what wonders me a little ... as its listed in your USB devices ?

    Bus 003 Device 002: ID 2040:72a0 Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1265

your link is actually showing a pci card ...

may @ich777 rather knows something, but to me it looks like your card is (sadly) not really compatible, may due the "upgrade" from the pcie chip ...

from the Hauppage site Info ...

Same features as the previous model WinTV-HVR-1265, but with an updated PCIe bridge chip to replace an obsolete chip

    also not listed here https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge

Yeah the USB thing is weird - definitely a PCIe card - headless server - only USB device connected is internal OS thumbdrive.

As you and, @ich777 notes above, looks like its an unsuported card at best, or a faulty one at worst. #badbuy.

Thanks for your time, effort, and help - sorry for the time-waste!

Please, as always, post your Diagnostics.

If you don‘t see it in lspci then the card is not recognized by the system at all.

    Diag attached, apologies.

Yeah, I was hoping it wouldn't be a bad card, but possible I guess re: not showing with lspci.
I recall I had similar issues when I was trying to get my GPU working - system couldn't see it initially, but it eventually registered and works fine now, so hoping similar issue here re: drivers or something else.

    and what does

1/ the driver plugin page say ?

2/ ls -la /dev/dvb/ ... would be where to look for devices ;)

Sorry - my clumsily worded request - The DVB plugin says 'No Adapters found!'. ls -la /dev/dvb/ gives the same result as the image above - /bin/ls: cannot access '/dev/dvb/': No such file or directory.

Hey Ich777, I got this tuner off ebay thinking cheap way to get PVR, here in aus its DVB-T/T2

what entry level card/tuner would you use for an unraid setup?

if we got the linux drivers is it possible to get the 1975 Haupauge working or is it a waste of time?

    image.png.d2725a8aa88c0cf48ae84ce2be323eb8.png

Hi All/@ich777 I picked up a similar card - WinTV-HVR-1265 - but am having the same problem as @bbotto90 re: attached image - the card isn't recognised by unraid (have tried in multiple free slots that work with other PCI-E card.) Dockers fail to start if adding the /dev/dvb to extra parameters and not seen when calling lspci.
NB: running unraid 6.12.6 and the DVB plugin (kernel - 6.1.64-Unraid - doesn't see any adapters

  5. Trying to switch from Pterodactyl as it had some very slow startup times - wanted to see if puffer was any different or better.

Haven't been able to find any walk-throughs or how-to's on setting up an ARK server with puffer, but I've had no luck. Can't figure it.

Using the ark-docker template. Ports opened etc. So I click install - it goes through the motions - appears to do a full install of the app - and reports all went well.

I then click start on the server and it quickly fails (interestingly I see it does create the game container, which then disappears as the server fails.)

So this is the console - you can see the installation completes. I try to start it and it fails. Then I try to install again, and it reports it's installed - although I can't actually find the the game data... just the log and config files on the sever - then I try to start it again.

I don't know what I don't know with all this - probably something simple, but I just need someone to point it out and how to fix

    Hello everyone,

I need your help! I have successfully run pterodactyl exactly according to the great instructions of IBRACORP until almost the end. Unfortunately I have problems with the console in the game server (panel). I can access and play Minecraft on this server, but all the time I get the error message "We're having some trouble connecting to your server, please wait...". I also get a 502 error message in the log for the node. Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this problem? I am using the "NginxProxyManager". Thank you already for your help.

    grafik.thumb.png.4a93ca4e41c7e13ab77b7efd71e440f5.png

Dev-Tools ind FF shows this: Firefox cannot connect to the server at wss://xxxxxxnode.duckdns.org/api/servers/xxxxxxxx-8594-488d-86fb-c935583da9e7/ws.

I still have some understanding issues with forwarding ports. Currently I have the following setting:

    Router:

    TCP&UDP: 80 -> 1880 (for Nginx Proxy Manager).

    TCP&UDP: 443 -> 18443 (for Nginx Proxy Manager)

    Nginx Proxy Manager:

XXXXXX_node.duckdns.org -> 8002 (host port in wings to container port 8080)

XXXXXX_panel.duckdns.org -> 8001 (Port in panel to container port 80)

    panel:

    172.19.0.3:80/TCP <-> 192.168.0.100:8001

    wings:

    172.19.0.2:2022/TCP <-> 192.168.0.100:2022

    172.19.0.2:8080/TCP <-> 192.168.0.100:8002 Is that correct?

XXXXXX_node.duckdns.org/ shows this message in the browser: {"error":"The required authorization heads were not present in the request."} -> So, wings seems to be reachable from the browser

I have already invested several hours without success and don't know what to do. Therefore I am glad about any help. Thank you very much!

    How did you solve this?

