after few test. I unplug my FAN5 and FAN6 and did a "ipmitool bmc reset cold". They are the one who hitting a lower critical NR and I fall on another issue... this time its FAN ABC who are stuck at 7200rpm while FAN 1234 are at normal RPM....

Hello, little update from my issue with IPMI plugin I find out the polling Temp stop when there a Critical issue in the Event Logs and after I cleared the warning, it doesnt restart... and for unknown reason, there 1 sometime 2 fans been detected at 0 RPM. and After after that. it show weird warning like when the RPM are around 1 200 RPM even if the Lower CT is set at 200 or 300 rpm, it appear in the Event Log. I disabled the HDD Spundown option to test if is that option who put my fan to 0 RPM while switching to another sensor. I got one question -> How do I restart the polling temp? it seem stuck at the last configuration showed in the ipmifan.log and no update appear in this log since the Critical Warning. Thanks

nevermind... I think I found my issue... I Cleared the Event Logs in the plugin -> Readings -> Event Logs -> Clear ALL seem I need to clear there too, not only in the IPMI at the moment it seem to work, they all slowed down

Hi guys, I recently updated to the newer version 2025.01.26c was on 2025.01.21 and after the update, the fan control doesnt work anymore.... all my fans are stuck at full speed... I am trying to find the issue since this morning and I think its a bug in the plugin and not in my setting... I did reboot, BMC cold Reset, reset the thresholds of all my fans (mix of Noctua and SuperMicro loud fans) and even if my CPU or HDD Temp are under my setting (25 degree after a reboot) with the Fan control Enable, all fans are at their max RPM There no Fans on Critical State, all are Normal State The only way I can slow them down is by putting the Fan Control at OFF and going in the IPMI to change the Fan Mode to Optimal Need some help uhuh so tell me what logs you guys need and I will post it ** in the ipmifan.log ** we can see it try to slow them down to 5% but unsuccessful and the next polling (set at every 1 minute) seem never happen also UnRaid version = 6.12.15 IPMI plugin version = 2025.01.26c Last working IPMI Version = 2025.01.21 Thank a lot

Hi, Goodjob and thanks for your Cache Mover. after few test I fall on some issue 1. Cache Mover -> Work for my TVshow but seem not work for my movies... probably because of my folder structure maybe? -> /Media/Plex/Movies/A/A movie name, /Media/Plex/Movies/W/W movie name <- I sort every movies in a Alphabetic folder 2. after more than 24h, it don't moving the TVShow back to Array... stuck in the cache. Do I need to do something with the Mover Tuning or it suppose to do it automatically? 3. I set my cache dir to -> cache <- but in the log, the only movie it moved to cache, he sent it to -> /mnt/cache3/Media/Plex/Movies/** and cache3 doesnt exist.... 4. Do I need to set my /Media folder to Cache -> Array. It was in Array only Thanks

for that use case, do the Array on the second Unraid server where I want to use the Block device in the Array/pool must be Started first for the iSCSi Initiator plugin to be active and connect to the target?

yeah so I can use the LUN Block Device in my second server Unraid Array?! but of course that mean this Storage server need to be Online first otherwise the other Array won't start up ok thanks a lot, that will change a bit how I will do my project

No, I mean I want to turn this UnRaid array into a Target. Both Server will be a Target Yeah some kind of that. one server will be a Storage archive where I will store all the files (ex. for Plex) and the other one will use for the downloader app (qbit, and others thing, etc). Accessible between them and my window machine for some random personal stuff to store in them. Thanks

Hi, like everyone, new to ISCSI World lol I got few question that I need some help 1. What is Best to use with ISCSi Block on UnRaid since is not part of the parity? I guess I can't use the LUN Disk in my UnRaid Array!? Use Raid Software, Raid Hardware (got MegaRaid with fastpath licence on my supermicro 4u server) or SnapRaid if I want to use it like UnRaid Array. 2. I have another UnRaid Server using the Array on XFS-Encrypted. What would be the best way to turn it into ISCSi? upload on my newer server, format and use disk as Block in ISCSi? or I can just unassign it and put it as disk when creating my target? 3. With Block, can we increase the Size when we add more disk to it? I am confuse about this... google find multiple answer like no its not possible and others say yes is possible... what is the real answer? don't want to screw it up lol 4. What is the Write Protect? is it useful for Block using? And also I have a bug on my newer server on UnRaid v6.12.14 -> I am unable to Add devices. In Devices -> I check on the first one and it auto select all the available disk. after I Click on Add/Remove as Selected Button -> got the popup saying Adding Block and few second later it disappear, all selected device return to unselect and can't select them in Initiators. Been able to add them one by one with targetcli only. With v6.12.4, the GUI to Select all drives work #1 with same plugin version. I tried to reboot the server and redownload the plugin and still same issue. Also tried on another browser.
