
Dear all I have a big library of Audiobooks. Historically I put them all in my music folder with music. Now since Plex is not able to remember where I was (since it thinks its just music), I got Audiobookshelf installed. Now I have the problem: For Audiobookshelf I created a share Adiobooks/. Now I want to have my Audiobooks in both shares/ places. I cant simply import the share "music", since I don't want music in Audiobookshelf. I have a folder structure like that: "Music/Interpret". The reason is simply: My tagger automoves into my Music folder... So basicly: Music/ Music Artist A Music/ Audiobook A Music/ Music Artist B Music/ Audiobook B ....... Is there an easy solution to have only Audiobooks in both Locations? First I thought I might just use Hardlinks to have my audiobooks in both shares, but I dont want to update it everytime I add something (and furthermore I dont even know how to do it to be honest). Maye the community has a better Idea instead of hardlinks? What do you think - anyone that was in a similar situation?

After hardware update crashes
Ok so without XMP the first parity check corrected antoher 150ish errors. Another one after that showed 0 errors. it is stable now and runs very well. Thank you for the support!
-
After hardware update crashes
This is exactly what I did. With XMP 2 / 1 I got FAILED. I deactived it and the test PASSED. I guess the new mainboard and ram dont like each other with XMP. Since it passed I did a parity check again - once it finishes I will rerun one and see if there are still errors. Maybe this was the reason for the crashes. Edit: A full Parity check takes 2.5 days - I will report back once done!

After hardware update crashes
It runs stable now - but the parity sincy reported 166 errors. Could be sync it crashed a few times I thought. But new parity sync started jsut after the first reports again 15 Errors. I never had an error before. I guess something is still not right. Anyone some tips what to do?

After hardware update crashes
Thank you I will try So far no errors in the log - but I dont know if it runs stable. Also I saw that the boot log said to check the flash drive (boot drive) for errors. Did a ckdsk on it and it corrected / restored like 5 files. I will report back if it still crashes and or freezes

After hardware update crashes
Dear Unraid Users This weekend I updated my Mainboard, CPU, NVME and RAM. After the update I had some problems with my HBA, which did first not see the drives. I had to disable fast booting, after that the box booted up and all was fine. 2 Hours later the server got instantly out - puff. I checked all wires and everything, unplugged everything and plugged it in again. After that it was working. Now after severall hours the webui got unresponsive. I ssh'd into the server and all looked fine. So I rebooted the box - and this night again the same. I attacked the diagnostics - since I changed a lot of hardware - I have no idea where to beginn. Every help is appreciated - Thank you! igor-diagnostics-20240220-0535.zip

First time parity really slow - advice needed
Well, I run that node for over 3 years already with a cache drive - and it beginns to pay now The Idea of a separate ZFS array though would make sense. I might keep that in mind for the futur.
-
First time parity really slow - advice needed
Thank you very much for those informations. I guess I will just let it run then. Obviously, there is some "idle time" - but storj node runs 24/4 and is writting to the disks. Media center is up and someone of the family might watch. Backups from other boxes run at night already and so on. There isnt really a "from midnight to 6 am" idle window. So it might be smarter to just let it run and let it take a month to sync - and after that make a check every 6 months or so.
-
First time parity really slow - advice needed
basicly there is 24/7 use. I guess it will just run beside the operation. Or is there any harm if the drives spinn for that long?
-
First time parity really slow - advice needed
Thank you - so basicly parity is nothing for me (a normal 20 TB drive will take like 2 days I think I read). I cant stop everything for 2 days all the time.
