On my gigabyte board I had to add "modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628" to my go file, so if you try to just type that in the terminal and see if your fans show up, thats all you need to do. Might be a diffrent ID for you, what does sensors-detect show?

Yes, I´ve ran sensors-detect! But i´m gonna try the NCT6687 plug-in!

Yeah, but I got an almost to good to be true deal on the board so I can live with this. Its just a "nice to have" to get it working.

Did not work. All I get is cpu temps and mb temps, no pwm controler.

The problem has something to do with that my MSI board uses nct6687d which is supposedly added to nct6683, but something with patches and something else fucks something up. It should be working but is not and I´m not 100% on the rest. I´ve tried modprobe-ing every possible thing I could think of but nothing works, both with (force_id=0xa20) and without. If anyone got any ideas im all ears!

Never mind! I got it! If anyone in the future run into the same problem as I did, stop the docker, add your 16 digit mullvad login to both your docker vpnusername and vpnpassword, then add whatever wireguard server you want to connect to in "\\yourserver\appdata\binhex-qbittorrentvpn\wireguard" and everything should work! At least it did for me!

Just a quick question, I´ve just switched from azirevpn to mullvad, what do I set as username/password within the docker? Nothing? I´ve tried using my # identifier for just username, and just password, and both, but nothing works. And yes, I´ve switched wg0 to the wg server I wanna connect to! And thank you @binhex for all your work! You are a fucking legend!!

Now that you mentioned it, I just got my ups and were running the built in ups deamon at first, but it did not handle "power off ups" well (instead of 60s it was 60min) so googled and it said your plugin would support it. All i know is that that deamon refreshed! If it never did refresh it´s not a problem report, more of a feature request😅

Dashboard and settings!

So I updated to 6.10rc4 and now the plugin doesn´t auto update on the dashboard, its just stuck at whatever powerdraw/time remaining it was at when i clicked on the page. If I update the page the nut plugin updates powerdraw/tr but then freezes again, and on and on and on. Not a big problem, just thought you should know!

A new question about HBA and expander cards, does the expander card use any pci-e bandwidth? The card I mentioned in the og post requires a 4x slot, but say I just got a 1x available, would I lose performance? I´m planning a mobo upgrade as well, but the one I´m looking at got 3 x16 (1x16 1x8 1x4) and 2 x1, I then got 2 GPUs as well, 1 for a VM and 1 for transcoding. Is it better to put the transcode GPU in a 1x slot or the SAS expander? What config is optimal with the above-mentioned parts?

I´m planning to expand my Unraid server beyond the capability of the number of mb sata, so I know I need an HBA. And since I´m planning for the future, I'm looking beyond the normal capability of an 8T HBA, but I´m a newbie rookie at this, so I need some input from someone who knows these things. The HBA I´m planning on buying is an LSI 9211-8I, with a Lenovo 03X3834 expander card. I´ve read that this combo (with the hba flashed to IT) should work flawlessly with unraid, however, I cannot find what cables to buy between the hba and expander card/expander card to my drives. The hba has SFF-8087 connectors, but I cannot find what the expander card has. It looks the same, but if someone could help me I would appreciate it! (again, this is all new to me, didn´t know about hba´s until a couple of days ago) Is it as simple as SFF-8087 to SFF8087 between the HBA and expander card, then SFF-8087 to sata from the expander to my drives? I´m running sata drives, and trying to do this as "cheaply" as possible.

No idé why it did´t work, had to copy - past from the running syslog into a new file to get it to upload. Luckily I read the syslog (mirror to flash) from the flash ( i turned off the server then put the flash into another pc and copied syslog, and read it) so i knew where it stopped. So syslog.belk.txt is an exact copy to when it crashed this morning. Per usual it took almost all of my lan connected devices with it, and locked them until I rebooted the server.... syslog.belk.txt

I had configured syslog wrong, but its working now. This is the output between the 2 latest crashes: For some reason im unable to upload my syslog. I´m getting "Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file. (Error code: -200)" tried changing the name and added .txt and still the same error.

It "works", but I always gotta select the "OS disk"(OS disk being High Sierra) on boot, and cannot set it as a "mac pro" or any other mac in opencore configurator.

I dont know, but figured it would work as I set the templet to High Sierra. Pretty sure I´m wrong tho, as it wont work....

Yeah so I´ve been following your macinabox guide, and everything "works" as far as getting to the desktop, but I gotta choose the "hdd" I wanna boot from every time I boot the vm. I Know I´m doin something wrong, but as per your guide I copied "EFI" and "NvVars" onto the the only hdd that matched your description. Quick help is appreciated! (High sierra ((my oldest gpu is a 1050ti and I wanna give it a shot)) and same hdd that the "EFI" folder is in was not empty by default)

I can change between my 1660ti and 1050ti like I´m supposed to, but Nothing is working for my igpu. For shits and giggles I swapped my transcode gpu (1050ti) with my working win11 gpu (1660ti) and it was plug and play. De-select for unbind my 1660ti, bind the 1050ti, reboot, and swap in plex docker/win11 vm. Probably gonna stick with this setup since I rarely game on that vm, and IF I want to, its an easy swap. Just upset cuz I planned on using igpu for win11 vm and something different for my 1050ti, but you cant have it all I guess.

I´ve never gotten a seabios vm working on the hardware I´m running now. Still get no input on the display as soon as I try to start the vm with igpu connected. I´ve rebooted the server so I can see when it goes black. Starting to give up hope on this, and regretting not going ryzen.......

Update, ever since I set up the syslog server, nothing has happened..... I´ve manage to induce an smb lockup, and had to use "fuser -km /mnt/user" to release it, reboot and that was 5 days ago. Been running 24/7 since. Same daily backups to my nas, same weekly backups of appdata, and same daily reboot of my network (routers and switches etc). I´m starting to suspect that its some kind of voltage drop on my 230v mains line. I don´t have an UPS yet (on the top of my to get list), but i´ve had other things freeze at the same time. My synology nas and main router has freezed at the same time as my unraid server just froze and stopped working, but it doesn´t always do that either. Could just as easy be that the unraid server is throwing network errors and crashing stuff. I´ve been in this apartment for 6 years now and never had this problem before, but the recently booted up a major battery factory next door.

I´ll give it a try, but when I first setup my windows vm I had hella problem just getting it to work period, so I tried every combination of ovfm/seabios/i440fx/q35 that is possible until I landed on the setup I´ve got working now with the 1660ti, everything else gave errors or blackscreens. Thats why i tried with a linux vm, (in the past they have been more forgiving about the specific setup, working with just about any config i´ve tried), but even that wont work! But I´ll give seabios a go on both windows and linux and report back!

Tried it now, no change. If I edit any existing vm I get "XML error: Attempted double use of PCI Address 0000:00:02.0" but if I take the same vdisk and create a "new" vm with exactly the same everything, except from setting Intel uhd 750 as vga and audio, I´m able to create the vm with the gpu "connected", but as soon as I try and start it the screen just goes blank and I get "no input". I´ve tried creating a new vm with manjaro (had luck with manjaro previously) but same thing there. If I edit the vm "attempted double" and if I remove it and create a new one with uhd 750 as vga/audio from start, i´m able to start it but no output.
