  1. Now I'm seeing interface ethernet port 2 is down check cable! I'm not using that interface though???
  2. I'm getting an error on my vpn after changing my network settings on my server. I changed the primary dns server from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.2 which is supposed to be hosting a dns server that lives in a docker container. Since this docker container is on br0 it's inaccessible from the vpn. I was getting dns errors on my vpn. I changed the primary dns back to 192.168.0.1 but i'm still getting those errors from my phone on wireguard. Also at the bottom of the unriad network settings I'm seeing Interface Ethernet Port1 is down. Check cable!. The thing is There couldn't possibly be anything wrong with the interface because i'm literally connected to the server right now??? I am very confused and would like some help
  3. I've set up an adguard container with a custom ip at 192.168.0.2 and I want to use it as a dns server for my phone to block ads (as well as another dns server for ssl purposes set as an upstream dns server) when i'm on the go. Unfortunately it seems that wireguard can't see docker containers with custom ip addresses. I've set my static route as such destination: 10.253.0.0 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.0.166 from my router. In the wireguard settings i've selected No for Local server uses NAT. Despite this i'm still unable to reach my dns server container from my phone using my vpn peer. And now that i'm getting into ssl certificates since I'm trying to set up PhotoPrism with my phone (and the app i'm using on my phone requires ssl) it's all the more important that I'm able to get my phone to be able to see my custom dns server from abroad
  4. I'm unfamiliar with server hardware in general but most of the controllers from that list have sata ports on the card itself. I need one that'll be compatible with my sas backplane for my r710. Should any sas compatible raid controller work?
  5. I recently bought an r710 that doesn't have a raid controller. (The seller tells me it didn't come with one) I was doing some reading on which raid controller to buy that supports JBOD. Unfortunately it looks like the PERC raid controllers don't expose JBOD to the host system. I was wondering if there was some sort of controller that could support high capacity drives that also supports JBOD and works with the r710 out there.