    Hi all

i setup a ARK Server and everything works fine. But i can´t get the mods to work. I download the mods via my Steam Workshop - Run Ark to let them install. Then copy the mod folders and the mod files to "unraid Server\appdata\ark-se\ShooterGame\Content\Mods" - After this i add "?ActiveMods=731604991" at the Game Parameter field in the Container config.

But no mods are still there after a server restart.

    Have i forget somethng?

Did you get this working? Can you advise how?

  8. [SOLVED] - must have been a bad install. Re-install and seems to have righted it.

My organizr (fresh install) keeps auto-refreshing every ~minute or so. Does't matter where I am in the GUI (NB: i don't have any tabs or homepage or anything set yet - just navgating around the settings menu), it'll auto-refresh/re-load and send me back to the default settings page - barely have enough time to find/change anything before it reload again.

HBA is not being detected, this is not a software issue, try a different PCIe slot if possible.

Yeah, I thought it might have been a hardware issue re: the PCIe slot, however the slot works with a GPU so I took it to mean the slot was fine. And the fact that the card works in another machine mean the card is fine. So it's a bit confusing.

Regardless, I tested it in the other x16 slot and same result/no detection.

There's a couple other slots on the board - couple x8s and a x4, I think. I don't know the stats, but would it even be worth using these re: any bottle-necking?

I also skimmed through the DELL BISO and the BIOS level device configuration menu and couldn't see anything obvious there (granted, not sure what I was looking for.)

  10. Was using the 9211-8i (in IT mode) in an mITX intel system, using unraid. No issue with it - was plug&play.

Recently moved to a Dell Precision T5610 Dual CPU workstation.

Initially used the onboard SATA ports - everything fine - array and all data works fine - plug&play.

But the board is a bit older, and some of the SATA ports are SATA2, so wanted to use the 9211-8i to mitigate any bottle-necking (and there's only 5 ports so wanted expandability.

Plugged the card into a working (tested with a GPU first) PCIe slot - using same cable as was using in previous system, to connect all the same drives - but on boot I am presented with the array setup GUI and none of my drives are available to select.

I tried everything back in the old system again, just to make sure the 9211-8i had coincidentally died, and it works fine in the other system.

So I'm not sure what the issue is.

I did try another cable as well, but the fact that it works with the original cable in the original system kind of rules it out as the issue.

Have I missed something obvious here? I just expected it to work as it's a supported card and worked without any issues or need for any configuration in the other system etc.

I had a quick google and couldn't find anything re: needing to enable/disable anything in the DELL BIOS, but maybe...?

NB: don't have access to diagnostics at the minute as am off site - just wanted to get the ball rolling - but can post this evening if needed.

    Thanks!

NB: Satus re: Diag is: HDDs moved back to onboard SATA (as need to use the system still - everything working fine) and 9211-8i is installed, but nothing connected to it.

  11. Hi,

have a supported card (quadro K4000 - Latest Legacy GPU version (470.xx series): 470.182.03) that works and followed the instructions re: docker off/on/reboot etc. Card wasn't bound, but tried binding/rebooting then unbinding/rebooting just to be sure.

Still the plug-in doesn't recognise it.

"NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running."

Attached diagnotics (followed your steps from a post on the previous page of this thread re: uninstall/reboot/reinstall/reboot/c-state off/switched to legacy etc.

I think it should be possible but I don't own the game and I've stopped creating containers that I don't personally own (supporting such containers is a nightmare).

Understandable! Thanks for the reply anyway. If you do any VR gaming, it's a pretty good revival of the original carrier command. Best played with 2+ other people (lots of things to manage) though. Flat screen experience isn't too bad either.

    Intel® Core™ i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz on a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Z87N-WIFI rev.2.0. So 64bit.

    But one mission does work?

No. Before adding the force x86 variable, I was not able to get past the mission loading spash screen. It would just lose connection and the server would crash.

Seems like x86 is the only way to run it on my hardware.

    Thanks for the help!

Unlikely that anything changed, the container seems to run fine and also the game server seems to be started too?

Are you trying to connect through your local IP or your Public IP? I would recommend trying to first connect with your Public IP and then start troubleshooting further. I've seen that hair pin NAT not always working correctly for some users.

Did you change anything in the template besides adding your Steam credentials?

I've since made a little progress. Didn't change anything from the first time (besides credentials, I just set validate = true), just removed and reinstalled. It shows up in the ARMA launcher servers list - that's where I connected to it - it loads up all the way to the mission selection, but then it crashed when it gets to the next - mission loading - screen. And now I'm back to the same loop as before. Tried stop/start/restarting, but no dice. Doesn't appear to be a CPU lockup either. And again - no logs as the window just kill itself after a short time (which I assumed to mean the docker was stopping/restarting?).

