  1. Well crap. HBA card appears to be the issue. Won't negotiate more than 2x lanes. Swapped in a GPU and it connects fine with 4-16 lanes.
  2. Ok. That has pointed out the issue. For some reason the card is running at 5GT/s over 2 lanes... Odd. Time to start unplugging stuff I guess.
  3. As I said, It gives no option for that. Wait... I just found it. Why is it hidden behind a button?
  4. Not sure why you won't just accept that I have done it and per drive performance is fine.
  5. It doesn't give a controller option. All disks run at expected speed as per my original post.
  6. Hello all! Trying to diagnose why the performance of my setup is slower than expected. Have 10x 8TB SAS drives connected through a SAS expander to a typical LSI 8 Channel HBA. Previously when using SATA based driver performance was stellar and during parity operations I could achieve well over 1.5GB/sec With these SAS drives I appear to be hitting some sort of bottleneck. Only maxing out at around 900MB/s total transfer rate. Each drive when tested alone can achieve over 200MB/s. Adding 4 drives directly to the HBA and bypassing the expander shows no change at all. If I do a scrub of a set of 3 SAS 15K cache drives running on the same setup the speed of this is very slow. Once pausing the parity check the performance shoots over 700MB/s which is the expected speed of these drives. Have run out of things to try and am now here to find help! I hope someone can figure out where the bottleneck of my system is. Thanks all! Have attached diagnostics. big-server-diagnostics-20221022-0038.zip
  7. Have an issue where none of my disks spin down. Have only just started to use this feature as moved all my drives away from ZFS recently. Clicking the spin down manually button has no effect at all. Diagnostics attached. Any help would be terrific. Dell R740xd BTW. tower-diagnostics-20220718-1802.zip
  8. What I would love is the ability to transfer a licence to someone else. But I do not expect this to be free. A fee to do it would be perfectly fine. Limetech get a little money that way vs nothing at all with current setup.
  9. Updated my server recently and now when it tries to start it just resets the whole machine in a boot loop. Funny thing is though if i have it start in "GUI' mode it boots up and works perfectly fine. Any ideas info needed?
  10. I was actually able to import the pools fine and access the data just as you would any mounted drive. But i made a mistake of where i mounted the pools and they now overlap and don't work... Have to figure out how to stop it from mounting them on startup. Any tips? Ok got that sorted actually... Just imported the pools back into TrueNAS and Unraid allowed me to import them manually. Got rid of all my VM's and moved to dockers so now should be nice and easy to get this to work...
  11. Is there a way to import pools from TrueNAS 12.2? Plugin shows no pools. Would rather run my pools direct in unRAID instead of passing through my HBA into a truenas VM. Cheers! Nevermind.... Eventually figured it out. Had to import manually using the pool name... Now i just wish i knew how to pass the pool mnt's through to a VM...
  12. Well. That didn't help. I'm just going to start from scratch I guess...
  13. FFS... Stupid ubuntu server... Why are you loading a gui and it's set to sleep automatically?
  14. Ok now I am having an issue of the VM "pausing"... Best i can tell from googling this is caused by the disk being full. So expanded the disk in the unraid gui and followed through with that on the vm itself. Still pauses... What the hell is the go with this???
