  1. Does anyone know of anybody that has gotten glances to work for unraid? Just by looking at the picture below you can see how this would be awesome for unraid.... I tried to install/build it from source but had some major issues with dep missing files. ref: https://github.com/nicolargo/glances
  2. http://www.qnap.com/useng/index.php?lang=en-us&sn=3377 is what you want but i dont know how to do it on unraid. Im sure you can with some clever mappings and symlinks but i do not know how. Basicly trick unaid into thinking a mapped network folder is a drive then goto the share setting in unraid and "include" those "drives".
  3. http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/showthread.php?5050-Multiple-shares-in-one-folder Might help you. I would try to mount the shares from server 1 to server 2, then include those DIR's in the top level unraid share or just install plex on both and let plex server media.
  4. why is everyone freaking out, 1: you knew 64bit was coming 2: if you dont want to use 64bit DONT use 5.0.5 3. run VM's with a 32bit OS and install whatever 32 bit crap you want. I say Live and let live. Thanks TOM!
  5. gonna have to try http://slackbuilds.org/result/?search=virtualbox&sv=14.1 =)
  6. agreed kind of makes plex remote features aka sharing worthless though. Fixed it, leaving the post here incase anyone else has this issue. Unless a mod wants me to delete it. looked into Preferences.xml there is a option called disableRemoteSecurity="1" changed it to a 0 rebooted plex and BOOM Login screen!
  7. If anyone knows how to fix please let me know, if not be aware. Found a serious bug where anyone could delete my entire libary! If you goto http://MYWANIP:32400/web/ you have full admin control over the entire library!!! WITHOUT LOGGING IN!!! This is with the "Require authentication on local networks" option check in the advanced setting as well. Please tell me that i have something configured wrong and that this isnt a huge security issue waiting for someone with a port scanner to start destroying peoples librarys! https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/95727-serious-security-bug/ using: PlexMediaServer-0.9.8.18.290-11b7fdd-unRAID.txz as of right now all i have is port redirection done at the router so atleast people cannot mass scan for port 32400 and find my server.

  10. Questions: Does anyone with this server have any insight as to what is going on?? Backstory: Came home from work today with a dead PSU, swapped it out with another and server came online fine, however now my hdd caddies no longer have LED indications. any thoughts? 11. NOOB ALERT: what does "- unraid driver: support 64-bit builds (no impact on 32-bit build)" mean? That this is a 32 bit build but has all the stuff needed to recompile a 64-bit build?
  12. Only appears to show 8 of the 12 cores.... I suspect this is due to the 32 bit kernel. Anyone know a work around? root@Icarus:~# grep -i --color "model name" /proc/cpuinfo model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE model name : Six-Core AMD Opteron Processor 2419 EE

  15. Really digging your setup, keep posting updates for us. You said the passive heat sinks were not enough to cool it?
  16. Sorry for the late response, been moving. That link is the exact link where i bought mine (same guy he ships direct to your door via UPS ground). The guy had two of them and looks like he still has one =). The reason i went with one instead of abunch of smaller ones is like you said cost, as a solution to the weight i have added caster wheels to the bottom of the legs of the case that lock into place. Moving it around is easy now =).
  17. Do not go cheap on your UPS or you will be buying a new server. Most Soldiers end up replacing their laptop battery's after a deployment. I would suggest you get a separate UPS. Also depending on where you are staying in bagram you may be in "B-HUTS". Which are basicly wooden houses (think backyard play house converted into a room). Either way plan for heat@!!!!!!!!! Do not put your server on the floor (think snow melting and floooding your bhut/chew). Invest into a good UPS and cooling, without these you will be buying another server. Also bring your own wireless router and plan on running some CAT5. I am building my C.O.R.P.S. System with deployments in mind see: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=28414.0 You might be lucky enough to stay in a "CHEW" which is a shipping container converted into rooms. But plan for the worst. Best of luck to you stay safe! Let me know if you have any questions. Do not trust any "workers" and watch your back.
  18. Having been there before i would highly suggest UPS!!!!. The power there is generator ran and surges ALOT!!!!! (and goes out alot). If you get the main internet provider there (aka not your own satellite setup) its going to be able $75 per month for about 18KB/s download speeds. And you have to login with pppoe. Keep these things in mind as you plan your network. Do not be afraid to ship it. Shipping a fullsize tough box wwas only about 70 USD. Goodluck and be safe.
  19. Next will be the mods to bring the noise of the server down to normal levels AND at the same time taking my current server (see sig) and putting it into the CORPS system (2U Case). Main question i have is which should be my VM/Game server and which should be unraid. So its: MOBO H8DME-2 2x 1.8 GHZ 6 Core proc (12 cores total) 8GB RAM Vs MOBO ASUS F1A75-M LE a single 2.7 ghz quad core 16GB RAM (or a combination of them, Thinking of putting the 8 GB in the second setup and make that my unraid setup (swaping all the part sinto the supermicro case) and the 16gb in the first setup for VM/Game server) also added wheels to the CORPS system for moving it =)