  15. Hi @ich777 - having trouble with the stock ARMA3 docker (i.e. nothing changed other than adding username/pass for steam). Essentially, it won't start up. It seems to pull down all the relevant files, but I can't see why it's not hosting. The container itself is running, but the sever just seems to be in an infinite loop of not starting up. Additionally, it's tough to get any logs - when I open the container live logs, it goes for a few seconds and then the windows closed itself. All i have managed to do is get a screenshot just a second before it closes (attached). It shouldn't be a port issue - everything is forward correctly and not already used. It's not a steam login issue - using an account with no steamguard (plus I think I see in the logs that it logs in OK.) Is it possible something was updated since the container was made?

Where did you look for the config file?

Here is a guide but please be aware that your path has to be somewhere to be in your appdata directory in the folder for ConanExiles: Click

I found where to change the server name and pass. For me it was

    \\UNRAID\appdata\conanexiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\Engine.ini

Trying to figure out how to import an existing server... their guide is pretty vague about which files to switch.

    Thanks!!!! You are a star!

Hey - did you endup getting this edited?
I still can't locate anything in the appdata folder/s that allows changing sername or pass.

Also trying to figure out how to migrate an existing server to this dedicated one... any ideas?

    Setting the container up:

    1. Install dependencies: The Nightscout container relies on a MongoDB instance for its database. You can install MongoDB from the CA plugin.
    2. Set up database: Please refer to the official MongoDB documentation on how to set up a database and user. The user neads ReadWrite access to the database. Your db needs the following collections: activity, auth_subjects, devicestatus, entries, food, profile, settings, treatments.
      • You can also import an existing MongoDB database from another deployment by using mongodump and mongorestore. To get the dump of the remote database, enter the console of your local MongoDB container. Use this to get a local dump of the database (you can get the URI from Nightscout's configuration variable):
        mongodump --uri="<yourmongodb-uri>" -o <output-dir>

Then use this to import the data from the dump:

        mongorestore --db <new_database_name> <path_to_dump>

You still need to create a user that has RW permission on the new database.

    3. Install Nightscout: Download and install the template. Fill in the MongoDB URI according to the given pattern and link it to the IP address and port of the MongoDB container. Note that Nightscouts behaviour is entirely controlled by variables that can be passed through by Docker. As there are many options, only the most relevant are predefined and exposed in the template. Use the "Add another Path, Port, Variable, Label or Device" feature to add additiononal variables. Please refer to this for an extensive list of variables and possible values.
    4. Optional: Pass through reverse proxy: If you use a reverse proxy setup (e.g. Letsencrypt), you can use Nightscout with it. There is no preconfiguered Nightscout sample in Letsencrypt, but I had good success adapting the Nextcloud sample code simply by changing the names in the file. You also need to set the INSECURE_USE_HTTP variable in the Nightscout container to true. This is fine as it affects only trafic on the Docker network inside your server.
      • Note that Nightscout itself has no real authentification scheme for the main page by default, although it can be made to ask for the API secret before showing the page. This might brake some features though, so exposing it on the internet might be unwanted (although it might be necessary for e.g. proper remote monitoring).

G'day - just wanted to see if you would be able to help me get setup. Recently/today, Heroku announced they are shuttering their free tier, so ALOT of users will probably be looking for free and/or self-hosted alternatives in the near future. Being an unraid user, this seemed like the best option for me (and maybe others).
I have had a crack at setting things up myself, but am not having any luck connecting the mongoDB to nightscout. I am 100% sure it's (my) user error of course, but after pouring over the info/setup up pages for both dockers, I am still no closer to getting it functioning.

I was hoping - re: the potential influx - that you might consider roughing out a (fool proof) setup guide to getting up-and-running for all us less savvy users. Nothing too major (i.e. leave out things like transferring DBs, reverse proxies, etc.), just getting a working local nightscout. From there people can looking into importing data, reverse proxies etc. if they want. Thanks very much in advance for any time/effort, much appreciated.

  19. 265 hevc_qsv (Intel CPU) plugin.

Hoping someone (with unmanic installed) can please have a look at the plug-in and post the tags/av options/commands being used for encoding.

Or point me in the direction of the individual plugin file online, because I can't find them on the unmanic github or anywhere.

NB: I'm on windows and it's not a simple install, nor is there effective instructions on how to get qsv working on Linux (e.g. in VM).

So hoping to test out the compression in windows before I chase trying to get Unmanic working for that plugin.

    Thanks all!

OK, so in my testing, is seems that it may be a permissions issue?

I've run unmanic on a remote server (it's all mapped correctly etc.), and unmanic will pick up the file, spend a few hours transcoding it and then stick it in the completed tasks list as successful, but the original file in unchanged. And coincidentally, nothing registers on the data plugin.

However, if I run unmanic on the same server as the media files i.e. locally, it all works. So the only think I can think of is permissions? like it can't write back when it's done?

Solved this. I was using a value to path for the media, but changed this to a (bind) filepath where the media share was mounted permanently on the server (hope that makes sense?) and now it writes over the remote data as expected.

Here's the log for one that was done on the remote machine - but I can't really see anything that suggest a permission/write error?
