On Unraid 7.3.1 version with tailscale plugin version 2026.05.24.1252, was getting API not responding - nginx errors. The errors were being caused tailscale plugin. I am running a cache pool BTRFS Raid 1 for both data and metadata. 2 drives total, one of the drives is failing and I wanted to remove it from the cache pool. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/using-unraid-to/manage-storage/cache-pools/ I followed these steps: To remove a disk using the WebGUI: Stop the array: Go to the Main tab and look for the option to stop your array. Unassign the pool drive: Find the drive you want to remove and unassign it in the Main tab. Start the array: Restart the array to apply the changes. Verify removal: Click on the first pool device in the Main tab, then check Balance Status (for BTRFS) or zpool status (for ZFS) to confirm the device was correctly removed. Issue was when I got to step 3 after starting the array, the good cache pool drive shows "unmountable: wrong or no file system". On unraid version 7.3.0. ur1-diagnostics-20260525-0001.zip

"VPN provider 'custom' not supported for automatic port forwarding, skipping incoming port assignment." Trying to use Proton port forward via wireguard or openvpn. My configuration files are setup for using port forward and the correct servers. I have turned on "STRICT_PORT_FORWARD" and added +pmp to username for the openvpn config method.

I am looking for a docker or plugin that can replace google drive, replace google photos, backup up my windows machines, and unraid shares that includes a GUI. I tend to not touch my server for long periods of time and forget all the CLI commands for each utility, I want to be able set it and forget it. Then when I need it, I don't want to waste time trying to figure out the CLI. 1. Needs an andriod app to sync images like google photos (I am thinking Immich) and allow multiple users (think family) to use it. If someone deletes a photo I want it to go to a "recycle bin" and all changes are synced between devices and the unraid server. It needs to support encryption. Basically do everything google photos can do without giving my data to google. I do want to use google for cloud backups of the images from the unraid server but I want to encrypt the files so google can't read it. 2. Google drive replacement, same criteria as above. 3. Windows backup of files, I guess I could just use windows built in backup tool and save the unraid mapped drives, not a big deal here. The backups are saved to the unraid and then unraid saves them to another server and cloud storage (google) encrypted. 4. Windows image backup for the machines, currently using macrium free but no longer supported. Any other alternatives? I typically go 6-9 months, just depends on power outage situation. Guess I should get a whole house backup at some point. My UPS can only run for about 1-2hrs which is fine for most brief power outages (but 1 to 2 a year are longer). i5-11600k in low power mode. I try not to touch my system unless something isn't working.

I keep getting Unraid OS warnings for SMART attribute 197 on my unassigned drive (SSD). There is a known crucial firmware bug about this so I disabled monitoring of this attribute on the drive's smart setting page yet I still keep getting browser and email notifications about it. Is this an unassigned devices bug or unraid OS bug?

Yep, his template is little more setup for multi-server hosting (clustering) vs yours which is single server hosting. Maybe two ark docker versions templates? Clustering isn't a mod, it just allows you host multiple server maps and so that players can travel between the servers/maps. Ark official servers are setup that way.

I figured it out mostly. He posted the xml templates for the dockers on his github. He created a companion docker that handles server backups, allows server dynamic config (adjust in-game systems without shutting down the game server first), and most importantly automatically handles ark server updates and mod management. https://github.com/CydFSA/A3C He also posted the docker xml templates for your gameserver docker that is more tailored to ark server hosting, maybe you could add it to your default ark gamedocker template?

Can someone help with ark cluster setup (via Cyd's page 82 post). Basically trying to do this but I am a total noob at this thing. I have hosted before on ark server manager so I know the ark parameters but not sure how to setup the dockers/duckdns/config files properly in unraid. Willing to venmo someone like $20 bucks? Discord chat/screen share. I already have server files, just trying to transfer them from a windows VM to docker setup because windows VM unstable as shiz.

Is there an official fix or keep waiting for 6.10 release?

I know windows hypervisor handles it pretty well when the host OS is window based (windows server on the bare metal). Mixing host linux OS with windows VM is probably going to have quirks like this. I have enough unraid RAM in reserve for now, so I will just set the VM initial and max RAM to the same value to prevent windows OS VM from thinking it is out of RAM in the meantime.

I noticed if I set initial RAM and max RAM to different values Unraid will use dynamic memory for the VM. However the Win 10 VM reports in the task manager almost full RAM usage 100% of the time and seems to be caching constantly to drives. If I set initial RAM and max RAM to the same value, windows 10 VM reports normal ram usage via the task manager, eg 10% of Max value during idle. The issue is the Unraid now allocates all the RAM to the VM and isn't dynamic. Is there a way to have my cake and eat it too? Dynamic memory allocation for the VM and for Win 10 VM to not think it is out of memory? I am not passing through any PCIE devices so I want to use dynamic memory.

Server has been running fine for a 5 days now without issue now that I disabled HW transcoding on plex for now. Still not sure if igpu driver or plex related.

Sounds about right, buggy linux intel IGPU drivers + plex hardware transcoding. I don't really want to give up HW transcoding with Plex. I guess wait until a new linux gpu driver? Could be unraid related maybe but sounds more like linux intel GPU buggy drivers. Also probably doesn't help I am 11th gen intel which isn't officially support by unraid yet either. Do you know how to turn on some type of logging so I can try to produce an error report before it becomes unresponsive?

Not sure why my unraid server is becoming unresponsive after some time (a day, sometimes few days). All new parts. I attached zip file but this was after reboot. I am trying to split-tunnel some dockers like plex through my local public external IP while other dockers through the wireguard commercial VPN IP. Having the wireguard VPN running seems to route all the unraid traffic through the commercial VPN external IP which is causing issues with Plex remote access. If I disable the wireguard VPN then plex routes through my local external IP and remote access works as intended. Should I try to find a docker app for my VPN provider instead of trying to use the built in unraid wireguard tool (then I can just route selected dockers through that VPN docker)? I read a bunch of guides on this topic but I am stuck still. Thank you for your help. I have google wifi routers on google fiber. I can't set static routes in the router, only control port forwarding. Using 192.168.1.0/24 LAN addresses. I know google wifi routers arent the best for more advance features but they were included with gfiber.
