  1. im thinking it is strictly a docker issue and the reason why im seeing an issue with HA vm is becuase im using proxy docker. ive logged into unraid one or twice and all the dockers ar missing and then they come back a second later but i didnt see any error messages on logs other than the following message May 14 15:25:06 Tower root: jackett: Could not download icon May 14 15:25:21 Tower root: readarr: Could not download icon also just had these logs come up May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: docker0: port 8(vethc7db153) entered blocking state May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: docker0: port 8(vethc7db153) entered disabled state May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: device vethc7db153 entered promiscuous mode May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: eth0: renamed from veth187f162 May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): vethc7db153: link becomes ready May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: docker0: port 8(vethc7db153) entered blocking state May 14 16:19:12 Tower kernel: docker0: port 8(vethc7db153) entered forwarding state May 14 16:19:14 Tower avahi-daemon[6472]: Joining mDNS multicast group on interface vethc7db153.IPv6 with address fe80::38bb:6fff:febd:7a68. 2. intermittent disconnect from plex and home assitant VM but blueriris VM unaffected (logs inlcuded ) only past few days i started noticing disconnection messges when viewing home assistant on my phone and then cousin told me plex was acting up and i checked it it did it for me a couple of times. it seems to disconnect and quick come back. it seems all of docker is restarting but i dont see any logs showing an issue with docker tower-syslog-20230514-2024.zip
  3. i ran a a scrub on my cache and there are two sum errors as followed. im still planning to check my ram but how would i go about fixing these two errors. thanks for all your help seriously Feb 11 17:51:15 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): checksum error at logical 2698108928 on dev /dev/nvme0n1p1, physical 3780239360, root 5, inode 1940084, offset 241664, length 4096, links 1 (path: appdata/Plex-Media-Server/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache/PhotoTranscoder/13/13de9ae68384613393144234150ab4036dad2d7d.jpg) Feb 11 17:51:52 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): checksum error at logical 306195025920 on dev /dev/nvme0n1p1, physical 149437108224, root 5, inode 136074, offset 1825181696, length 4096, links 1 (path: domains/Windows 10/vdisk1.img)
  4. that would be it then. thanks . ill take half the sticks out of the server and start testing them separately one by one in another test machine. thanks for the help
  5. ive never been able to perform memtest since i upgraded to new server . when i go into bios and try to perfrom memtest it just gets stuck on the memtest page and never actually does anything
  6. good everning. all of the sudden my unraid has crashed past few days after no issues for past 100 or so days . im thinking its an nvme error . stopping and restarting the array fixes it . ive included the logs. thanks tower-syslog-20230208-1809.zip
  7. i was able to find them . i cant figure out why it would not let me sign in tower-diagnostics-20220920-1710.zip
  8. i had a random crash last night and tried installing syslog local and saved on disk. today i was unable to use the WEBGUI but everything was working as far as dockers and VM. i was able to SSH into and reboot and start the array and dockers came back on but not VM im not sure if i have it to autostart but im sure i do . i try to start VM to SSH and it says cant load config file '/etc/libvirt/virtlockd.cong no such file exists no imahe mounted at /etc........... i tried to restart nginx per a spaceinacder video saying this could be causing webgui to not load but ssh says its shutting down gracefully but never updates.. i was able to create a diagnostic file through ssh but not sure how i can access it any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  9. okay i will check into this as soon as i finish running the tests . thank you
  10. im sorry i missed your post. if its not too much of a hassle. how would i run memtest on unraid. thank you and sorry again for not oroginally seeing your reply EDIT: im guessing i can just pick memtest86 from the bios startup. one question , does mem test only test ram memory. if so, do you guys think that the btrfs errors in the nvme is caused by ram or does the memtest also check nvme . thanks again
  11. updated to 6.11rc4 with i-5 12600k alder lake cpu and finally got transcoding working but as soon as i try to transcode multiple streams i get cache btrfs errors and shuts down everything running off the cache pool. cache pool is twin crucial 1tb nvme in raid 1 . this is the relevant part of diagnostic and i also uploaded full diagnostic below https://pastebin.pl/view/2df7ed41 tower-diagnostics-20220909-1804.zip
  12. okay now i habe plex transcoding but if i can bother you fine gentlemen one last time . i had plex crash but it also took down the VM so im thinking i have an issue with the two new NVME drives i have as cache which im also using to transcode and hole my VM .. i will post full logs but this is what i saw. just asking how i can go about diagnosing this and fixing it. two brand new nvme 1 tb each i guess they go in as raid 1 Sep 9 16:42:51 Tower kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme1n1p1): block=520864874496 write time tree block corruption detected Sep 9 16:42:51 Tower kernel: BTRFS: error (device nvme1n1p1) in btrfs_commit_transaction:2418: errno=-5 IO failure (Error while writing out transaction) Sep 9 16:42:51 Tower kernel: BTRFS info (device nvme1n1p1: state E): forced readonly Sep 9 16:42:51 Tower kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme1n1p1: state E): Skipping commit of aborted transaction. 13. somehow in all the madness i thought i no longer needed that input but after putting it in i finally have transcoding . thank you
  14. im on rc4 and im using plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass. and i have se it at beta . i had to physically remove the nvidia gpu to at least have alder lake gpu show up in statistics plugin. once i choose it in plug in i dont see any action it shows zero watts even though when i console inteltop i can see some watts used. before i removed the nvidia gpu i tried to set all the console comands a few page back which had me enter a set of commands to save something like chmod becuase one of the users had issues and was instructed to ALSO do that. now im not sure if that did anything bad while i was trying to fix it . when i was trying those commands it was becuase i could not get igpu to show up on gpu statistics
  15. i-5 12600k okay so i have the plexpass docker container and added: plexpass , ive set plex to beta and restarted the container. i followed the guide for the gpu transcoing . ive installed the intel gpu top driver and i cant seem to get hardware transcoding. i can console intel gpu top and see the gpu but i dont have it as a dropdown menu in the GPU statistics plug in like i do my nvidia gpu . is there any troubleshooting i can do . thanks in advance
  16. okay i will try this , i think my docker image might have been messed up when the cache drive got messed up, ill try and check thanks
  17. im sorry but which files inside the diagnostic folder would help narrow down the issue . ive included the whole zip folder . thanks in advance tower-diagnostics-20220906-1649.zip
  18. new to alder lake CPU. i upgraded from i5-8400 to 12600k and have had a horrible time getting my system back up and running. im a noob so ive made some mistakes. from the moment i started the server i had issues with docker containers hanging up and not shutting down mainly nzbget. it would hang up and eventually bring the whole system down . i even went as far as installing all new docker containers and at least my whole server is still running but i ran into same issues with nzbget where it just wont shut down and i have a cpu core 4 pinned to 100 since this. only way to stop it would be to reset whole server .
