    XBMC

My Zotac just got here... trying to find all the spare parts I have lying around to stuff them in I really need to learn XBMC or something.
  2. True, I wanted quiet with great air flow. They seem to do the trick.
  3. I used these in the fan bracket: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608004 And these for the back: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608006 Seem to be working well now that I turned my fan bracket around

    XBMC

I just added a 2nd Boxee Box. Frankly it's getting better all the time and I really like it.
  5. And probably only playable back on the system that recorded them.
  6. Grrr... have to haul it out again then. I need a quick release system At least it confirms my suspicions. I was worried that moving them back would reduce the cooling but I can't live with them like this.
  7. Ok, so I got the 120mm fan plate and some 120mm fans. Here's the issue... how do all the cables actually fit! I put the fans in the same way as the ones I took out, which puts them right up against the power plugs and SATA cables. No way I can turn this on without it chewing up wires. Should I put the fans on the other side of the plate instead so it is now between the fans and the wires? I've got plenty of room on that side, but I was trying to duplicate the old fan plate. Getting tired of taking it in and out
  8. It shows as available but if you add to your cart it says out of stock.
  9. I chatted with a fairly nice CSR. She said their systems show it discontinued and OD will not get any more stock. She did offer to place an in store order for me at the BF price, I just have to drive 20 miles to pick them up. *shrug* I guess I will.
  10. They absolutely are screwing with us. You can order it right now, it is in stock online. They have no reason not to fill the orders now other than they hope we will give up and cancel them.
  11. No one has bought them yet... Raj, are you going to take them since I haven't heard from fitbrit?
  12. Hrm... how the heck do you patch your drives in unRaid? Pull them and patch on another machine, then put them back?
  13. You could if you mounted it inside the case with velcro.
  14. Plus with the 4224 you can get the new fan plate, not have to hack it up, and make your 4224 a WHOLE lot quieter
  15. I think many more people have 4k sector drives than Macs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see it as a bigger issue especially with the January swap to only 4k.
  16. Ok, one of you two let me know
  17. Being selfish I'd like a 4.6.1 Even if this was the only fix to it. But I understand if you want a stable 5.x version for it.
  18. Definately not the easiest But I agree, it is the best bet. That I could script with reasonable confidence (although the dedupe might take some work).
  19. Right... so on WHS it finds all the appropriate media files and backs them up to their directories, and is smart enough not to duplicate them My wife likes to stick photos all over her laptop for instance so I can't rely on them always being in the Photos library. I'd like to be able to figure a way to do this with unRaid.
  20. Be gentle... CLI scares me sometimes So I've read through chunks of this thread. It appears like the best option for me is to use the all in one package on page 4 that includes SABnzbd and call it with the Go script like so: installpkg /boot/custom/SABnzbdDependencies-2.0-i486-unRAID.tgz python /mnt/cache/.custom/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -s MyUnraidIP Correct? So just download the .tgz, copy it to the flash/boot/custom directory, and let it rip?
  21. Ultimately the feature I miss most from WHS is the ability to have it auto backup media files and sort them into the appropriate folders. So it finds all the pictures for instance, or music, or whatever and dumps them in the appropriate shares. Obviously it uses the WHS extender software to do this. What I'd like to do is figure some way to make it similar for unRaid. I don't expect the exact same level of usability, but it would be good to have it. Plus when it aggregates it to the share I have them all available for my media extenders Am I missing an easy way to do this? Thanks, Paul
