  1. So sorry it takes me 3 or 5 days to get on this cause i travel for work, so i checked if i backed up everything from my other old rig plex and unfortunately i did not, I started fresh and dragged everything in there. I ran some repairs a while back but the restarting kept happening, i do have a lot of appdata now backed up. open to any instructions or suggestions thanks for working with me.
  2. Ok so i didn't add plex and i just put other dockers randomly in it left it on for a week and it ran fine so this points to two things the Plex docker or the unraid OS now..... what should i do i have a heavy plex with almost 300tb of data would kill me to reorganize this again.
  3. Apologies i was away in another country for a month ia m back and going to check and try to see if thats the cause, So run a trial version of unraid with none of the setups?
  4. syslog-192.168.1.217.log Can't figure this out i tested all the hardware and everything is responsive and functional outside the unraid but within it keeps crashing and this started after the upgrade of the UNRAID OS, am i not spotting something here?
  5. Hmmm ok so i guess i'll look into the hardware for now thank you so much!
  6. syslog-192.168.1.217.log Thank you all for your patience sorry about that had a busy week, managed to create the syslog, i am reading this but i am a noob so can anyone find anything within here?
  7. Apologies was away for work I will attempt the syslog setup today and tomorrow and will update this thread thank you, tested the ram everything seems fine but will try to check everything here.
  8. Hello, Thanks for taking the time to try here and help me here. No i have not install syslog server? is there a guide would that assist me out?
  9. I have noticed a weird issue now with my new unraid setup, it was working quite fine for some time. I updated it and then now suddenly when transferring files or sometimes updating things the server will just restart on it's own and then run a parity scan. Not sure if I may have added a setting by accident or i have something turned on but I would like my server to stay on always without any issues and when transferring things i do it in bulk and the random restarts ruins the transfers causing me lots of work. Thanks for taking the time to assist let me know what I can do to figure this out together <3 tower-diagnostics-20260111-1459.zip attached is my diagnostics
  10. OMG THIS IS THE FIX, i fixed the nvidia setup parameters and i deleted the codecs, everything is now playing no matter what format and how long thank you so much for this but any suggestions to improve my plex and server capabilities and enjoyment?
  11. restarted my server and now all videos are now all showing black.
  12. I tried the runtime, it would break the docker, i also am having issues with getting unraid connect to work too, lots of things going on i don't understand, but lets stick to plex for now this is the error i get when i add the following to plex. I also do have Plex Pass forever. this time it worked after i restarted it 5 times, but here is the issue still i cannot play stranger things, video is MKV format, and in my other plex it had no issues at all playing these or allowing them to run. I appreciate the help of course, If anyone else got any ideas let me know, also if there is a file converter that is automatic and suited for plex i am open to that, if it keeps the files subtitles and everything attached.
  13. I recently built a new Unraid server with completely new parts, and for some reason Plex refuses to transcode anything. My old Unraid server had no issues playing my shows, but this new setup has better specs and components, yet it cannot play almost half of my library. I enabled transcoding in Plex, but it never actually transcodes. It always tries to direct play, even though the settings are correctly configured to allow transcoding. Because of this, many of my shows either fail to start or go into an endless loading loop. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would really appreciate it. I have been trying to watch several shows and the server just will not work properly. I also had to reset my folder properties cause i was having issues accessing certain things, i think i fixed most of it but i am quite unsure.tower-diagnostics-20251128-0140.zip Plex Media Server Logs_2025-11-27_22-40-07.zip

  17. I copied and pasted it to this section but its giving me a couple of options but nothing is happening, even put the letter according to what the drive is. not sure if I am doing this right
  18. would i do this in maintenance mode? for each drive? just type exactly that? Just want to make sure where I am putting this and thanks for a swift reply.
  19. Sorry got caught up with extreme adulting today ugh, here are the photos I took, theres times it won't boot up at all and stay black, then it gives me the gpt error and i have to unplug each sata cable, and then even when boot overriding it goes into a loop.
  20. Will do Once I am home thanks for the quick replys I will drop it in here 7 Hours
  21. Yes I can confirm that the bios is set to boot off the usb and in UEFI mode.
  22. Hello, Recently Upgraded my server specs to ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 , Version Rev 1.xx Motherboard and better CPU and more. I noticed with this new motherboard It gives me trouble booting to the unraid server. Would give me gpt header corruption and would just cycle to the bios. Only way I can boot to the unraid server is by first unplugging all my drives and leaving them unplugged and then starting it off the usb and then replug each and every drive. I did not have any issues with the server previously like this. I attached the diagnostic file but also I noticed my servers is also not working now and nothing has changed within the network. I have not rebooted the server but I am afraid to because of this GPT issue of booting which I never seen before. Would love if anyone can help open to many suggestions I never seen a motherboard forcefully do this so I am not aware what would be the next step. retroshare-plex-diagnostics-20230222-0918.zip
  23. Alright so far everything is way better now and the parity only took 2 days to be done which is amazing, now the GPU is my problem everytime i try to setup a VM so i can do the passthrough trick it just freezes and then i have to completely restart the server in order to try again its frustrating and i can't get it to work without freezing the server. I also cannot stop it or start it only force stop nothing else works pretty much just impossible.
  24. Yes i tried to setup a gpu to assist with the plex transcoding but im still learning how to do that so far the parity check runs well imma keep an eye on it for a week
  25. Sorry for the long wait on this issue! so I managed to get everything during Amazon Prime day, got new Sata Cables, 3 new 16tb HDDs, and also a New Power supply with straight forward sata cables straight to the power supply no adapters. Cleaned cpu and reapplyed new thermal. Added a rtx 6600 graphic card that I need to setup somehow through VM ware i keep getting a error 127 when trying IDK. and then I also got the asmedia adapter replacing the marvell one. Last I added 3 new fans into the system for more air flow and cleared and cleaned every spot and nook and cranny. So i did all the changes and I am getting less reports on the unraid page and here is a updated diagnostic. I did do a parity test which I will do at 3am until 11am when no one is using the plex. But i think most things are running better if anyone can confirm let me know <3 retroshare-plex-diagnostics-20220722-2054.zip
