How to view unraid logs?
Hello, I just noticed my Unraid server logs sitting at 14% usually this is always bellow 10%. Since I once had an issue where log files went up to 100% I'm a little paranoid. At that time server restart fixed it but I was unable to download any meaningful information that would help identify the cause. Diagnostics pull did not complete after 30 mins and I just gave up and restarted. Now I would like to learn how to identify and read those 14% worth of logs. Any tips on how I should go about viewing the logs and finding out what takes up the most space?

Hello, I've been looked into tailscale logs and it is constantly logging this Is this normal? Logs should be somewhat meaningful to highlight issues and not have only same messages in them...

Failing Unraid OS update 6.9.2 -> 6.11.0
Hello, I am trying to upgrade my unraid OS and the update keeps failing... Any tips or do I need a new USB stick? I can also see these errors in the log: Oct 2 00:22:16 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Oct 2 00:22:21 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: device descriptor read/8, error -110 Oct 2 00:22:21 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Oct 2 00:22:26 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: device descriptor read/8, error -110 Oct 2 00:22:26 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Oct 2 00:23:17 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Oct 2 00:23:22 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: device descriptor read/8, error -110 Oct 2 00:23:23 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Oct 2 00:23:28 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: device descriptor read/8, error -110 Oct 2 00:23:28 DataServer kernel: usb 4-5.1: reset SuperSpeed Gen 1 USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd

Unable to boot into unraid - Unable to mount root fs on unknown block 0,0
1st one was PQI random 2gb flash. Unraid.net wanted at least 2gb free space on the USB for backup... Don't ask me why but I said fine and upgraded... 2nd was I think adata 4gb no external info to know if I'm right. It is detected as a USB device but does now show any storage capability. I think this one died due to crappy aliexpres internal header. The current one that had this issue is kingston datatraveler 16gb. All these were sticks that I found lying around. Kingston one was also received recently from someone else so I have no idea what it went through. I reused the original usb since this is my 3rd stick transferring the license would require help from unraid licensing and earliest that would happen is the next day... From your experience does this issue repeat often and should be blamed on the USB? Wondering if I should look into replacing the USB or at least preparing a spare one just in case...

Unable to boot into unraid - Unable to mount root fs on unknown block 0,0
Apparently it was the usb stick. I just redid it and copied the config folder over it as I needed it up by morning... This is my 3rd usb stick.... In less then 5 months...

Nope. I simply went and got a wifi printer instead as the cables were annoying. I have this slight hunch that a linux driver for the printer needs to be installed into unraid. But it is just a hunch...

Hello, I am trying to mount a drive that was replaced from my unraid array. This was a 1 TB drive and I upgraded it to a 4TB drive. [URGENT] Unable to enter registration page on unraid after replacing USB from cloud backup
I couldn't get the server up using a trial key... If any 1 could help me out with this while I try in resolve my proper license I'd really appreciate it... I need my array, dockers, and VM up... It should be possible to just copy the settings for those on a clean unraid install right?

[URGENT] Unable to enter registration page on unraid after replacing USB from cloud backup
I found this little option: NOTE: We strive to manually replace licenses ASAP. If you cannot replace your registration key yourself (having done so more than once per year) and you need access to your server right away, it is recommended that you first set up a new Unraid trial with a new USB drive and then contact us to manually transfer your license. Any instructions how to do this? Start a trial and then copy my existing backup on top of it excluding the key file?

[URGENT] Unable to enter registration page on unraid after replacing USB from cloud backup
Hello, I just replaced my unraid USB stick. My old one got fried as I tried to install an internal USB3 adapter... I got my backup from unraid forums my servers tab. Everything booter up and now I need to replace my key, but as I enter the registration page I am greeted with a blank page: Attached diagnostics. Some more details: Installation on my new stick was only successful trough running make bootable after copying everything from the backup zip. PS: I really need to have this server up by morning... dataserver-diagnostics-20220318-0112.zip

SATA link speed changed from 6 Gbps to 3 Gbps
So if I connect my drive to 5th sata port instead of the 4th these messages will go away? Wow that some interesting behavior...

SATA link speed changed from 6 Gbps to 3 Gbps
I'm more curious to the cause for this. Why did the messages appear on only one of my drives log? SMB settings seem to be global for my entire server... What makes this drive special?

SATA link speed changed from 6 Gbps to 3 Gbps
I changed my SATA controller mode from AHCI to IDE in mobo BIOS and so far the 2 main drives are stable without any weird messages. Speed for the parity check is identical so I will probably keep it this way. However I found some weird warnings in my smaller 1 TB hdd: Feb 20 02:19:41 DataServer emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdd Feb 21 23:00:46 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 21 23:00:47 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 21 23:00:49 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 21 23:00:51 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 21 23:19:05 DataServer emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdd Feb 22 00:38:34 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:34 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:35 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:35 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:36 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:38 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 00:38:40 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:12:15 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:12:17 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:12:19 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:12:21 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:13 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:13 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:13 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:14 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:15 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:16 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:22:18 DataServer wsdd[10966]: udp_send: Failed to send udp packet with Network is unreachable Feb 22 02:28:26 DataServer emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdd What are UDP packet messages appearing on one of my drives?

[Support] Tailscale Support Thread
Is your unraid server on a different network from the device you are trying to mask? By default this VPN will give you the external IP address that your unraid server has. It will not mask your unraid server to bypass geo restrictions. I just finished setting it up and it works as expected. Now I can get my home IP address and connect to my work place which only allows known IPs to connect.

Hello, Noticed that ibracorp documentation link for tailscale is down. It should be updated to: https://docs.ibracorp.io/tailscale/
