  1. I was just researching this, the molex spec says 11A per pin, a single Exos X20 requires 9.8W let's assume it draws everything from the 12V that's 0.833 A. Meaning one molex connector could theoretically drive 13 drives at once, I would not drive more than 10 or 11 at once, to keep a margin of error.
  2. Do I need to open torrent nat ports or anything?
  3. I know, it's just for testing purposes
  4. I allready have a "working" sample in a vm. I created a new VM (yes inside the unraid vm) with a secondary image file that resides in a cache only share. But I didn't use Bcache but FS-cache but I cannot speak for performance yet
  5. Just gave it a try and it does not work, maybe I can create a vhd on the cache drive and mount that to use as bcache
  6. Hi, I am testing Unraid and want to partition the cache drive, so the 1TB ssd could also be used in VM's for temp directories and as a bcache but every time I partition the drive with fdisk I get "Unmountable: Unsupported partition layout". Any ideas why?
  7. And if it does what happens? Just curious
  8. So, I want to build a nas using unraid and I am in the planning phase. The Question is as follows, Can I put 2x8TB drives start adding data and when my 10TB drive empties add it as a parity drive? How would it work if I added a 16TB drive and a 10TB parity? I recall reading somewhere that the 16TB would be limited to 10TB, is it still true? I have a 3TB, 4TB and 10TB drives with data on my pc and I am trying to figure out how to expand (>10TB) and add a parity drive without buying over a 1000 euros of HDD's...
