  1. Sorry my message crossed with yours. Yes, each of the folders is empty - it's just I can't delete them. My post above might be a solution.
  2. I might have a solution. As you suggested, I copied the appdata from the old cache to the new cache and it merged. All fine at this stage. Next, as the old cache was zfs, and the new one was btfs, I followed Spaceinvaders video and had Mover move the files to the array, then formatted the new cache to zfs and then had mover bring the files back onto the new cache. That leaves me with the old cache empty, apart from a bunch of non-deletable folders. So I wondered if I simply reformat that drive - its zfs at the moment, so I could format it as xfs to clear the folders andf thenformat it again to zfs. Maybe notr the most elegant solution, but it should work

  4. No, neither. But of course, it doesn't do anything anyway
  5. Did what you tried and pushed the Delete button - it makes no difference as the folder is still there.
  6. Thanks for the input - I did as you said and it worked fine. Still one final, very small, question - how can I delete the now empty Appdata folder on the old ssd cache that I moved everything from onto the new cache? FiX Common Problems is telling me they are still there, so it's giving a constant warning. I tried Dynamix File Manager but it wouldt delete it.
  7. So just to be certain what you are saying, at present, I have an Appdata docker fie (e.g. Radarr) in the old Cache with a few “subfiles” . I also have the same Appdata docker file (Radarr) on the new Cache with a few more “subfiles”. Your suggestion is to simply move those old cache subfiles into the new docker file on the new Cache. Does this mean that I just copy the “subfiles” into the Appdata docker on they new Cache, or do I need to merge the two “subfiles”together in the new cache.?
  8. You are correct - the MBP unzips the file. I've re-zipped it - attached wd-diagnostics-20240323-1344.zip
  9. No, I was watching a Spcaeinvader video so followed him - I didn't red the online docs. Sorry about the diagnostics - I didn't know. I've attached them - should they be zipped or something? 10. I just upgraded my server with a new CPU and MB. The MB has lots of M2NVMW ports, so I decided to set up a new pool with 2 NVME's and use it to store my Appdata - as Spaceinvader suggests. Currently the Appdata is stored on an old SSD pool. On the Shares page, I pointed the Appdata at the new pool and thought that Unraid would transfer the files across. That didn't happen, and I'm now getting warnings to manually move the Appdata to the new pool. I see that Unraid has put some Appdata files on the new pool, but it has also left a lot of data on the old pool. For example, I have Bibhex- Radarr on the old pool as well as the new pool. My question is : do I merge the old pool and new pool data onto the new pool, or do I overwrite the new pool by copying the old data to it. If I have to merge, each appdata folder has several subfolders, so do I have to go through and merge at a subfolder level? Any advice would be helpful Fogey
  11. Thanks, Binhex - that worked perfectly. Thanks also for all your great work setting up and supporting nour Dockers. fogey

  14. I'm getting a "Docker image file is getting full (currently 100 % used)". It then goes on to say "You should either increase the available image size to the docker image here or investigate the possibility of docker applications storing completed downloads / incomplete downloads / etc within the actual docker image here: More Information" I don't understand what to do - can anybody offer any helpful advice. Thanks Fogey
  15. Thanks so much for the info and your help. I was dreading working with Wireguard, but it turned out to be really straightforward. Wallis
  16. I wonder if anyone can offer any help regarding Unraid Connect. Sorry I’m a bit longwinded but I’m only just keeping up with the UnRaid technology. I run a Plex Media Server for my Seniors Group and am heading off to Europe for 6 weeks to visit my Grandchildren, so I’d like to be able to connect remotely and use Radarr etc to load in new programmes etc. Actually most of our programmes are not ‘new” but very old as, with an average age of 73, (I’m older than average!) we want to watch videos from the “good old days!” - whenever they were!. So I’ve downloaded the Connect Plugin and I THINK I’ve set it up in accordance with the notes. But when I try to connect through a Personal Hotspot on my iPhone (so its using a different IP) it doesn’t work . The Connect Settings I’m using are “Always On - Manual Port Forward “ and I’ve done forwarded the external port that Connect gives me to the Internal Port 443. When I hit the “Check” button, it tells me “Your Unraid Server is reachable from the internet”. When I go to the My Servers Dashboard, it tells me my Server is Online and in Server Management I can see and open all the Tabs - Main, Dashboard, Settings, Docker etc. If I click on a drive, I can see the contents so all seems to be working well there. However, if I go to the Docker Tab and try to open a Web GUI for a Docker, it is unable to open the WebGUI.. Can anybody give me a pointer as to what I’m doing wrong? As I say, I can move or copy files between disks or shares, and I can create new shares. I can see all my Dockers - I just can’t get to the WebGui to do something with the Dockers in remote access! Thanks for your help Wallis
