  1. I backup my UnRAID server. I trust nothing. Just me, but get a router of your own. Some like pfSense, or Opensense, or Unifi, or etc... Everyone else has offered very good advise. MrGrey.
  2. Why?... Why?... OK... I'll bight, and you're using pfSense for what? That's what I do... Oh shit, I've given myself up, haven't I? Are you sure you want to? MrGrey.

    Hello!

Hello @rgreco, Everyone is new, just ask trurl. 😀 MrGrey.
  4. Don't (listen to PSYCHOPATHiO). Then do it. MrGrey.
  5. Backup. Maybe? Backup. Once you absolutely know you have EVERYTHING on a BACKUP then you're good to go. Clear as mud MrGrey.
  6. I might be angry if my drives spun *down*. (they should run 24/7 whether their needed or not) Bump? MrGrey.
  7. A restart will probably fix things (not that restarting is a good thing/solution). Your Unraid is running on? You're accessing it on? I'm not, but I'm not you. It can be very difficult to test things "inside" and "outside" your "house." Do you have a VPN to test things? MrGrey.
  8. Calm down and take your time... really! I can't offer much more than that... sorry. MrGrey.
  9. Can you confirm that? It always does, usually. I have not. I do use some different containers. I might query your proxy-manager? MrGrey.
  10. I'm not really strong on IPV6. I have it disabled. Bump? MrGrey.
  11. I don't use VMs in UnRaid. Can you log into your router? Do you know what your router is? I don't want to be condescending. Just trying to help. MrGrey.
  12. Take a stab at configuring OpenVPN as a backup. It might become your main, or just a backup. I mostly dropped wireguard after doing similar. MrGrey.
  13. Share to hearts content. It's called Github. MrGrey.
  14. When was the last time that it worked properly? MrGrey.
  15. I have no "logs" button in the upper right corner? Can you be more specific? MrGrey.
  16. Go back to the old case and start over. MrGrey.
  17. Can you plug anything into that 3.1 port and have it recognized? MrGrey.
  18. I can't be certain and I'm really not very smart, but (like people trying to run pfSense 🙄) have you tried to run things that conflict with one another? Be honest. Time to stop cut/paste and build something that works. You are smarter than most. I would recommend loosing all VM and see if pure Unsaid (<- that's UnRaid spelled properly?) will work. [Doesn't anyone have control over spelling in this place?] MrGrey.
  19. You're an AI. Sorry, if you're not. I'm slow. MrGrey.
  20. Maybe start again from "scratch" 🙂 I don't mean to be mean, but isn't it better to start again after only 3 months? (I did) MrGrey.
  21. In my experience (less than yours), any shutdown of UnRaid not specifically done from the UI (don't know about CLI <-- see previous six words) will start a parity check. I'm very lucky to have a UPS (does nothing if software sucks). I'm lucky to have good hardware that I trust. Renovations (common)... I stop the parity check and wait (every month -- pain in the ass) for the next one. I don't suppose I'm helping unless you trust your hardware. I don't trust UnRaid (that's why I backup), BUT!... It's never failed me. Double back and look at those last four words. MrGrey.
  22. I wish I could spend a few weeks setting up, "my Dell RX730d." You'll get it. Bummer you can't blame the hardware. MrGrey.
  23. You sound like an AI, but I'll bight... You can't have a "separate admin network/interface to access..." anything if you're using your ISP gateway. You have to have your own router. MrGrey.
