Thank you for helping so far but no dice. I checked that and even tried it one of the array drives /mnt/disk2/backup It did the first time after I updated it from the old ver then I tired importing a VM got part way and crashed. I restarted and now will not start at all.

I just installed 5.05 and the vbox upgrades and now the vboxwebserv will not start. It tries to start when I hit the button them comes back not running Where do i look next to trouble shoot?

Yes, I use your plugin in simple features. It will not install virtualbox eddons saying that vboxmanager is missing. I looked on the file system and there is not a /root/.virtualbox directory on it.

I am looking at the error messages on the screen after trying to install virtualbox. The addons fail saying that vboxmanage can not be found. Virtualbox portion installs fine but not the addons. This on 5.0.3 with the latest install of virtual box John

I am using simple features plugin. it is saying it is simlinked to another dir I just removed that and restarted and is still doing the same thing. So close

I did not upgrade unraid. It is still on 5.00 final. I upgraded the virualbox and virtualboxphp. I tried on the old php.config file and hs the same problems with making 2 changes in the sample. one for authencation and the other for server address. I can start the virtual machines in the simple features gui but on the the dedicated webpage. John

I upgraded to the latest version. I also upgraded phpvirualbox and now the web page for phpvirual box will not start. It has a spinning circle in the middle saying loading. I made 2 changes in the config file. no authenication and the ip address of server. Is there anything else that needs to be changed when upgrading?

I thought it was a good idea to have 2 times the free space availble as the largest file on the drive. That was for repairs of files by checking program.

WOW I love UNRaid I shutdown checked cables and restarted. All is well now, no rebuild or hokus pokus needed. That makes 3 times I would have lost it all with raid 5 system. John

I plan on shutting down the system and checking cabling for power on those drives. rebooting and then doing a smart test on both drives. They both fail now. stop the array and do a reiserfs test to see what is happening. Very fustrating as the server has been running for 3 years now with a few problems. One drive dies but rebuilt wrong with lots of reiserfs errors. Some data loss. One drive died and then one fell out of the array, No data loss there. A few dead drives one at a time with normal rebuilds. Nobody every said this was cheap having a home server with lots of TB of storage. John

More info here I think it is a power spliter that is flackey. My question is that UNRaid still thinks all the drives are ok. Why? None of them have red balled yet.

Since he is replacing a drive in the array it will need to rebult it anyway. No formating needed. I assume that there is data on the 1 tb drive that needs to be rebuilt. John

I got most of it worked out now. We server is running. When I go to tower:18083 it has the soap error. What do I configure to fix that? I can taste it now I am that close.

I am trying to load up php but I can not find the php.ini file listed where others have it. There is nothing in the /boot/config/simplefeatures folder except for stats and webserver. In simple features settings for webserver it shows as running now after modifing the .plg file for webserver. So close here.

Has functionality changed since 5RC. I just upgraded to 5.0 final and I am seeing this exact message when trying to create new shares. only a few a top level dirs create user shares. This system was upgraded from 4.7 this week. The movies share has only 2 disks listed in it but should have 8. john

As it turns out I had not copies ALL of the required files over or has some the old ones in place. I copied all the files in the new config folder and it is working now. Thanks