  17. I have a recurring problem - each time I start Unraid, I see Red Warnings for 2 old shares that I thought I'd deleted a long while ago. They were 2 drives in a pool that I thought I had deleted (as I had re-named the shares), but obvioulsy I didn't. They don't show up in my Shares tab, they do show up in the MNT directory. At present, I go to Midnight Commander and delete them from the Mnt directory, but they still come back the next time a login is required and I get another Red Warning. I then have to delete them again. I'm getting fed up of constantly having to delete them - Is there some way of permanently getting rid of them? I'm using 6.12.2. Thanks for your help Wallis
  18. A few years ago, when I first started with UnRaid, I followed Spaceinvader One’s videos on setting up a Cache pool. Unfortunately, as a newbie, I made a mistake and instead of setting up 2 separate cache pools, I set up one cache pool with 2 drives. I quickly realised and reversed my steps and deleted the 2 drives and set it up properly. However, every time I take the array off line and then bring it back on I get 2 Red Warnings from Fix Common Problems “Invalid folder (name of deleted device) contained within /mnt”, on warning for each of the old devices I'd deleted. It’s not a big deal to resolve this - Midnight Commander gets me to /mnt and I can easily delete the 2 old devices. But this is only a temporary solution as the errors come back the next time the array starts. My question is - I know I screwed up initially, but is there some way that I can delete these 2 devices permanently? Thanks for your help
  19. So sorry, I just pressed the download button. Anyway, good news is that I've sorted it out - it was the EERO and its bizarre handling of Port Forwarding. I have a another modem/router, a Hitron Coda, supplied by my ISP. As we live in quite a big house, the signal from that doesn't get everywhere so I ran an ethernet cable from it to the EERO and ran a second mesh network with repeaters around the house. I was using that EERO network to connect to Unraid. As a test, I switched Unraid on to the Hitron Network and tried to open a port - and found that the Citron software is really good and even a newbie like me could do it. So I forwarded the port as required in Management Access and pressed the Check button and got the Green Tick and confirmation I am reachable from the Internet. So that has sorted that problem out and I'll steer well clear of running the Unraid on the EERO system in future. Your helpful reference to the Official Instructions for setting up remote access document showed me that I was, in any case, wasting my time, and yours sadly, trying to get remote access this way, and that the use I wanted to use Remote Access for was ideally served by WireguardVPN, so I'll be trying to set that up today. But with my new found ability to port forward on the Hitron, I'll have a better chance of getting it running. (Famous last words!) I still have one tiny question left about Unraid - you may know the answer as its pretty straightforward. If I click the Terminal Icon, I get a terminal screen - but the text is set to the same colour as the screen as all I see is a grey square. If I type something, the blinking white cursor moves but I can't see anything. If I backspace, I can see the text I typed as its now grey on a white background. Would you know how I can change text colour to white? Thanks so much for your help. Fogey
  20. Hello, thanks for your response. I'm using 6.9.2 and my diagnostics are attached. I suspect I got the "new guy" at EERO as he had to put me on hold 4 times to ask his boss, so the story about not supporting multiple ports could be wrong. EERO claims to be state of the art, mesh devices running WIFI 6 so I suspect it was simply to get rid of me. 21. Can I please ask for help. I’m very much a newbie, at the age of 75, so don’t understand much about computers or port forwarding. In a nutshell, I’m having a problem getting My Server connecting to outside my network. My UnRaid is on IP 10.0.4.30. I first set up the Plex Server in a Docker on the Unraid and it has opened port 32400 and it works really well. So my next step was to set up My Server for remote access. I followed Spaceinvader1’s video on setting up My Server and have worked through the steps in Settings: Management Access. I’ve got the Certificate issued and al I have left to do is to forward WAN port 14444 (in his example) to Internal Port 443. Initially, it didn’t work so, as I use an EERO router which did an update yesterday, I wondered if something had gone wrong there, so I checked with EERO technical support, who confirmed the port forward is set up properly. However, when I press the “Check” button in Settings:Management Access, it tells me “The Unraid server is unreachable from outside your network. Be sure you have configured your router to forward port 14444/TCP to the Unraid server at 10.0.4.30 port 443”. So EERO tells me the port is forwarded, but My Server tells me it isn't and won't connect. The EERO tech support guy then added that he thought the reason it isn’t working is that the server IP 10.0.4.30 should not open 2 ports. This seems a bit strange to me as I thought they could open multiple ports, so I thought I’d ask on this Forum, where I’m sure somebody will be able to help me out. Thanks fore your help Fogey
  22. I set up TDARR following Spaceinvader1's video. So far, I've done 221 encodes - but I have over 400 Transcode Errors! I've obviously done something wrong - can anybody help me please? 24. Oops - corrected that and it works! Thanks so much for your help again, particularly on a Sunday! I must say it's taken me a few days to get on top of things with UnRaid (I'm 75 so not as fast as I was) , but I'm now feeling marginally more in control of it. I shall certainly become a subscriber.
